NO POV

People all across Atlas were running for their lives to escape this monster. All around the city buildings were being destroyed as if it were nothing. The soldiers did their best but their weapons proved to be ineffective. 

Soldier1: COME ON, KILL THIS BASTARD!

Soldier2: It's no use sir, our weapons aren't working!

The two soldiers then got smashed by a giant tendril. Things only got worse from here.

(scene change)

A bullhead flew across the sky. This bullhead contained all of our heroes. They were heading towards the main Atlas base. As they zipped through the sky, everyone looked at the ground below. Seeing various explosions.

Weiss: I cant believe this happening.

Ren: It's unreal.

Blake: It makes the fall of Vale look like nothing.

Neptune: And it will only get worse if we don't stop Salem.

Soon the bullhead arrived in the main hangar. Once they landed every soldier in their pointed their weapons at them.

Winter: This is Winter Schnee, come out now with your hands up!

Everyone exited the bullhead. The soldiers were surprised to see four of Remnants most wanted criminals(one of which was knocked out), 9 teenagers(one of who was also knocked out), Quill, Neptune, a little girl, and an old lady.

Winter: Weiss?

Weiss: Hey Winter.

Winter: Care to explain what you are doing here with them?

She gestured towards Roman, Jade, Aaron, and Neptune.

Quill: Winter listen to me! Neptune knows how to win this fight, we just need your help and we can do it!

Winter: You think I would stoop so low to work with a pack of criminals!

Maria: This is why I don't like Atlas, nothing but arrogant jerks who only think about their pride.

Weiss: Winter, you think you can take that thing on all by yourself!

Winter: We'll find a way-

All of the monitors in the hangar suddenly went fuzzy. Then it showed Watts with a bunch of people behind him, some of which were faunas. 

Watts: Attention people of Atlas, my name is Arthur Watts. I was banned from Atlas due to my questionable experiments. But now I have returned to inform you all. A new era is upon us, the era of grimm. And it will start with the fall of Atlas, with my creations.

The people behind him took of their mask. Their eyes transformed to red pupils and black sclera. Everyone gasped in shock.

Watts: I present you the newest grimm, the ghoul. Inspired by the One Eyed Owl himself. They poses all of the abilities as him with an extra terrifying feature. They only eat human flesh.

Multiple screams could be heard.

Watts: These grimm are unstoppable, observe for your self.

It then switched to a camera feed of soldiers fighting ghouls. Some ghouls had wings that shot out crystals, some had blade like weapons, some had tendrils, and others had tails. No more how hard the soldiers fought, they were all taken down in less than 10 seconds. It then switched back to Watts, but his left eye was red and black.

Watts: May the gods have mercy.

The feed ended, everyone was speechless.

Winter: Okay what's your plan?

Neptune: First take care of those two.

He pointed over to Tock and Sun. A couple of soldiers went over to them and carried them to an infirmary. Winter then gestured everyone to follow her. However Quill stopped Oscar from following.

Quill: Best you don't fight her, plus we need someone to watch Neo.

Oscar: I'm not denying it.

Oscar picked up Neo.

Neo: Please find my daddy.

Quill smiled at the little girl.

Quill: Don't worry we will.

Quill then rejoined the group. They entered a large room with a table in the middle, showing a holographic projection of Atlas in it's current condition.

Winter: So tell me Neptune, how do we win this?

Neptune: All we need to do is take out Salem.

Winter: And where is she exactly?

Neptune pointed to the head of the creature. Ren groaned.

Ren: Of course she's in the giant monster.

Neptune: She's acting as the creature's heart, take her out and the dragon will die.

Ruby: Dragon?

Neptune: It's what she calls it. Any way all we have to do is storm inside and find her. So tell me Winter, what can you do for us?

Winter: I've replaced most of our forces with sentinel, however they cant them back much longer. Soon we'll have to resend our soldiers back out there.

Neptune: We'll need those forces to get inside.

