Raquel and I shook hands as we were challenging each other who would have the better punch. She punched first and it was a good one, then I punched her mouth, and then, just as it was coming close, Raquel punched my mouth, and just like that, my lip was busted open.

I could feel the blood coming down from my bottom lip, and to be honest, it felt good. I've been wanting a fight since my fiancé had died and now I'm getting one.

At her last punch after mine, I pulled out a staple gun and stapled her head!

Everyone didn't expect that because this is a Deathmatch, not your regular No DQ match! Raquel was grunting in pain as she didn't expect this. I then took her off her feet and stapled her crotch after I seductively crawled to her.

I got off of her and moved her to a corner and I splashed her. I ran to the ropes and forearmed her before I threw Raquel out of the corner and looked for a dropkick, but she swatted it away like a fly!

I felt pain in my ribs and I think she bruised them, but I didn't care. I wanted to give a match everyone would remember for years to come.

Like Carlo once said, "Everything hurts".

She picked me up and was going to chop me, but I ducked and chopped her instead. I ran to the ropes and gave her a dropkick, which knocked her down, but not out cold.

I covered her and she kicked out at 2.

While she was down, I decided to go out of the ring and grab some toys. I pulled out a table, a chair, an all black sledgehammer, a barbed wire chair, and a black bag filled with something that's very deadly and I'm not talking about thumbtacks, caltrops, and broken glass. I'm talking about that's worse than that.

I set up the barbed wire chair in the corner and was beating Raquel's with a regular chair and she was screaming in pain, but I can tell by her eyes, she was enjoying this!

While I was taking a breather, which was a mistake on my part, she dropkicked me into the barbed wire chair in the corner back first!

It felt so bad that I literally started bleeding on my lower back. I didn't scream, I just stayed calm and moved carefully to remove the barbed wire barbs from my back. It was incredibly painful to recover from that as Raquel knew she needed to go easy on me because this is my first Deathmatch.

When Gonzalez was coming towards me, I ran and splashed her again and taking down punches on her. I was thrown off and she was in the vicinity of being in the direction of the barbed wire chair. I dropkicked her and then she went back first onto the chair!

While preoccupied with that, I went under the ring again and grabbed 8 cinder blocks and set them up before bringing out a couple light tubes.

I threw them in the ring and slid under the bottom rope. I set up the blocks and took the black bag, unzipped it, and out came onto the cinderblocks...

Tons and tons of truss plates were out and I set them all up on the blocks before bringing out the board we never got to use: Carlo's "Razor Blade Romance".

I put it in the ring and I guess I took too long because she was out of the chair and she dropkicked me, hitting the back of my head onto the floor! I think I have a slight concussion, but I'm sure I'll be fine.

Gonzalez went out of the ring and set me up near the announce table, taking a light tube, and smashing it on my head!

Just before it could get any worse, she took the broken part of the light tube, stuck it into my fucking head and moving it around a bit before breaking it on my head!

It was so painful that I felt blood going down my face! I think she left a piece of that glass from the tube in my head! Then, the crowd chanted what I wanted to say at Raquel...

YOU SICK BITCH!

It made me laugh a bit, but I soon fought back by taking another light tube, smashing it on her head and giving her a cut from the broken piece of the tube as well.

Payback's a bitch and so am I!

That made everyone cheer as I slammed another light tube on her head, but no broken piece in her head this time. As I was planning another spot, I saw that blood was pouring down her face.

I threw her back into the ring and covered her, but she kicked out at 2. I wasn't surprised, but it made me feel excited to beat her up.

Then, I couldn't believe what Raquel said to me.

Go off on me.

Are you sure?

I'm sure, chica.

I then did as I kept punching Raquel's face and I picked her up and I decided to do the "Eye Of The Storm" Forearm, Carlo's finisher. She countered by doing a sleeper hold on me, which didn't work because I countered with a rollup, but she kicked out of that at 2.

I moved over to where the cinderblocks are, and when she ran, I gave her a belly to belly overhead Suplex onto the truss plates on the blocks!

Dakota was in shock at the damage I was doing on her friend as Steffanie was surprised at what we were doing!

THIS IS AWESOME! *CLAP CLAP CLAP CLAP CLAP* THIS IS AWESOME! *CLAP CLAP CLAP CLAP CLAP*

I rolled her off the blocks and plates before covering her...

ONE! TWO! THR—

GONZALEZ KICKED OUT AT 2.9! What the fuck!

I couldn't believe that after I sent her into the plates, she still powered out at the last millisecond! Gonzalez isn't a normal person!

Dakota couldn't stand it anymore and actually went inside to grab a chair and beat me with it!

You think you'll win! You won't!

Steffanie took a kendo stick and started whacking Kai with it, almost to the point it broke! This is probably the best match I've had in my life as it was time to end it.

I went to the top rope and was about to perform my Moonsault Stomp, but she countered, and hit my chest with a light tube!

It hurt me so much that she gave me a choke Powerbomb onto the TRUSS PLATES, ON THE FUCKING CINDERBLOCKS!

She covered me...

ONE! TWO! THR—

But I kicked out, and Raquel was pissed that I was able to get my shoulder up in time!

She then decided to pick me up for her finisher again, but this time she wanted me to take advantage of this situation.

While she held me in the air, she secretly talked to me while "showing off her strength".

Ripcord Forearm.

What?

Do Carlo's old finisher two times, one I land back first on nothing, the second on the "Razor Blade Romance" board.

That's when I countered and did Carlo's finisher, but nothing for her to land on but the mat. I covered her but she kicked out at 2 1/2!

That was the signal for me to do the move again, but this time make her land back first onto the truss plates on the blocks.

I tried, but she picked me up and sent ME onto the plates!

