It was a early in the morning, the sun was still peaking over the trees. On the training grounds stood Sage and a tired Jaune.

Jaune: Why are we up so early? "Jaune asked with a groan"

Sage: A good way to get stronger is by first getting up early. 

Jaune: If you say so, so what do we do first?

Sage: Let's start be showing me what you know.

Jaune and Sage went to opposite ends. They then both unsheathed their weapons and got into fighting stances.

Sage: Ready?

Jaune: Yes.

Sage charged at Jaune. Sage swung his sword and Jaune used his shield to block. However the force of Sage's swing knocked Jaune down. Sage went to strike downwards but Jaune got out of the way. Sage swung vertically but Jaune also dodged that attack. Sage swung once more and this time Jaune blocked with his sword. Sage swung several more times and Jaune managed to block them all. However when Sage attacked, the force knocked Jaune's sword out of his hand. Sage swung and Jaune used his shield and the force sent him back. Sage suddenly appeared in front of Jaune and knocked him off his feet. Jaune fell to the ground. When he looked back up, Sage was pointing his sword towards his neck.

Sage: Not to bad.

Sage held out a hand for Jaune and Jaune took it. 

Jaune: You really think that wasn't bad?

Sage: All you need is some training and you'll be great. 

Jaune: So what do we do now?

Sage: Strengthen your body.

Sage said with a devious smile which sent chills down Jaune's spine.

Jaune and Sage spent the entire day training. Sage made Jaune do push ups, sit ups, jumping jacks, and other things. Currently the sun was setting in Mistral. Jaune and Sage were jogging. Sage seemed okay but Jaune was covered in sweat. Finally Sage came to a halt.

Sage: Alright, that'll be enough for today.

Jaune fell to the ground once again, breathing heavy. Sage handed Jaune a water bottle and sat down next to him. They both watch the sun set.

Jaune: That sun set is amazing.

Sage: Perk of the academy being so high up here. You get to see this everyday.

The two sat in silence until Jaune spoke up.

Jaune: Thanks for doing this for me.

Sage: No problem.

Jaune: Why did you do this?

Sage was confused.

Sage: What do you mean?

Jaune: I show up out of nowhere and you immediately help, why?

Sage simply smiled.

Sage: Because, that's just how some people are. You have a great future ahead of you. One day you'll be the one of the best huntsmen in all of Remnant. 

Jaune was taken back by this.

Jaune: You mean it?

Sage: Yes, when you first arrived here you had the heart of one. Now you have the determination of one. All you need is a little time and you'll become stringer.

Jaune blushed.

Jaune: T-Thanks Sage, this means a lot to me.

Sage: No problem, you're old teammates might have been assholes but here at Haven you have a fresh start. A new chapter in your life that you can write. 

Jaune: You're right, this is where my story begins. This is where I grow stronger.

Sage simply smiled and got up.

Sage: I gotta go, I'll see you tomorrow.

Jaune: Ya, I'll see you later.

Sage: Same place, same time tomorrow.

Jaune was confused.

Jaune: What do you mean?

Sage: In order to get stronger you gotta keep working. So we'll be doing the same thing for the next couple of weeks.

Jaune sweat dropped

Jaune: I'm going to die here.

Sage laughed at Jaune's comment.

While Jaune and Sage had their conversation, they were unaware of 2 people listening in. Sun and Neptune. They were hiding up in a tree. When they left they got down. Well Sun got down, Neptune fell down. Neptune got up as he rubbed his back.

Sun: It's only been a few days and those two are close.

Neptune: Ya, Sage seems to really like him.

Sun: Let's just hope Jaune's gay like Sage. It would be nice to see the two of them together.
