I hope you like it! (I'm not sure what situation to put them in so where everything works out, so this will be a little messy, OC; mine, Name Yami.)
I sorry for how long it took. :( I got really busy. Anyways, enjoy!
~
The wind ruffled through your hair as you walked along to your next detestation. Everything about today was nice. The sun was shinning and Tanjirou was holding your hand. A small smile pulled on your lips since it was quiet for once. Zenitsu and Inosuke weren't fighting.
"Looks like the gods gifted us today." You sighed happily. Tanjirou shot you a small smile and began to rub small circles on your skin with his thumb. Pink splattered across your cheeks at the affection. The farm land the group walked through slowly turned to a bamboo forest. The large stocks rose above everyone make the group feel small.
"OI! I want to cut something!!" Inosuke shouted, suddenly spooking you. You whirled around still walking. "Why? It's day time." Without warning, Inosuke and Zenitsu stopped. Tanjirou stopped to, jerking your hand.
By the force of the tug, you tripped and fell backwards. However, a hand latched onto your waist and one to your leg. A massive blush spread across your cheeks at the position. (Ya know, like that ending dance move XD) "You okay (y/n)?"
A warm smile pulled on his features as he let you stand on your own. "Y-yeah... What was the sudden stop for?" Zenitsu let out a loud screech and hid behind you. "Oi! Come out!"
Your gaze followed everyone else's to the wall of bamboo. It was quiet for a moment when someone shuffled out. He was covered in cuts and bruised. Wide fearful eyes similar to yours looked at the group.
Your hand left Tanjirou's as you walked towards him. He seemed to be the same age as the rest of you. His body shook with fear as the light caught a fresh cut on his cheek. The male feel to his knees in fear.

"D-Don't hurt me!" Tanjirou and the rest stood behind you watching the male carefully. You reached a hand out and placed it on his shoulder make the male look up at you.
Now that you saw it, he was feminine looking dude with grey eyes and short black hair. By his outfit he wasn't a demon slayer. "Calm down okay? We aren't going to hurt you." He looked up at you to where you noticed the light patches on his skin. A rare skin defect at birth where certain sections of skin are light instead of dark.
He gave you a small nod. "Okay, what were you running from?" The Male's eyes shakily looked up at you before crashing into your stomach.
The action shocked you to say the least. All pretty much became clear when a loud males voice echoed from the forest.
"You pitiful child! Good for nothing get your ass back here!" You stiffened in your spot while the boys stood in front of you.
Within a heartbeat, a tall fatter male stumbled out of the bamboo. It wasn't a man of stature by the ragged clothes he wore, stained to no end. Even the color of the shirt had changed.
Instinctively, you stood in front of the male by Tanjirou's side. Once the larger male caught sight of you, his eyes widened.
"Oh, what is a feminine little doll like you doing out here?" He got up in your face, the stench of alcohol clear on his breath.
Your gaze darkened. He seemed to be a drunk older version of the Male cowering behind you.
The drunk grabbed ahold of your chin, making you look into his fogged intoxicated eyes. "Let go of me before I chop off your reproductive parts..." you hissed.
His features dropped into a sultry humor. "I like em feisty. Always good to teach them a lesson."

