We were at Full Sail and we were about to go into the ring and pull a promo, but before we went out there, the pain in my head was starting to get worse.

I felt dizziness, I felt nauseous, I thought I was staring to go insane.

When we walked down the ramp, my right leg started to give out. I was limping and when Masami, Kaori, and Mayu saw this, they had eyes that were filled with concern. I reassured them I was fine and when they got in the ring, I slid under and was able to stand up, but my right leg was like jelly. I couldn't move it properly.

The pain in my head started to come back and I felt pale. I decided to try and ignore it while pulling this promo. I also wanted to stand still instead of moving like I usually do because if I did, my leg will break so I didn't want to move as much.

Well, this is what it's like to be champion again here in NXT!

They cheered as I wanted to ignore the pain in my head and the jelly shit in my leg. I gestured Masami to get me a chair and she did so I could sit down and rest my leg.

Don't mind me sitting down, I just needed to sit, that's all. Anyway, these two ladies have done their job and that's kick all the ass! Ayane, she's back and you're mad aren't you!

The crowd said "no" and actually cheered, which I didn't expect.

You all missed her and I don't blame you! There's only one more person to go and that's Raquel Gonzalez. I want Ayane to do the job. Since she's been gone, I thought it would be really appropriate for her to go after her while Kallisto and Yurei have the tag titles! So Raquel, you better be, get the camera close to me! I want her to see this face on the screen backstage!

That let everyone know that this ingenious because many wrestlers don't acknowledge the camera that much, so this is also letting them know that I'm serious like a late period (Konnan TM).

The cameraman focused on me now as I kept going, but something bad would happen.

Raquel, you said you're a fighting champion. If you claim to be a fighting Champion, why are you always hiding behind your bitch of a lackey Dakota Kai?

That got everyone cheering and they knew what a line that was! I was stunned at by the realism he's bringing to this promo! I like it!

In order to make it work, Ayane is going to go through Kai, and, Raquel, she's going to beat you and take that title because right here, you're looking at a great white shark, thirsty for your blood! And the blood meaning the NXT Women's Championship!

Then, I saw something off about my fiancé. I don't know what it is, but I know that once we get backstage, we're going to the hospital.

Dakota, I hope you're watching this because—

He stopped and just when it couldn't get any worse, he fell forward as the crowd gasped and was concerned!

We had to shake him to see if he was okay, but it didn't because the paramedics were coming out with Hunter and they got him onto the stretcher and rolled him out as I was following him to the ambulance. Hunter looked at me and said...

I went into the ambulance with Carlo and the paramedics and went straight to the ER.

I was so concerned and worried that my eyes were tearing up and I was holding his hand as I was praying that God would help him.

When we arrived, I was so distraught and I had to keep praying because this was my only option right now.

~1 1/2 Hours Later~

The doctor came back out with a face that wasn't going to be sharing good news.

Masami?

Yes?

I'm so sorry.

What? How is he?

Miss Odate, Carlo...

He was gathering up the courage to tell me what I hope it isn't what I think it is.

Your fiancé, he died, Masami.

What the doctor just said broke me.

What? No. He shouldn't be dead!

The chair shots he's taken to his head over the years, they've caused internal bleeding to his brain. We couldn't stop it in time. I'm sorry Masami. I'll take you to him.

He took me in, and I saw my fiancé, motionless, with a flatline on the EKG machine. I lunged and just cried away, nonstop crying and sobbing.

It was about at least 5 minutes before I ran out of tears to cry.

I couldn't believe it, Carlo De Luca Pesci, the man I loved, the NXT Champion, "The Eye Of The Storm", and my fiancé, is dead.

I called Hunter and I had to tell him what happened.

Hello?

Hunter?

Masami! Are you okay, what's wrong?!

Carlo, he's dead.

I heard him gasp and before I could say another word, he spoke to me.

Masami, I'm so so sorry. You take the rest of the night off. I'll tell Taylor to share the announcement.

I hung up and I had to watch NXT to see the people's reaction, especially my friends because they deserve to know as well.

Ladies and gentlemen, before the show could go on, I'm truly sorry to say that I just received word from Triple H that the NXT Champion, Carlo De Luca has passed away.

The crowd was shook as Kaori and Mayu were in the ring during their tag team match with Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez, and they started tearing up before Kaori got rolled up, but she kicked out!

Mayu grabbed Dakota and threw her to the barricade and gouged Raquel's eyes. That made Kaori take advantage by climbing up to the top rope and connect with her elbow for the win.

Once they went out of the ring, they let their emotions out and hugged so tightly that they needed to cry.

The show went on as I had to go home after they put my fiancé's body in the morgue.

~9:00 AM~

In the morning on the way home, I thought about how I would want NXT to pay tribute to Carlo in the best way possible. I'm thinking an entire episode dedicated to him as different wrestlers who were close to him share stories of how he impacted their lives. That would be a good idea.

I called Hunter and went to the PC and I thought he wouldn't like the idea, except he did.

You want an entire episode of NXT to be a tribute to Carlo?

I just feel like it's the right thing to do, Hunter. If we don't pay tribute then what's the point?

I looked back and saw Raquel Gonzalez walking towards me with sympathy.

I want to apologize for your loss. It must be hard not having the love of your life here anymore.

Mayu and Kaori saw what was happening and stood beside me in case things went south.

Don't think I want to fight all three of you. I'm only looking to put my title on the line for Masami. She's the one who lost her fiancé and this would be the most appropriate.

Listen, I'm sorry but I think Masami needs this more than you. It's not that you're short and I'm not making fun of you because of that, it's just that she's suffering the death of a loved one and I think her winning the title from me next week would suit her better.

I didn't know what to say or do because Kaori was supposed to go after Raquel, not me.

It's fine. Masami's the one dealing with this loss and it's fine that she wins this title from you.

I shook her hand as Raquel walked away. I had to talk to Kaori about why she would make me go after Raquel instead of her.

You're the one who was the closest to Carlo, you deserve it more than me. I truly believe that Carlo would want you to go for the title. Don't take this match for granted because this is me being gracious.

That truly stung me in the heart as I just hugged Kaori for a while until I left for home.

I just need some time to take this all in while planning the show.
