I hop out of the van, the dog eagerly jumping up to greet me. I turn my head, seeing the huge airport. It was very big, a couple of airplanes could be seen... maybe... just maybe.. we could use those airplanes.

Gerick was smiling, he removed a pair of binoculars from his backpack, staring at the building. "I don't see any sign of life.. we should take camp in of the airplanes... sounds pretty creative." Gerick says.

"Take shelter in a airplane?" I ask.

"Yea. I mean it's safe. No telling how many ghouls are inside." Gerick says. He turns around, "Where's Niommi?" He asks.

Niommi was already walking towards one of the airplanes. We run to catch up with her, killing the walkers that had filled the area.

The first airplane was open, we quickly entered, searched to check if there were any walkers, and then we began to make it as campy as we could.

I sat in one of the airplane seats. I had never been in a airplane before... not in a normal situation like Heading to a new place. I relaxed, hearing Gerick talking to Niommi.

"I'd do anything for you to just... accept my apology... I promise... I'll never split paths with you again.. I... I'm sorry..."

There's silence and I'm actually hoping Niommi will accept his apology. I sigh and lean back in the seat. I close my eyes.

Hunter was alive, I couldn't wait to see him. I remembered the last day I had seen him. I smile and then I open my eyes to notice the luggage beside my leg.

I crouch down and open the bag. A pair of jeans, and a striped shirt and coat. I grab the clothes and I pause when I see a picture. It was a baby, and baby with a sunflower in her hair, and then a gift box.

The gift box was striped with green and blue and it had a name tag. Laura Anne. That wasn't me.. but it was my name. What a coincidence. I open the box, finding a camera.

I lift the camera out, examining it. I jump when I hear a voice.

"Do you know how to use it?" Gerick asks.

"Yea.. who doesn't know how to use a camera?" I ask, pressing the power button.

Gerick sits down. "Niommi went to look for food, she took my dog with her too, I figured I would get to know you." He says.

"What's your group like?" He asks. "A couple of people I went to school with," I say. "Have you always been alone with your dog?" I ask. He shakes his head.

"I met Niommi when I was on a supply run. She tried to kill me, and I was trying to also, I gave up with a realized I didn't want to be a cold killer. She almost killed me, but I promised I wasn't there to do harm." Gerick yawns.

"We vowed to go on separate paths and that we would not come across each other again.. then I found her again, and I saw her brother. He was sick, I went out of my way to get medicine and I healed her cuts, long story.. she was in a car accident when things went south." Gerick explains.

"We became friends.. and I love her.. I can't help feeling that she hates me.." Gerick says with a pained expression.

"She doesn't hate you," I say. Gerick sighs, and rubs a hand through his black hair. "She's a survivor." Is all he says and then he stands and walks away.

I stand and walk to the bathroom in the airplane. I open the bathroom door to the women's bathroom. It was a small single bathroom. I began to change into the clothes I had found, and I tried to sink but it didn't work.

After changing my clothes, I turned on the camera. Surprisingly no one had filmed anything. I begin to record, choosing my words easily.

"Hey, you. Yes, you. The one here. If you're watching... You survived.."

"My name is Lara. Lara Crissinfold."

"A year ago, my whole life changed."

"Dead people roamed the earth, I watched most of the people I loved, have their guts eaten like a buffet plate."

I pause, and I put on a smile when I remember being with my friends... Bella, Lucy, Ricko, Hunter, Jone, Miranda, Olivia... They were there from the beginning.

"I had a little fun. Like they say, enjoy the little things, if there were any little things left. I tried too, but every time I did, those stupid idiots came out of the middle of nowhere.. aka walkers, ghouls, whatever you might call them..."

"It all started my high school... And where it ends... You'll figure out... I guess I'll figure out. I don't know if anyone else is alive that is watching this... But if they are..."

"Keep moving. Trust me. Other people, might just drag you down... I learned the hard way sometimes."

"I'm not like everyone. I'm the type of person that will wait for you to tie your shoes while a herd is coming."