You yanked your head away just as Tanjirou's arm shot between you. "I'm going to have to ask you to step back." The drunk man's expression grew dark and hateful.
"Eh?! What's a brat like you got to say about it!?" He pushed Tanjirou's arm down and forcibly grabbed your cheeks. Not only Tanjirou, but Inosuke and Zenitsu's expression grew dark.
His grip on your cheeks went down to your throat, squeezing it before you could react. You cant use the sword, you didn't want to kill him. Although he deserved it.
"Allow me to repeat myself. You let go of her right now." Tanjirou jutted the end of the sword into his side, making him release you.
That's when Zensitu and Inosuke began to beat him up for even touching you. Tanjirou gently grabbed your cheeks looking at the new forming bruises on your cheeks and neck.
"Miss... Are you okay?" You held Tanjirou's hand and turned towards the male. "Let's get you to a different town."
It was a while before the group reached a town where you could drop the poor boy off to live his life.
"Let's rest here for tonight." You turned to see Tanjirou pointing to a small inn. The group pretty much all agreed. Once the room was paid for, the boys bounded off somewhere too eat and would be back soon.
Sighing, you sat on the floor and leaned against the wall. Your hand caressed the former bruises on your throat. Before you could think, a pair of arms wrapped around you.
A present blush formed across your cheeks. "Tanji-Kun? Are you okay?" His arms tightened around you, pulling his body flush against yours. "No... I'm not okay when you're hurt." His voice was soft and hair tickled the egde of your ear.
"I'm okay... Really." Tanjirou slowly pulled away. His hands cupped your cheeks, brushing a thumb against your heated skin. "I'm sorry..."
Tanjirou began to press a kiss to your forehead. "There wasn't-" you grabbed his neck and pulled him into a kiss. One of soft, slow and tender. He flinched underneath your touch before melting into a puddle.
You pulled away with a sweet smile. "Its okay... Because you and the others are there for me." A small smile pulled on his lips again. It was such a warm smile but there was a hint of thought behind his rosewood eyes.
Tanjirou's arms wrapped around your waist and pulled you onto his lap, basically sitting on it. A present blush formed on your cheeks.
Tanjirou kisses your nose making it scrunch up in a way he loved. Then, he began to pepper small kisses around your face and neck. Taking care to brush over the bruises.
"I don't want... Anyone touching you in the way that drunk did... but me..." Tanjirou pulled away and adjusted his legs so they didn't go numb. You did something similar. "Think I'll accept that..."
A loving smile traced his lips again as he pressed a kiss to your mouth. Your arms wrapped around him as he pulled away slightly. "Hope you know how much I love you..."
You buried your head into his shoulder in a attempt to hide your blush. "Oh come on now." You mumbled a small response, still hiding in the fabric of his uniform.
Tanjirou snaked an arm around your waist while the other brushed back a strand of hair from your face. He leaned in and pressed a kiss to your cheek.

The Ordinary Life of Tom Nobody
[participant in the 2018 NaNoWriMo Royal Road challenge] The Ordinary Life of Tom Nobody is a LitRPG system story where each person transitions into the system, or SCHEMA as this system is known, innocent and unaware of his former life. Following the tutorial, memories return, but by this point, each person has a better chance of accepting their new world. It also gives them an opportunity to start from scratch, fresh without all the baggage of their former lives dictating their decisions in the early stages of the process. I don’t expect this will necessarily turn into an action-packed heroic tale, my intent is to create a character who wants to have just an ordinary, but reasonably comfortable life. I don’t know myself how well he will succeed, there may be twists and Tom may discover some heroism hidden deep inside. I guess we’ll find out together. This is my first writing attempt. I’ve wanted to write all my life, but I’ve never been able to develop the proper discipline to put in the work. I hope I complete the challenge and work my way past this hump. I am writing this as part of the NaNoWriMo Royal Road Challenge. While I will try to self-edit as I go, the challenge requires close to 2,000 words a day, so parts of the story may be rough, and things like plot lines may not make as much sense as any of us would like. If all goes well, and I complete the challenge, I plan on going back through everything and trying to polish it up. In the meanwhile, thank you for reading and I hope I don’t disappoint.

A Broken Kingdom
After fighting a diseased ancient silver dragon, Oskar must solve a mystery that leads him halfway across the world in pursuit of answers. This story is based on a character from a tabletop roleplaying game. I realized that I'd spent quite a lot of time planning out his backstory, and decided to go ahead and write some of it down. Then I wrote more, and more, and realized that I had a lot more than any sane RPG player should write about their character...

Short Stories by Regan Brooks
I use this page to try out new ideas, methods, and techniques. I'm in a short story challenge with a friend to write 1 a week based on the same prompt, so there will be weekly updates to this page. I have a lot of ideas for stories jotted down in a notepad, so this gives me an excuse to quit sitting around and actually write these. If you like what you read, 5 stars would be greatly appreciated. Follow or Favorite for the heads up on new WEEKLY chapters.

Starship Dungeon BK I - Recovery & Adjustment
Edit: Now with Prologue! When an unknown enemy fires a bizarre weapon at the Earth Defense Forces Naval Fleet in Sol system, a starship's AI attempts to sacrifice himself and his ship to block the weapon and protect the rest of the fleet. Afterward, he finds himself having become a Dungeon Core in another dimension, with no clue what he is doing. Fortunately, he has a dungeon fairy to guide him and a couple of friends who managed to come along for the ride. What follows is a journey that will forever change their new world in ways that nobody saw coming. --- Updates Sundays. --- Helpful comments, reviews, and general error checking would be much appreciated. --- Author's Note: Three of the four main characters of this story are all important side characters from a story that I haven't written yet as my skills as an author are not yet up to the task. However, I do have enough of the story nailed down that no changes I make in that story should affect this one. That said, the purpose of this story is to both practice my writing and to generally have fun with my characters and the world around them.
