Luffy: RRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOBBBBBBBBBBBIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNN! I'VE COME TO GET YOU!

While Blueno may have been a tough member of CP9, he was no match for the power of the second gear. Now Luffy stood on the edge of the gate, calling out to Robin. 

???: What happened?

Luffy turned around and saw the previously unconscious Kai and Peaches now waking up. Luffy quickly rushed to the two and enveloped them in a hug. Beyond Luffy, Kai looked and saw the beaten Blueno. His eyes widened. 

Kai(thought): He actually beat him. He actually beat him. 

Luffy: Come on, let's go get your mom back. 

From the tower, something large came blasting out. When the dust and rubble dispersed, there sat Franky and Robin. 

Franky: Damn, we nearly went over the edge. Hey, are you alright?

He called out to Robin, but she just remained silent. 

Franky: If only I had another bottle of cola, I could have gotten us over the edge. 

Luffy: HEY ROBIN, IS THAT YOU!

Robin looked up quickly and was shocked to see Luffy on the other side of the gap. Not only that, but her son was there too. 

Robin(thought): Kai, no what is he doing here?

Kai: Mom I'm coming for you!

Kai sprouted his wings, ready to fly. But was stopped by an angry voice. 

ROBIN: KAI STOP!

This shocked Kai, for he has never seen his mom truly angry before. 

Robin: WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE? I TOLD YOU TO RUN AWAY, NOT TO FOLLOW ME! DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT YOU HAVE GOTTEN YOURSELF INTO? ANY YOU LUFFY, HOW COULD YOU BRING HIM HERE WHEN U EVEN TOLD YOU GUYS NOT TO COME AFTER ME!

Luffy: What are you talking about? Hang on I'm coming over!

Luffy get ready to slingshot himself over the gap, but was stopped again by Robin's screaming. 

Robin: I JUST WANT TO DIE!

At those words, Kai's entire body went numb. Despite the crazed fighting happening all over the island, everything became silent. 

Kai: what....

The silence was interrupted by clapping, Franky became angry. 

Franky: You...

A foot slammed into Franky knocking back against the rail. 

???: You're in my way. 

From the opening Franky and Robin created, several members on CP9 came out. From a window below several more came flying up and landed above. All remaining members of CP9 were now here. 

Jabra: Hey look Blueno is down. HAHAHAHAHAH!

Lucci: Looks like he had gotten weaker over these past years. 

The government agents and Luffy began exchanging dialogue between each other, but Kai didn't hear any of it. For all he could think about is what Robin just said. Peaches tugged on the boy to get him to snap out of it, but to no avail. 

Kai(thought): She...she wants to die. Why...why does this have to happen to us? All I want is for her to come back. Am...am I the reason she wants...

From behind Luffy and Kai, the roof was destroyed as a tornado came blasting out. From the wreckage, Nami and Chopper landed down. The sudden appearance managed to bring Kai back to reality. Soon after Zoro climbed up and Sanji came crashing through too. Finally, Usopp was flying through the sky before landing up on the roof to. All members of the strawhat pirates have now gathered, all except one. 

Kaku: So, they all gathered now.

Kumadora: Yoyoi! In any case...despite that they are our enemies...they marched right upon our base...how admirable. 

Spandam: WHAT THE HELL! How did all of these pirates make it this far?

Luffy: Hey Robin listen up! Whether you want to die or not, we are not leaving you!

The remaining strawhats walked over to where Luffy was and stood along side him, facing off against CP9. Kai and Peaches remained where they were. 

Kalifa: They've come all this way after crossing Aqua Laguna. 

Jabra: They have luck that's for sure. 

Luffy: Hey Zoro, how are things going below?

Zoro: The Franky Family is handling things, they should be able to lower the gate soon. 

Spandam became angry that the strawhats have came this far. To him, this was the most important day of his career and he wasn't about to let a bunch of lowlifes stop him. 

