NO POV
The Black Knight along with Junior raced through the tundra on the hover bike. The wind roared past them as they made a mad dash for Mantle.
Junior: Hey slow down!
BK: Sorry kid, but we've got no time to waste. No telling when that thing burst. We've got to warn somebody as quickly as possible.
Soon the small city of Mantle appeared and it wasn't long before they were right outside the city walls. Luckily the grimm left a giant hole, making it easy for them to slip in. They drove slowly through the city, but no one was there. All that was there were empty and ruined homes.
Junior: Where is everyone?
BK: My guess is they fled. Those that were lucky managed to get up to Atlas safely. Those who are stuck here probably grouped together. Once we find where they are you can stay with them.
Junior: Wait hold on I want to stick with you.
BK: Aint happening, you're still just a kid. You have no fighting experience and just found out your semblance. The place where I'm going, even experienced huntsman would struggle.
Junior: But...
BK: Think about your mom. Would she want you to be running around as possibly the largest grimm invasion is about to happen.
Junior looked down.
Junior: You're right, lets just go.
The two then rode together on silence. They found out that everyone was gathering in the crater for shelter so that's where they were now heading. Along the way they encountered some sabyrs but the black knight managed to take them out.
BK: Hey kid, we're almost there. My guess is your mom is working along with those Happy Huntresses. Try talking to them and see if they know where she is.

Junior: Ok.
Just then the ground started to shake, everything to along with it. It then stopped only to start shaking again. Then off in the distance something could be heard emerging from the ground. Everyone looked up and saw a black geyser hitting Atlas. The barrier could only hold out for so long until it gave away long enough for some centinels to break through.
Nearby ships tried to blast the centinels but had little effect. The centinels proceeded to burrow into the surface and destroy the shield generators. Two of these generators broke off and fell; the barrier around Atlas disappeared. The giant monstra made its move, flying over and then landing on Atlas. It opened its mouth as the same black liquid flooded out of it's mouth and grimm appeared.
BK: OH SHIT!
Junior: Wait what, what's happening!
The black knight picked up Junior and sat him down on the ground.
BK: Listen Junior, the crater isn't far from here, run straight for it and don't stop. Right now I have a large hoard of grimm to slay.
Junior: Wait hold on...
However the black knight quickly sped away, leaving Junior all by himself. The young boy knew that he couldn't just stand there, so he started making his way to the crater. Above him he saw large amounts of winged grimm flying around Atlas. He couldn't help but feel bad for the people up there. While they may have an army, there was no telling how well it would do against this many grimm.
Junior just kept on running, the only thing on his mind was getting to that crater. The longer he stayed out in the open the easier it would be for him to become prey for a grimm. However he wasn't lucky enough, as several sabyrs turned the corner. Junior quickly ran into an alley way as the sabyrs gave into chase. Junior saw a pipe big enough for him to fit in but not the grimm, so he climbed in.

He managed to get in far enough just as the sabyrs appeared. The grimm tried to grab Junior with their claws, but he was barely out of their reach. That didn't stop the creatures from fighting each other to try and rip the kid apart. Meanwhile all Junior could was hope that the grimm wouldn't be able to reach him. But then Junior's body began to glow with aura again, knowing what was about to happen he held out his hands and fired a golden beam.
The blast knocked the sabyrs away; Junior stood still to see if the they were dead. He slowly crawled out from his hiding spot see the results. The sabyrs were gone. Junior let out a little laugh.
Junior: I did it, I just killed those grimm. Looks like I'm not as weak as everyone thinks I am.
Just then he heard growling, Junior quickly turned around to come face to face with this monster.
Hound:
Junior's eyes widened as he quickly turned back to the pipe. However the grimm's arm shot forwards and grabbed Junior. It then proceeded to throw him into a wall. Junior slowly got up, wincing in pain, he could feel blood coming out from his forehead. When he looked back up the hound came straight for him.
It grabbed him by the back of his shirt and started throwing him against the ground like a chew toy. Afterwards it tossed him back onto the street. Junior just lied there, covered in bruises and blood. As his eyes began to close, he saw the hound approach him. Then everything went black.

8 188An Average American in A High-school Academy Anime
An American versed in narrative tropes and more than mildly acquainted with anime wakes up in a completely different bed than the one he went to bed in. Now he has to scramble to understand where he is, what's going on, and hope to God he isn't in a relationship drama. I don't expect this to be good or well-received, but I have plenty of time this quarantine, so I'll try to get a chapter of 4000-10000 words out every one or two weeks. (haha) Please let me know how it can be improved. I'm an avid reader of fiction, but I've never really fallen down a rabbit hole so hard that I can name all tropes and settings and such by heart. I'm not sure if this will be effective satire, so I preemptively apologize. Inspired by: "My Life is Not a Manga, or maybe..." by EO Tenkey and "The Simulacrum" by Eganthale. Check them out if you want probably better stories than this one.
