Dewey and Gale walk along the road with the flashlight shining in front of them. "So, is Dewey your real name?" Gale inquired, breaking the silence that had fallen between them.

The Deputy laughed meekly, seemingly embarrassed by the question. "No. It's Dwight," he told the brunette next to him, who instantly turned to him with a grin.

"Dwight?" she giggled before sobering up at his red face. "I'm sorry" her apology fell short when another small laugh escaped her, but Dewey didn't seem offended by her mirth. In fact, he appeared endeared by it.

Dewey smiled at her; she had a beautiful laugh, "No, it's alright. It's just something I got stuck with a long time ago."

Gale gave Dewey a devious smile. "Well, I like it. It's sexy."

Dewey's eye widened in shock, "Sexy?".

Gale nodded shyly, feeling like a school girl again. "Mhmm" The younger man felt better, knowing that Gale liked something about him.

"It's just this town's way of not taking me seriously," he sighed, feeling down; even his kid sister thought he was a joke.

Gale laughed but not a pleasant gesture. It was a laugh full of spite. "What about Gale Weathers? It sounds like I'm a meteorologist or something," The journalist admitted knowing more that few people had used her name as a joke.

"People treat me like I'm the anti-Christ of television journalism. Hell, I know Kat and Sidney think I am" Gale shook her head as she spoke truthfully. All she ever wanted to do was her job, and if she had to look like some evil witch to get what she wants, she'd do it.

Dewey frowned and instantly tried to comfort the beautiful woman. "I don't think you're that bad. Sidney is still upset over her mother's death, and Kat has just been so full of anger ever since she was a kid".

Gale looked at Dewey; she was hanging on his every word. "Really? You just think that because you're just like me" The two smiled at each other coyly as they moved closer until two speeding cars come up from behind them.

"They are sure coming fast," Dewey comments, watching the speeding vehicles. "SLOW DOWN!" He calls out, but the cars still barrel towards them. "FREEZE!" He tries once again but soon realized the car wasn't going to stop. He turned to Gale in terror. "JUMP!".

Dewey grabs Gale when the car gets dangerously close to hitting them and forces them both down the bank. They roll down the hill until they stop at the end, with Dewey lying on Gale. "I'm sorry, are you okay?".

Gale nods breathlessly, watching the young Deputy above her. "Yeah." she sighs dreamily as her hands grip his back.

Dewey removes Gales headband, which had partially fallen, as Gale lifts her head up and kisses Dewey, who reciprocates before stopping. "I'm sorry I'm on duty," he told her regretfully.

Gale laughs as she looks over her shoulder before her laughter tapers off. "Is that what you're looking for?" she questions, seeing an abandoned car.

"My whole life," Dewey replied, still looking at Gale, who just sniggers.

Turning his head towards the bushes, Dewey jumps up in surprise. "Damn," he swears, looking in and around the abandoned car.

"What? What is it?" Gale asks him, worried as she shakily follows him towards the car.

"This is Neal Prescott's car," Dewey replied to her, not knowing if he should have

"Kat and Sidney's father?" she whispered in shock, her brain already working to figure out the facts and the juicy story coming her way.

Dewey nodded once as he glanced around, looking for any clues, "Yeah. Jesus, what's he doing here? We gotta get back," he told Gale, helping her back up the bank and walking quickly around to the Macher household.

:::

I groaned sleepily, feeling a bit disoriented hearing screams and shouts coming from somewhere, Stu and his fucking parties. I started to fall back asleep when I heard a familiar shriek.

Sidney!

Jumping out of bed, I quickly pulled open the door and running out, tripping over myself lightheaded "Sidney," I called out, turning to look around when another body runs into mine, and their arms and legs wrap around me, sending us to the floor.

"What the fuck?" I swear, looking down at the person who was clutching themselves into my body, "...Sid!" I threw my arms around my twin, who was racked with sobs as she held onto me tightly.

"The Killer...Billy..." my eyes widened when I realized what she was trying to say, "Billy's dead?" I gasped as tears sprang to my eyes when Sidney let out another sob, another one of my best friends was gone.