Spandam: You stupid pirates! When will you realize just how grave of a situation you are in? You stand before CP9, the greatest group of assassins the government has. Not only that but the Gates of Justice, which can't be opened by human strength. But to top it all of, I have the authority of the buster call. 

Spandam pulled out a golden transponder snail. Robin's eyes widened in horror when she saw it. 

Robin: The buster call!

Spandam looked at her with an evil grin. 

Spandam: Yes, the same power that destroyed you home. 

The strawhats were clueless at what Spandam meant. Even Kai didn't know for Robin never told him about his past. At sight of the golden snail, she began to have vivid flashbacks of the day she watched her home island burn down. 

Robin: You...you don't understand.

Spandam: What the hell are you talking about?

Robin: If you push that button, you will be wiped out to. 

Spandam: What kind of nonsense is that, we wouldn't be wiped out by our own people. 

Robin: My home island was wiped out along with everyone who lived on it. And it was all because of the buster call. And now, that deadly power is pointed not only at my friends, but my own son. The more I want to be with them, the more fate bares its fangs. I have a huge enemy, for the whole world is after me. 

Everyone continued to listen as Robin spoke. 

Robin: The night Kai was born, it was the happiest I have been since I lost my home. But then he was abducted and used against me. And when I met the strawhats, and thought I could be apart of them, that was until Aokiji appeared. Everyone close to me only gets dragged down. 

She then talked directly to the strawhat pirates. 

Robin: I'm grateful for everything you guys have done for me. But if I continue to stay I will only be a burden to you all. Just take Kai and go, forget about me! I'm going to die one day, MIGHT AS WELL BE TODAY!

Kai: SHUT UP!

Now it was Robin's turn to be surprised. She looked down at Kai, who was now crying. 

Kai: I don't care about any of that. I don't care about who's after you or the consequences. All I want is you back. I'm tired of us being separated, I'm tired of always being on the run. If being wanted by the world is what it takes for you to return then so be it. I just want my mom back. 

Kai just sat there and sobbed as Robin looked at him, feeling broken. 

Robin: Kai...

She was interrupted by Spandam's loud and obnoxious laughing. 

Spandam: Enough of that snooze fest, the kid is just as a nuisance as his mom. Listen here brat, as long as she is alive, we will never stop hunting her. And you want to know why, look above. 

He gestured to the world government flag that was waving on top of the tower. 

Spandam: That right there is the symbol of the World Government. It symbolizes the unity of over 170 nations, all of which span across the four corners of the sea. In other words, we are the world! You think you lowly criminals stand a chance against it!?

Luffy just stared at the flag.

Luffy: Is that so...hey Sokeking....shoot that flag down. 

Usopp: Roger

Usopp pulled back his giant slingshot and let it loose. A ball of fire was sent flying through the fire and made contact with the flag, setting it on fire. As marines all across the island saw this, they were completely dumbfounded. 

Spandam: ARE YOU INSANE! DO YOU THINK YOU WILL BE ABLE TO SURVIVE THE THE POWER OF THE WORLD GOVERNEMNT!

LUFFY: BBBBBRRRRIIINNNGGG IIITTTT OOONNN!

Spandam fell back from the shock at how loud Luffy said that. Robin started tearing up. 

Luffy: Robin, you still haven't said it! SAY YOU WANT TO LIVE!

Memories flashed through Robin's head. From death of her mother, to watching her home burn, to everyone who has dais she doesn't deserve to live. Then she remembered her time with the scholars, with Saul, then to Kai and the strawhat pirates. It all became to much for her. 

Saul(flashback): The sea is vast, so someday, definitely, you will come across friends who will protect you. 

Her snapped up, and with a great cry she screamed...

Robin: I WANT TO LIIVVVEEE! TAKE ME TO THE SEA WITH YOU!

With a grin on his face, Luffy snapped his knuckles. 

Luffy: Let's go!
