Standing by my sister's side, we were no longer holding hands, but we were still waiting in anticipation of the guys' next moves.
"oh..look what we have behind door #3" Suddenly, Stu pulled our dad out from the basement as he struggled with the tape and rope that had him bound
"Daddy" We tried to run to our father before Billy stopped us.
"Let him go. This has nothing to do with him," I shouted, motioning to my father, who was trying to fight Stu's hold on him, but my pleading went unanswered.
Talking through the voice changer, Stu smirked. "Guess we won't be needing this anymore. Uh-huh," he put the voice changer in my dad's pocket along with the phone.
"Got the ending figured out yet, Sid?" Billy taunted; Sid shook her head softly, still not understanding, she glanced at me, but I had no idea either.
"Come on, girls, you think about it now, huh?" Stu crooned as neither of us, understood, "Your daddy's the chief suspect we cloned his cellular. The evidence is all right there, baby!" I gasped, realizing what they had planned as Sidney sobbed next to me.
"What if your father snapped? Your mother's anniversary set him off, and he went on a killing spree. Killing everyone," Billy picked up as he eyed the two of us.
"Except for Billy, Me, and Kat, we were left for dead," Stu cuts in, motioning to the three of us as Billy points his knife at my sister. "And then he kills you and shoots himself in the head. Perfect ending".
My head shot up when Stu told Sidney that I would be 'left for dead.' Why was I part of their psychotic plan? "I thought of that," Stu told me, proud of himself.
Glancing down, I notice my dad watching my sister and me. He looked devastated and probably realized that there was nothing he could do to help us against Billy and Stu.
Feeling my twin shudder next to me, I turned my head to see her trying not to cry. She had just found out that her boyfriend had killed our mom and that he was only really dating her to get his revenge.

Suddenly both boys become silent as Billy glances over to us as I slowly try and shuffle towards my dad. "Watch this," catching Sidney's eye, I motion to dad, and she nods once, getting my plan.
"You ready?" Billy questions Stu, who nods, placing his arms behind his head, his expression now insane
"Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, baby, Right, get it up, yeah, baby, get it up, hit it."
For a second, before jabbing the knife into his abdomen, Billy watches Stu, making me scream out, "Stop!"
Stu hunches over, holding his wound in agony. "Good one, man! Jesus!".
Billy turns to me, frowning when he sees how close I am to my dad, "Ready, Kat?" My eyes widen, realizing what they meant by left for dead. Grabbing me away from where I was stood, Billy quickly pushed me up against the counter.
I shook my head, tears rolling slowly down my face as Stu turned around to face the opposite direction. "Billy, no, please," I begged as he advanced on me.
Grabbing the back of my head, he pulled my tear stricken face into the crook of his neck, kissing my head as I sobbed, hoping he had changed his mind. "Don't worry, it'll only hurt for a second" I gasped and tried to move, but I wasn't quick enough.
Billy quickly plunged the knife into my abdomen before I could run, screaming out. I felt him rip the blade back out as I fell into his waiting arms. "I'm sorry, baby girl, but it has to look believable," he whispered to me. His eyes held tears just like my own.
Frowning, I tried to understand before he pushed me back up, stabbing me on the other side. "Billy! Stop!" My sister screamed out before Stu grabbed her and pushed her away, but he was silent as he did it. His insane grin was missing.
Crying to myself, I felt Billy slash my arms in various places before letting me stagger back, sinking to the floor. None of the wounds were directly lethal, but I would probably bleed out if I didn't get help.
I coughed, feeling like I had been punched as I pressed on my wound, trying to keep the blood from seeping out. "KAT!" Sidney screamed, dropping next to me, trying to comfort me.