Grabbing my sister's hand, I pulled her into the attic and shutting the door behind us, wedging Stu's old surfboard across it as Sidney runs to the window. "Help! HELP!" gently pushing my sister out of the way, I looked down to see a news van... Gale's news van.

Hearing a bang on the attic door, I gasped and turned to see it open before getting stuck against the surfboard. Sidney backed into me, panicking when the killer looked around the door.

I knew this place like the back of my hand, but being this closer to the killer with no apparent way out, I blanked, "Kat!" Sidney shouted as she motioning to the window. Running over to it, we both forced it open.

Helping my sister out first, I climbed out carefully, lunging to catch her when she slipped "help me," my twin begged.

I took her hand in mine and pulled her back up with a groan. "I've got you," I promised, seeing the tears in her eyes.

I held onto the window frame as I looked around for an escape route, but I couldn't see a safe way down. "Damn it," I mumble to myself as Sidney looks up at me, her face suddenly turning white.

"what?" I question before feeling a hand grab my arm. I let out a scream when I came face to face with the killer once again as he grabs my arm, trying to pull me back into the attic. "No!" I yelled, fighting against him.

Sidney shrieks and pulls my other arm harder, but the killer wouldn't budge. Sidney and I struggle with the killer in a dangerous game of tug-of-war, "Get off me!" I shouted, using my foot to push off the window.

Before I could grab onto anything, we were both falling off the roof, "Kat!" Sidney screamed as if I could do something to save us, groaning. We landed hard onto a tarp-covered boat in Stu's driveway.

Breathing heavily, I peered up at the roof, but the killer was gone. No wonder they call him the Ghost killer, here one minute and gone the next, but for us, that meant he could be coming down to finish us off.

Rolling off the boat, I groaned when my body hit the concrete ground, only crying out again when Sidney fell on to me not long after. "Jesus, Sid," I hissed as we both helped each other up.

Sidney quickly glances up to see the killer isn't at the window "he's gone," I explained before hearing her breathing hitch, making me tense, thinking the killer was back until I stood up and saw what had Sidney terrified.

My world shifted, and I felt like I was drowning when everything started to click into place for me. "Oh my god," my sister chanted as we both stood numb at the sight of Tatum hanging from the garage door, dead.

Covering her mouth, Sidney starts to cry hysterically. "Sid, go to the van," I ordered as my twin cries out, clinging to my arm.

"Not without you" I shake my head, knowing I had to let her go so I could fix this

"Just go, Sidney!" I shouted; she glanced at me, hurt, before running to the van.

Walking up to the blonde, I took her cold hand. "I'm so sorry," I whispered as her body hung still, her face no longer moving, forever stuck at seventeen years old.

Not worrying about the killer anymore, I tried to find something to help get Tatum down, but there was nothing around. Walking over to the garage switches, I began pressing them only to wince when one shorts out and shocks me.

Moving back towards Tatum, I look up at her sadly before taking a deep breath and grabbing her cold legs, tugging her down with all my strength. Feeling her body get heavier in my hands, I knew she was almost out.

Giving on last big pull, I jump out of the away as her body hits the ground with a sickening sound, feeling bile rise in my throat, I tried to push it back down as I find a discarded tarp in the corner of the garage.

Placing it gently over her body, I sat by her side silently until I heard drunken shouting coming from the house again. "NO JAMIE WATCH OUT! Watch out Jamie, you know he's around. You, you know. Look, there he is, I told you. He's right around the corner".

Saying my final goodbye's and apologies, I finally covered Tatum's head.

Dewey would have to see her at some point, and I couldn't let him see her hanging like she was nothing, just something that could be easily discarded.

We may not have been friends or even liked each other most of the time, but I couldn't leave her up there for the world to see. She deserved to rest peacefully. I couldn't even begin to imagine how painful or scary her death may have been for her.

"J- J- Jamie look behind you; Jamie look behind you! Look behind you! Turn around, behind you! Behind you, Jamie, Jamie turn around" My head shot up once again, hearing the screaming, it was Randy.
