"(Y/N)!" Muichirou was the first to call out her little sister's name. In his petite hands, a flower crown was dangling.
Her spirits were lifted at the sight of a cheerful Muichirou. Carefully, Muichirou placed the blooming bouquet on her head.
"(Y/N) is so pretty~ Oka-san!"
As Muichirou shuffle out of the house to find their mother, her sight was plunged into darkness, a slight pressure pushing against her eyelids.
"Guess who?"
She laughed, "Yui-nii!" The hands of Yuichirou left her face. He revealed a simple flower from his back. He commented, "Looks like Muichirou already gave the crown."
He placed the flower on top of her ear, a proud grin gracing his visage. "You're beautiful."
Her face poofed in red, completely embarrassed by her brother's compliment. "I-I'm not beautiful!"
Yuichirou simply laughed.
* * *
"Wow, (Y/N)!"
Muichirou held the now-fresh flower in his hands. He was surprised, amazed, bewildered, and happy. His sister just managed to bring the wilted flower back to life.
Muichirou praised, "You're amazing!"
As Muichirou turned to see her, his eyes widen in utter horror. His heart pounded wildly inside his chest and panic settled in.
"(Y/N)!"
He had no idea what to do, so he screamed for help. His little sister was collapsed on the ground, puffing out hot breaths and burning his hand with her hot temperature.
Yuichirou came rushing. "What happened?" His voice was shaking in panic and fear.
"I-I don't know. (Y-Y/N) was suddenly on the ground. A-and-"
Yuichirou decided on false hope. "It's alright. Everything's going to be fine. Let's go home."
The twins brought her home, surprising both of their parents.
"(Y/N)'s not gonna die, right? She's going to be fine, right?"
Muichirou was on the verge of tears. He could've paid more attention to her before she collapsed, maybe he would notice it and prevent it.
"(Y/N)'s going to be fine," their mother assured.

The patriarch ruffled Yuichirou's hair. The older twin was trying his best to remain calm, although it was clear on his face, he was dead worried as well. "You did a great job, Yuichirou. You too, Muichirou."
"W-what if she sleeps forever?"
"Your little sister is strong, Muichirou. Now, come on. Let's make her medicine," The lady Tokitou ushered Muichirou to the kitchen of their small house.
* * *
"At least let me carry the woods."
"No, you're not going anywhere, (Y/N)."
She deflated at Yuichirou's stern statement. The decision was final, even Muichirou agreed. She wanted to help her brothers in earning a living, yet they never let her. Not even as simple as going out of the house. It may appear disturbing to some but it was the best choice they have, especially now, since both of their parents had passed. Her body is not as strong as her brothers' and it's even weak to let her catch colds even in summer.
She sighed. It can't be helped. She was born into this world with such a weak body, that's a hard fact. Their mother always carried a guilt until the moment she died. Her last words are even one of contrition.
She spoke, "Fine. Be careful and don't fight."
Muichirou ruffled her hair, earning himself a whine. "Nii-chan's going to bring you some flowers."
"Really?" Her eyes sparkled.
Cute and precious. Muichirou thought.
"If you stay inside."
She removed his hand. "Where will I be?"
Yuichirou and Muichirou left. The latter waving his hand at his sister.
When they're gone, she glanced back inside the house, "Now. What to do?"
* * *
Yuichirou and Muichirou were quiet. Only the thumps of the axes slicing woods could be heard throughout the vicinity.
A thick tension surrounded the both of them. They were silent as they dwelled in their own reverie.
A kitten trotted by. Muichirou didn't miss it's limping as it passed them. He made an attempt to help the cat, only for Yuichirou to scold him for his slothfulness. Muichirou could only watch the kitten disappear into the woods.

