《Because Of The Journey.》3.

Three hours later we was out of court. My mom being the happiest woman on earth and I wish to know how that nigga Jason was feeling. He kept smiling like a creep, I don't like him at all but either way I was happy for my mom. Even though we seem to fight a lot but if she's happy then I'm Alright. Right about now we were officially the "Williams". They got me to sign some documents declaring me to take the new surname, I had no choice but to sign it.
We were now driving to what's supposedly to be our new house or home whatever it is. To me it ain't no home because I don't even feel like I'll ever be home. I left home back in S.A, so this ain't my home. We pulled up in some neighborhood, with really nice houses, chilled to be honest. Seemed like everybody was minding their business. Good! Jason parked in front of a 2 storied house and smiled, "this is us", he said looking at my mom then back at me. I half smiled and spat out a cold "Okay".
My mom got out of the car looking like she can't wait to see the inside. Jason followed her and unlocked the door. They got inside the house. I sighed getting out of the car with my bags in my hands. I took notice of my surroundings, big houses with very wide porches. Green trees filled with life, green grass looking like it's even greener on the other side. There were not a lot of people out here, just a few sitting on their porches minding their own businesses.
I didn't even notice people sitting opposite my house. Some nigga gave me a head nod. I nodded back. He stood up looking like he was coming to my direction, and yeah he was. "Wassup?" he said standing next to me. "None much man", I replied. "You must be new here", he said.

I don't know if this nigga is stupid or slow but he surely sees the bags I have with me meaning I'm new here. "Actually I am", I answered his rhetorical question. He sticked out his hand for me to dap up "I'm Orlando", I dapped him up. "I go by Shane", I said.
"I guess I'll see you around Shane, you really seem like good peeps", he said walking off. "Yeah bet", I said walking up to the house. It was really big in the inside, smelled like coconut and a tint of coffee. Dim lighting and few touches of silver everywhere. "Hey, your room is all set and done, just waiting for you", Jason said. "Okay thanks", I said giving him a smile. "It's three doors to the left down the hall". I just nodded and went up the stairs.
I went down the hall and found my room. It was painted in blue, a white couch sat beside the window, picture frames on the wall but no pictures at all. I was glad there was a bathroom in here because a nigga likes walking around naked if she has no clue on what to wear and of course back home I'd do the naked run from the bathroom to my bedroom. I found that very funny especially knowing there were people in the house.
I placed my bags down and started unpacking. After I was done, i laid on my new bed, face first. Growled at the fact that I'm starting school tomorrow but it's whatever. I took out my phone and switched it on. A dozens of messages from people back home flooded my phone. I had a text from Ginger that mainly caught my eyes. It read:
Ginger💯: Now a nigga can leave without saying
goodbye, huh?

Shane: Don't be like that man. I had a lot on my mind. I
apologize bro.
Ginger💯: It's all good my guy. I love you and take care
of yourself.
Shane: Yeah bro. I love you too. Talk to you later.
Ginger💯: Alright.
After that little conversation with Ginger I felt a bit drained. Honestly I missed him, he was the only closest homie I had down there. Niggas weren't really down for me, they only treated me they way they did because they knew not to fuck with my dad, that's the only reason. But Ginger was like a brother to me, he still is and I'll forever be grateful for his real love and care.
"Shanice! Dinner is ready", my mom shouted from downstairs. If you haven't noticed, she's always shouting and always loud. It's mad annoying really. I got up and went downstairs. I didn't struggle finding the sitting room. Food was already on the table. I sat down and stared at my food. "Let's pray", mom said.
We held hands and she started praying "Lord bless the food we are about to have and also bless our new family", as mom was praying the nigga Jason started making circles on my hand with his thumb. I slightly opened my eyes and he winked at me. The Fuck! "Oh Lord we pray, amen", mom said. I quickly snatched my hand from Jason and mugged him. "Amen", I said.
We ate in silence and he kept looking at me, I was really uncomfortable. So I got up and thanked mom for the food. "Okay baby sleep well." " Don't forget you got school tomorrow," she continued "Blacky will drive you there." "Okay, Goodnight." I went to my room and locked the door. I really hoped I'd live a peaceful life over here but I feel like this Jason nigga will cause problems for me. As I was deep in thoughts, I fell asleep.