Winter: I cant leave our citizens vulnerable!

???: Then send us.

Everyone turned to see Team CFVY standing there.

Ruby: Hey guys, long team no see.

Yatsuhachi: Wish we could have meet under circumstances.

Pyrrha: Are you sure you guys can hold them off?

Coco: Give us some backup and we'll be find.

Winter: Then it's settled, Team CFVY will lead a team to safe the citizens. Everyone else will focus on fighting the dragon. Everyone, get ready.

(timeskip)

 The plan was in motion. In one part of the city Team CFVY protected the people from the ghouls. Coco would use her gun to fill cover the ghouls in holes and her team would finish the job. In another part Team RWBY, NPR, Quill, Neptune, and Maria were leading the assault on the dragon. Currently they were right outside the school. But it proved to more difficult than expected. 

More ghouls were there than expected. Neptune had an easy time taking out ghouls. He would use his wings to shoot daggers and then stab with his blade. Ruby also had it easy thanks to her oversized scythe. Ren and Pyrrha teamed up; Ren would slice and then Pyrrha would finish off by stabbing. Jade and Aaron teamed up and had a better chance of killing. Roman had it easy thanks to his giant weapon which sliced the ghouls open. Everyone else wasn't fairing so good. Yang and Nora had trouble with there weapons since they didn't do enough damage. Blake and Weiss faired better, but still had trouble due to the ghoul's regeneration. 

Quill POV

A ghoul with a blue blade ran up to me but I slashed him across his chest before he could reach me. Another ghoul with a grey tail charges and I stab him. Then a ghoul with a purple blade charges so I shoot it multiple times in the chest. Despite this, things weren't looking good for us. There were too many ghouls and our soldiers were fighting off other ghouls just so we could get this far. 

Just then a ghoul with wings leaps into the air and fires shards at me. I jump out of the way and the ghoul lands. He charges at me and fires more shards. I spin my sword and block his attack. When he gets close enough I slash him across his stomach. He goes to attack me but I stab him. I don't know how much longer we can hold out. Everyone is getting tired. All of a sudden something comes crashing into the street, creating a large dust cloud. From the dust cloud comes hundred of crystal shards, which impale most of the ghouls. The dust clears and this is what I see.

NO POV

Everybody: YIN!!!

Ghouls charged at Yin and he charged as well. When the ghouls got close tp him, he easily killed them. He swung his giant shoulder blades which sliced the ghouls open, killing them. More ghouls charged and Yin fired more shards. Soon all the ghouls were dead. Yin's spikes, blades, and mask disappeared. Everyone ran up to him.

Jade: What happened to you!

Yin: Broke out, went berserk, came face to face with Cinder, nearly killed, but survived. Enough about me, where's Neo?

Quill: Don't worry she's safe back at army headquarters.

Yin: That's good, hey is that Neptune?

Neptune: Yep it's me.

Yin: What are you doing here?

Neptune: Helping

Yin: That's nice to hear.

Ren: You're acting surprisingly calm about this.

Yin: These are crazy times we live in.

Aaron: Yin we know how to beat this thing!

Yin: Really how?

Weiss: We have to beat Salem and the dragon will die.

Yin: Where's Salem?

Everyone pointed to the dragon. Yin had an annoyed face.

Yin: Of course, why wouldn't she be in the monster.

Quill: Let's go!

Everyone turns to enter the school but from afar more ghouls are charging. Neptune steps forwards.

Neptune: You guys go on ahead, I'll take care of them.

Yin: Are you sure?

Neptune: I got this.

Pyrrha: Then let us help.

Pyrrha, Ren, and Nora stepped forwards. Neptune smiled.

Neptune: Thanks guys.

Ren: Let's do this.

Nora: Don't worry guys, we got this!

Everyone gave them a thumbs up and entered the school. Leaving the four of them to deal with the horde.

Neptune: I'LL GUT YOU ALL!

Neptune screamed as his mask appeared on his face.