Muichirou assured himself. After this, he's going to spend time with his cute little sister. She must've been lonely. Muichirou is definitely making her entertain and happy, even if his older twin, Yuichirou, had to stop him.
That was the plan.
His eyes widen at the sight of her collapsed by the door. A kitten was trotting around her, as if trying to wake her up.
"(Y/N)!" Both twins called out in unison. Yuichirou was the first one to rush by her side. He cradled her body, flinching at the high temperature. Fever. Yuichirou mentally noted.
Muichirou had his eyes on the mammal. It was the same cat that passed them by earlier. He saw the wound on its limping leg crystal clear. He got scolded, so he'll never forget it. The wound was gone. The cat left them, using its legs as if it wasn't injured in the first place.
His eyes trailed back to his sister. Yuichirou had set her on her futon, maneuvering around for a cool cloth. Her face was flushing red from the fever and she was sweating profusely.
Did she just heal the cat? Muichirou never thought about it before. It all made sense now. The reeling memories in his mind. The wilted flower became fresh; the sudden faint.
No. Muichirou tried to deny the fact, but he couldn't shake the possibility away. Is that why she had been weak in the first place? No, she had been sickly since the earliest of his memories.
Yuichirou placed the wet cloth on her burning forehead. Muichirou settled beside her across Yuichirou.
"You used that power again, didn't you?" Yuichirou guessed. His voice was cold as ice, yet there's a slightest bit of worry in his voice.
Power? Muichirou hated being in the dark. How Yuichirou acts before is another factor that supports his hypothesis. So, it is true that their little sister can somehow heal.
"Sorry." Her voice was low. "The kitten couldn't get home with its injury."
"Then hell with the cat!" Yucchirou yelled, "Your body is weak in the first place and you're going to make it weaker by healing some useless cat?! I don't even have to think to know it's a stray cat, (Y/N). Know your place for your sake."
She closed her eyes, "Sorry."
Yuichirou stomped out of the house. He was going to get some herbs for her.
"Nii-chan's right, (Y/N)."
It felt so wrong to agree with Yuichirou in other things, but for her, they'll do anything together.
Muichirou only received silence. Not a minute later, he left her alone.
The world sure is cruel for letting her live with such a fragile body. She hated being treated some brittle vase that might break anytime. She hated herself for being such a burden to her brothers. Heck, right now, she made it ore heavier to carry.
"Ugh, I hate this."
The door slid open, revealing Muichirou with his hands on his back. He ambled quietly beside her, hands still hiding behind.
"Cheer up, okay?" Muichirou showed her a crown of flowers. The sight of Muichirou holding a finely-woven flowers with an adorable bashful look on his visage uplifted her spirits. Muichirou is a cute dork.
"When you're better, maybe I'll ask Onii-chan to let you walk around outside. You'll wear this by then."
"The flowers will wilt."
"Bear with me." Muichirou blew a fuse. "T-then will make another one!"
"You can take a fresh air outside when you're feeling better."
Muichirou felt his soul leapt out of his chest at the sound Yuichirou's voice. When did he get inside? And, how fast did he find and make a medicinal drink for her?
Yuichirou sent a glare to Muichirou. He offered the drink to his sister.
Their silent exchange didn't get unnoticed by their little sister. A laugh slipped past her lips.
"What's funny?" Yuichirou asked. The cup was taken from his hand.
She grinned at her older brothers. "Nothing. You guys are the best."
The sight of their priceless expressions was definitely worth memorizing.
"I love you both."
"We love you too."

GameWorld: Earth's Apocalypse
Be careful what you wish for. The old saying holds true for many people, but none more so than Jaxson Stratford. An avid video game player and reader of post-apocalypse novels, Jax always wished for the chance to attain power and abilities like the heroes of the stories he read about. Then, he received his wish in the form of The System’s arrival. However the truth of reality in this new System dominated world, is something far worse than he could ever imagine. This story is similiar to many others on the site, but the 'System' is something I've thought about for some time. That being said, it is still being fleshed out, so don't expect the story to be amazing, but rather an entertaining read.

Re-Ordaining of the Chosen
Alea cheerfully hummed as she descended the steps, brimming in upbeat while her colleague, Quarren Leos, shot her a look of skepticism. “So… were you right about him?” he asked doubtfully. She came to a stop for a moment, her humming falling silent before she shook her head, waving her medium length light-blonde hair from side to side. “I was wrong about him.” Quarren raised an eyebrow in confusion at the convoluted response.“But you seem quite happy?” he asked again. “Because I am. But I was wrong about him. He was… so much more than I ever expected.” Alea looked at the sky overhead with a smile. “That boy… no, that man, is amazing. I firmly believe he will come to stand on top of any adversary he faces. He is destined. He is Chosen.” Quarren snorted as he stepped past, shaking his head. “Okay. Each to their own beliefs but you’re sounding like a nutjob. That skinny twig? Everyone calls him a cripple, you know,” he shook his head.“Rumours are always false, Leos,” Alea answered with a disapproving shake of her head. “You wouldn’t know. He is so, so much more.” “I saw him with my own two eyes. I didn’t see anything redeeming,” Quarren rebutted. “Well…” Alea chuckled. “You haven’t seen what I’ve seen.” In the year 917 of the Imperial Calendar, the Great War had just ended between dozens of nations. All were ecstatic when the current generation of the two Archduchy's, after the war, agreed to let their children wed. The excitement was short-lived however when the Aerianne Princess proved to be a dragoness among men but the Kanarian Prince was worse than even mediocre. The Prince disappeared and the wedding was shortly forgotten as society lived on. Until one day the Young Heir of Kanaria returned to Farrien a changed man, bringing demise with him. Follow the story of the Chosen ordained by the Goddess of Time as he returns to the past to right his wrongs and set things back straight again!