Entangled Fates Book 1 - Quantum Beginnings
“By far, the greatest danger of Artificial Intelligence is that people conclude too early that they understand it.” —Eliezer Yudkowsky Hey all, we're moving over to book 2. This content is in a state of transition. The book is now availble on Amazon (includes extra chapters): https://www.royalroad.com/amazon/B07W1534R8 Artificial intelligence was nearly mankind’s last invention. AI took off like a rocket, then when it racked up an impressive death toll, it crashed before it could blossom and took most high-tech industries with it. Resistance and fears became deep-set. Two decades after the infamous Rev. 4.6 incidents, humanity hasn’t quit dreaming of the wealth and power that could be at their fingertips. A new generation of mega-corporations rose from the ashes. When one melds a quantum computer to a barely functional mental patient as a PR move, there are those who seek to profit, those who want to destroy it, and Alex. Alex Sage is a typical college student trying to keep up his grades and maybe find a meaningful connection with the fairer sex. Then, an automated semi crashes into his home, killing his family and turning his head into a pin cushion in the process. Alex awakens to find most of his memories gone and an illegal AI hidden in his brain implant. Now the pet project of a tech billionaire and heavily in debt, Alex struggles to stay valuable enough to be kept online. Still grappling with the repercussions of his injuries, and threats from a dangerous anti-augmentation political movement, there are no easy answers and threats loom around every corner. Alex must use whatever resources he can to escape from under the thumb of a ruthless corporation, while keeping those he comes to love safe. Chapters will stay up on RRL until Aug 10. It'll go up on Kindle Unlimited after that. How do you get those extra chapters I didn't have planned for RR? If you want them, they'll be in the published book. Book 2 will still make sense without them - I made sure of that. But... isn't $3 a lot for extra chapters? Think of it as tipping me for a good job and you'd also be getting my eternal thanks. If you enjoyed it so much that the idea of missing out a few chapters haunts you, I did my job as an author and made an engaging story. What's in those extra chapters? Resolving a few issues, set up for the cybernetic revolution, a rather intense sex scene with a new partner, revelations of who's really pulling strings, and a bit of set up for book 2. Complaints that people missed out on it when it was published here won't help (sorry!). I posted this for the folks who helped me shape the book, which is you all! (Again, yay!) But... Why! Why not keep it all on RR forever? My editor likes being paid for one. For two, I'd like the ability to get broader readership. If I break even on editor costs, I'll be incredibly happy. What about book 2? Drafts for Book 2 will go up around Sept 10. My draft of Book 2 is done, and it will be handed to the editor once Book 1 is published. Feedback has been even more positive. Beta readers devoured it and wanted more. I'll add a link to Book 2 once it's up on RR. I'm more or less, using you all for Beta Readers, so you get it before it's "canon" and edited. I invite active and meaningful feedback during this process. In return, you get early access to chapters. That does mean that the book content or plot might be adjusted before it gets published as I refine it. Sex Y/N? Yes. I heard the feedback, 90% wanted it explicit. You all will get the "full" experience. Will I dump all of book 2 here? Honestly, I'm not sure yet. At a minimum, it'll be up to the 75% mark as we collect feedback, much like what I did with book 1. It really depends on how good the feedback is and how nice people are. Lots of support + meaningful feedback to make it better = higher likelihood you get all the book. Will be it up here indefinitely? No, it'll probably go up on KU at some point, but I'll make sure there's enough time for a large readership to grab it here. Then we move to book 3 which already is around 60K words already. What about other adventures in the same universe/characters? Yep. Absolutely. Nothing ready to share yet though. I plan to keep those side chapters and more slice of life stories as RR exclusive. Since I'm carving this off in book-sized segments, I'll have to figure out where those disconnected story arcs belong. I'm open to suggestions.

Sike, I'm not that terrible guys. She just got put into an assisted living thing. Which meant the bottom floor was up for rent and it didn't take long for Izuku's landlord to find a new tenant, or tenants. Eventually, Izuku listens to them practice so much, one of their songs gets stuck in his head. He takes out the trash, not even realizing that he was singing it softly to himself. Until the two boys hear him. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Izuku threw the bag into the dumpster on the side of the house, softly singing the lyrics that were now stuck in his head. "Hey, that's our song." A voice said from behind him. Izuku snapped his attention to the two guys sitting on the stairs of his front door. "It's stuck in my head because neither of you seem to have common courtesy to practice somewhere else." Izuku snapped back, not wanting to deal with either of the arrogant males.Shoto seemed unfazed by his attitude. "You've got a nice voice." He mused. Izuku eyed him suspiciously, not trusting his compliment. "Thanks I guess." He muttered. "Wanna join a band?"
