NO POV
The sun began to rise over Syrup village. The town people started to emerge from their homes, ready to start their daily jobs. On the far end of the village their sat a large mansion. This mansion was owned by a very rich family and belonged to a girl who was loved by the village, Kaya.
Light started to leak into Kaya's room through the drapes. Kaya turned over to face away from the light. The door to her room was quietly opened and then shut. A small figured entered the room and walked over to Kaya's bed. This person got onto the bed and crawled over to Kaya's sleeping form. They then started to nudge her to make her get up.
???: Mommy, it's time to get up.
Kaya opened her eye and was greeted by her 6 year old son Jacob. She smiled softly as she sat up on the bed. Jacob went over to her and sat on her lap as she kissed his forehead.
Kaya: Morning Jacob, how are you doing sweety?
Jacob: I'm doing fine.
Just like Kaya, Jacob was very sweet and kind. A curious boy who loved all kinds of stories so as a result Kaya would tell him stories that Usopp had told her. With him being young and all he would always believe them.
The mom and son entered the dining room where they found breakfast waiting for them. After eating Jacob went out into the yard to play while Kaya stayed inside. At one point Kaya watched as Jacob ran around the yard. Merry approached her as they both watched him.
Merry: He'll grow up to be a fine young lad.
Kaya: Yes, he will.
Merry: Your parents would have been proud at the woman you have become.

Later on in the day Kaya entered the yard to find Jacob. She found him sitting up on a tree branch, staring off into the distance.
Kaya: Hey Jacob!
Her son looked down at her.
Jacob: Hey mom can we go by the water?
She though about it for a second.
Kaya: Sure why not, we still got some time.
Jacob: Cool!
Jacob jumped down from the tree and followed his mom outside the manor walls. They walked through the forest hand in hand. After a short amount of time they arrived by the water. Jacob played near the water as Kaya sat on the sand and watched.
Jacob was always a curious boy, and Kaya knew that all too well. While Jacob may love his life on the island, Kaya knew that one day he would want to leave the island and explore the world. Until then she can stay here and enjoy her time with her little boy.
As they day started to turn to night mother and son sat on the beach and watched the son set.
Jacob: Hey momma?
Kaya: Yes honey?
Jacob: Do you think that one day I could be an adventurer?
Kaya: Do you remember my friend I told you about?
Jacob: Yeah.
Kaya: Hey may have not been the strongest or bravest warrior, but he followed his dream and became a pirate. He made friends along the way and got stronger too. I'm sure you could be just like him.
Soon the sun disappeared so the pair headed back. Back at the manner Kaya helped Jacob get ready for bed. She tucked him in and kissed him on the forehead.
Jacob: Night, momma.
He dozed, Kaya smiled sweetly at his sleeping form.
Kaya: Good night, my little one.