They were stuck in my back and they were much worse that barbed wire and thumbtacks! She covered me, but this time I kicked out at 2.9999999, right before the ref counted three!

Raquel looked shocked at the kick out I just pulled as I rolled off the blocks and kept trying to get up. I was able to, but before I could put her away, Indi and Candice were coming down the ramp to cost me the match.

Raquel tried to fight them off, but she couldn't because they were already stronger than her, but before I could defend her, Mayu and Kaori came out and started beating their asses with chairs!

It gave me an opening to set up the "Razor Blade Romance" board in the middle of the ring and try to put Raquel away. I grabbed her arm and performed Carlo's finisher, "The Eye Of The Storm" Forearm and she fell on the razor blades.

Oh! Ha ha ha ha oh...

Beth Phoenix, the female commentator, sniffed and muted her microphone to let the emotions out and I don't blame her.

Before the ref hit the three count, I felt Raquel giving me a little scratch on my backside, letting me know that Carlo is looking down, smiling at what he sees. I quickly teared up...

ONE! TWO! THREE!

...and I immediately got off of Raquel, held my hands together on my head while laying it down on the mat, and I just sobbed as loud as I could.

I won the NXT Women's Championship for Carlo. I let every tear I had saved up throughout the match just for this moment.

Here is your winner, and NEW NXT Women's Champion, HITOKIRI!

I felt Kaori and Mayu come into the ring and hug me very tightly as I just kept crying away and the title was in my hands.

Kaori, there's something under the ring you need to grab.

What is it?

Go get it.

She went out of the ring and grabbed what I wanted her to get. It was something I worked on and I thought this would be very good to show.

She handed me it I raised it up and it said...

"Goodbye for now my love, see you down the road". What an emotional night for that young lady.

What an emotional night for everyone.

I don't like that Hitokiri beat Raquel Gonzalez for the title, but I respect it.

~5 Minutes Later~

After some time cleaning up from the match I had with Gonzalez, who gave me a hug right after we went through the curtain and congratulating me and apologizing for Carlo's passing.

I appreciated that as Hunter was in the ring with a microphone and Joe, his son, and I had his boots, a bandanna Carlo would sometimes wear, and one of his infamous biker mask. I was holding his boots as Joe was holding the mask and Hunter out there was holding the title.

Thank you all for coming out tonight. All of us are here to celebrate the life a young man who was so talented. And that young man was Carlo De Luca!

The crowd cheered and I thought I saw some crying from the fans, which I'm fine with.

He was a beautiful human being, who went through a lot of crap in his career, but he pushed through to prove that it wasn't about your past, it was about how you can turn that into a good thing! No please join me, in welcoming his grandfather, Joe Pesci, his father, Paul Pesci, and his fiancée, the new NXT Women's Champion, Masami Odate, or better known by her new ring name, Hitokiri.

When Joe, Paul, and I went out to the ring to perform the final act of tribute for Carlo, I lost control of my emotions. I was holding the boots he wore a week ago before he shockingly passed away as Joe had the mask he would wear to the ring and Paul had a bandana Carlo would sometimes wear on his way to the ring.

Joe opened the ropes for me as I stepped inside and gave the boots to Hunter as he put them in the middle of the ring, along with the mask and bandana. I was choking up at what I was seeing and I was about to break again before Hunter wrapped his arm around me, comforting me, which was something I'll never be grateful enough for.

He sent me next to Paul as he was about to speak again.

As of this moment, we are retiring this belt from NXT in the honor of Carlo De Luca. This is the exact belt he won from Beast In The East and we thought it would be very appropriate to retire this instead of putting it up for grabs in a tournament or some kind of ladder match.

I was shocked at this gesture and I was sobbing as silently as I could.

Mr. Pesci. Your grandson was one of the best NXT Champions we've ever had. Much love to you, and much love to your family. This belt is retired and we present to you, the NXT Champion for life.

The crowd cheered as Hunter gave the title to Carlo's grandfather and he was in tears before Hunter said...

Before the show is over, let us celebrate the life of Carlo by watching a video package the WWE has put together for tonight.

Once the video was playing, this song was playing as well.

I thought this was the most appropriate song for this video since Carlo's been through a lot of shit and he would hurt himself to make sure he was stay alive.

In one clip from his days in CZW, he had his cheek pierced by a syringe needle! That hurt really much and I don't know who came up with the idea to put that in, but they knew the line "The needle tears a hole" line would go well with that clip.

The video mostly had pictures and clips of Carlo being an absolute love to his mentors, Kaori, Mayu, Santana, Ortiz, Jon, and myself. I was tearing up at the pictures they chose for this and I couldn't take it.

Then, they started to show Carlo and I's relationship and how it developed and turned into a relationship that made me say yes to his proposal.

Speaking of which, it showed at the chorus, which was sang again by Johnny C, the clip from Beast In The East, where, a day before my birthday, he asked me to marry him a few days before his passing.

I didn't want to watch because it was the greatest moment of my life and if I saw it, it would make me cry since he's not here anymore.

Then, at the end of the video/song, I couldn't believe what was happening. There was a home made video of Carlo on the screen and I was shocked in tears.

How you doing? This is "Eye Of The Storm". All you fans have supported me for many years and I thank you. And kid, wherever you are, this is me and not my character: I'm sorry for flipping you off. I wanted to sell that I became a bad guy before my torn ACL. I hope you understand. And Masami, this is for you. Until we meet again, I'll always love you all my heart and soul, il mio amore.

He winked with a smile and I was on the verge of crying again.

Once the video ended, along with the song and it showed the sentences "Carlo De Luca: 1984 - 2021", I sobbed as loud as I could as Joe hugged me as tight as he could.

I couldn't believe that he was able to record that before he passed. I'll never forget him because one day, we'll be together again, and we'll have the monikers of "Evils of The Sky".