"My turn!" Stu called out, his white sweater now turning a pink/red color from the blood. Billy handed Stu the knife.
"Don't forget, stay to the side and don't go too deep," he recounted to Stu, patting him on the face.
"Okay, I'll remember," Stu smiled deviously, plunging the knife into our friend's side.
"Ahh! Fuck! Fuck! God damn Stu!" Billy shouted, kicking the cabinets.
"Sorry, Billy, I guess I got a little too zealous, huh?" Billy clutched his side holding out his hand
"Give me the knife." The older boy demanded, looking deadly as Stu's face dropped.
Stu looked worried for a second "No."
Billy gazed at Stu, his expression darkening. "Give me the knife! NOW!"
Handing Billy the knife, Stu's expression changes, "You see, Sid, Everybody dies but us. Everybody dies but us. We get to carry on and plan the sequel. Cause let's face it, baby, cause these days you gotta have a sequel," Stu explained, manically spitting as he yells.
Billy takes the knife and slashes at Stu's arm. "You sick fucks have seen too many movies!" Sid screeched at them, holding me into her side as I began to feel lightheaded, my eyes met my dads again, and I blinked before giving him a weak smile.
Billy looks at her, hunched over, crazed. "Now Sid, don't blame the movies. The movies don't create psychos; movies make psychos more creative" Billy jumps forward, grabbing Stu's arm making another slash in his bicep.
Stu started to sway, blood coming from his mouth. "Oh, stop it, Billy, would you? Alright? I can't take it anymore. I'm feeling a little woozy here!"
Billy sighed, annoyed, placing the knife under Stu's face. "Alright, Alright, get the gun, and I'll untie pops. Okay?".
"Now!" Billy yelled again, this time causing Stu to jump as they glare at each other
"Okay," Stu mutters as he turns away. Sidney props me up against the cabinets apologizing as I let out pained groans.
Billy pulls her up away from me by her hair and pushes her roughly against the counter, pointing his knife at her, as his eyes wander down to mine for a second as if he was checking up on me.
Stu hobbles away from us, groaning to himself as he reaches the counter. "Um uh," he begins to knock and bang on the tabletop before turning back to Billy, "Houston, we have a problem here."
Billy lets out a frustrated hiss and "What?"
Stu was holding his stomach as he pointed to the counter. "The gun, man, the gun, I put it right here, and it's not here" Stu began to laugh hysterically as Billy limped over behind him.
"Where the fuck is it?" Billy swears, pushing Stu out of his way to find the missing gun. Hearing the gun click, we all look over to the door.
"Right here, asshole." there stood a worse for wear looking Gale Weathers.
We all gaze at her, shocked, "Man, I thought she was dead!" Billy question Stu who looked at Gale in surprise
"She looked dead, man! She still does!".
If this weren't a life or death situation, I probably would have laughed at that.
"I've got an ending for you. The reporter left for dead in the news van comes to. Stumbles on to you two dipshits. Finds the gun, foils your plan, and saves the day," Gale reports as the gun shook in her hand.
Sidney walks forward with a small smile. "I like that ending" I just groaned and gave a thumbs up, feeling a little dizzy from the stab wounds.
"I know something you don't" Billy steps forward towards Gale, looking like a predator on the hunt, the older woman tries to shoot him, but nothing happens.
Knocking the gun away from his face, Billy kicks her out of the front door, making her hit her head on the porch column and falling unconscious onto the ground in a heaped pile next to Dewey.

Dungeon Core? Nah, I Think I'll Just Get Super-Wealthy Instead
The cycle is simple enough. A Dungeon Core is born from a wayward soul. It seeks power and agency, and works to accumulate wealth to fuel its power, in turn using this power to accumulate further wealth. Inevitably, the mind is lost as desperation and ambition drive it to commit darker and darker acts. Shortly thereafter, the adventurers arrive to quell the core. This is a tale that has repeated itself countless times throughout history: all cores desire power. And yet, this core seems to have it backwards. It doesn't want to rule the world. It has no desire to enslave or conquer. No, this core doesn't want to be a warlord, a villain, or a tyrant. It wants to start a core-poration. After all, when money is power, what greater weapon is there than capitalism? Join a dungeon core that wastes an absurd amount of time and effort trying not to be evil on his journey to earn fat stacks against all odds. -This is a 'Dungeon Core' type fiction with LitRPG elements in it. The start may be fairly slow compared to the average. Expect roughly 2.5k per chapter. -I'm only a hobbyist writer. As such, there may be the occasional error and pacing may be poorly-handled. Constructive criticism is alway welcome. I'm just here to write stuff that makes my brain release the g o o d c h e m i c a l s. -I am trashy and I like monsterpeople so you can expect an awful lot of those as we get further in. Thank you for reading this far, and I hope you enjoy.
