Part 14 -

We pulled up at the motel and walked to Eddie's room

Being back here was weird, even though we were here earlier it felt like weeks ago. So much had happened since we were all stood here

I walked passed the bathroom and stopped

I looked back to see Eddie's blood was still on the floor from when Eddie got stabbed by Bowers

"Well 5* on how clean this place is..." Bill said, he tried to make me laugh I could tell. The whole ride here he was trying but I just couldn't do it

I walked to Eddie's room and saw all his stuff were in piles on the bed

"Only Eddie would plan his outfits on the bed." Bill laughed and walked in

I sat next to his stuff and ran my fingers over his clothes

I pulled a shirt up and I could smell his cologne already, the tears threatening to fall

"Hey hey! It's okay." Bill said and sat next to me, pulling me into him

"It's not though. I-I'm trying to be strong but what if he doesn't-" I stopped myself not being able to say it

"I don't think that will happen Y/N, he has so much reason to live. I know he will pull though you just have to stay positive okay?"

I sighed and nodded "Alright."

"Richie texted him and the others are on their way to the hospital if you want to hurry back?"

I nodded and grabbed a clean set of clothes and his cleaning products

"Y/n.. he's not going to care about hand lotion when he wakes up." Bill laughed

"This is Eddie remember?"

He chuckled "That is true, come on." He said and we headed back to the hospital

I walked over to his room and saw everyone waiting outside

"Y/N!" Richie pulled me into a hug "How you feeling?"

I nodded "I'm okay, how are you guys?"

"We're good." Beverly said and smiled over to Ben

"Oh really..." I winked making her blush

"We tried to go in but his wife is currently speaking to him." Richie said and rolled his eyes

I nodded and sat down next to Mike

"Guys fuck this. Fuck sitting around letting people tell us what to do. Eddie is our friend, our best friend. We shouldn't be stood out here why the woman of evil is in there. so come on, I'm going in." Richie said

I didn't hesitate and followed him in

Everyone followed into his room to see his wife was still by his side on her phone

"Wow he looks like shit." Richie said

Myra looked from her phone to Richie and rolled her eyes

"One visitor only." She said

"You take up the space of 5..." Richie said

I nudged him with my elbow

"Sorry, it's just we wanted to check up on him Mrs. Kaspbrak." Beverly said

Mrs Kaspbrak. That should be my last name. she didn't even care for Eddie, she just liked having control over him

"Whatever, you have 5 minutes." She said and went back to her phone

I looked over to Bill and he just gave me a smile. I wanted to run over to Eddie and grab his hand again but I couldn't.

"Has the doctor said anything? If he's going to wake up or not?" I asked

His wife looked at me "Does it look like he's awake?"

"Erm no.."

She didn't reply and just looked back at her phone

"Well we can see where Eddie gets his humor from." Richie said

"Excuse me?" she stood up

"You heard me, we are all here to support our friend and you seem more bothered about candy crush." Richie said

"He's not exactly saying much." She said

"Guys..." Mike said

"Well the least you could do is update us." Richie said

"Guys.." Mike replied but they carried on going back and forth making digs to one another

"GUYS!" Mike raised his voice

"What now Mike?" Richie asked

"Eddie's moving." He said

I turned to him and grabbed his hand, without a second thought of what his wife might think

"Eddiebear?" Myra said

"Y-y-y

." Eddie mumbled

My eyes widened to hear him say my name, especially over his wife's. I looked over to his wife who clearly heard it too as her face looked furious.

"He's awake! G-guys, he's awake!" I grinned

"H-he said Myra." She said and smiled towards Eddie, rushing over to him

She grabbed his hand and sat down

"Yeah sure he did." Richie rolled his eyes, which I tried to hold back my laugh

Myra looked at Richie giving him a glare

"come on Eddiebear, I'm here don't worry." The nickname instantly earning a snicker from Richie

"Y/n..." Eddie said, his voice coming out like a quiet croak

"I'm here Eddie" I said "you're okay. You're actually okay." I smiled, the tears rolling down my cheeks

"Maybe you should all leave now. He needs air, clean air. All of you taking it up." She said, throwing me daggers

"Sure. Tell Eddie we are thinking of him and will be back later." Beverly said

"What? No I'm not leaving." I said

"Excuse me?"

"Well I'm sorry but you've been on your phone the whole time. You don't even care for him! He could've died!" I said, my voice getting louder

"Leave." She said sternly

I was about to refuse when Bill grabbed my arm

"Bill.."

"I know but come on."

I sighed and dropped Eddie's hand and followed the others out

"Just me who thinks it's weird she calls him the same name his mum did?" Richie said

I nodded and agreed

"I-I want to be in there." I said, before I knew it I started to cry

Bill sighed "I know y/n." He pulled me into a hug "But whether she's a bitch or not, she's his wife and will always be allowed in there over us."

I sighed and nodded "I know. But it's not fair! She doesn't care about him!" I said

"It's okay, I know. Hopefully he will realize that now."

"Is anyone else still wondering how henry survived that fall down the well?" Richie asked

I started to laugh, shaking my head at him

"What?" He asked

We all smiled, for the first time in ages

"Shall we get some food? I'm starving." Ben asked

"Woah now you got the girl you don't want to put all the weight back on." Richie said

"Keep it shut Richie." Ben laughed

Bill put his arm around my shoulder as we all left for food.

The next day me and Richie were going to see Eddie, the others had a lot going on so they couldn't make it

"So Ben and Beverly who would've thought." Richie said

"Everyone?" I laughed "It was obvious he was in love with her the minute he looked at her."

He nodded "Now it's just you and Eddie to get together."

I shrugged "What if he doesn't feel that way? I mean we've kissed in this past week yeah but only when the emotions are high." I sighed

"This is you and Eddie. It's always been you and Eddie. Of course he feels the same! My emotions were running high you didn't see me kiss mike." He joked

I smiled "True."

"Why don't you go in there and take your chance? What's the worst that could happen?" he said

He was right, it's not like I have him anyway so I might as well take my chance.

We got to the hospital and walked to Eddie's room, the nerves hitting me

I walked in and frowned, when I was met with an empty bed

"Wait where is he?" I asked

Barbara came over and stopped "Oh hey, what you doing here?"

"Where's Eddie?" I asked

He looked at me then Richie "She didn't tell you?"

"Tell me what?" I asked

She sighed "His wife got him transferred."

"Wait what? She got him transferred? Why?" I asked

She shrugged "look I don't know, I don't even know where he was transferred to. All I know it she wasn't very happy when Eddie kept asking for you. Maybe that's why." She said

"She can't do that! Can she?" I looked at Richie who sighed

"Come on let's get you home." He said

"No! this isn't fair!"

"I know love, I'm sorry." She said and gave me a small smile before leaving us to it

"I-I didn't even get to say bye." I mumbled, my heart breaking all over again

"I know come on." He said and we both left the hospital

It's fair to say I was in a mood for the rest of the day. He finally woke up and I lost him all over again, this time probably for good.
