《How I Survived (Zombie Story)》Chapter Fourteen- Stranger

I followed Kylia back to where she was last time, and there was a tall guy standing there. He was wearing a mask. I quickly aimed my gun at him. Kylia raised a "wait" hand to me.
He was wearing a gas mask. His leg was bandaged and he was holding a small pouch. I couldn't see his face, but I could see his silver dyed hair hanging from the sides of his dirty covered jacket. He wasn't old, I could tell he must've dyed his hair. He was at least 2 heads taller than me, he was holding a machete similar to Lucy's.
I carefully put my gun back into my belt loop. "Who are you?" I asked.
"I can help your friend." He says, yep, he was my age, his voice dripped sarcasm. I stiffened. "Who. Are. You?" I ask again.
"The name is Carles. Now tell me where she was bitten." He says, jumping straight to the point.
"Arm. And how did you know she was bitten?" I question, raising an eyebrow.
"I was watching. And for your info. I stay here, and you people are taking over my home."
"This place is too big for one person," I say.
"You really think it's one person?" He asks and chuckles.
"You! You were in that van!" I accused, pointing a finger at him.
"Um no... Who is she talking about Kylia?" He asks, confusion causing his face to change.
"Someone has been trying to kill us." She tells Charles and his face softens.
He nods. He tugs off the gas mask, and his hoodie. He tilted his head, his grey eyes studying mine, his jaw locked, the fresh scar was across his eyebrow, and a brown streak was in his silver hair, he was pretty young looking so his silver hair indicated that he had dyed his hair.

"They don't reveal their faces." He informs.
"What the?! Then how do you know?!" I snap.
"Tell her to calm down." He says slowly, a grin spread across his face.
I walk slowly towards him. "Heal my friend. Then. We can talk." I say.
"Didn't request to talk to you. Just trying to help." He snaps, and hands Kylia the small pouch. "A cure?" I ask.
"No.. Just something that can help her. It isn't a confirmed cure. And that's the only one I have." He says. Maybe it could be used as a cure? I eye the pouch, and he nods towards the door, "Good luck." he tells me, and I roll my eyes at him.
He backs away and leaves through the other exit. He shuts it slowly.
"Who is he exactly?" I ask.
"He saved my life." Kylia mumbles.
"When the bus crashed. Zombies were chasing me. He saved me... He's nicer than the others." She says.
"Let's go save Bella," I say, too annoyed to think about how an intruder had gotten so close to Kylia in a matter of seconds. Kylia nods and we run back to Bella. Too late. Bella was lying on the floor, her eyes shut peacefully.
"No," I say softly.
"She... She might turn." Kyle says, adjusting her head on the rolled towel.
"We got medicine! Can't she take it?" I ask, "It'll back the sickness up!" I tell them.
"She isn't alive," Ricko says, brushing his hair back, and sighing.
"Is she breathing?" I ask, I snatch the bag from Kylia and sit beside Bella's motionless body.
I lift her head and take the two small pills from the bag. Bella's eyes open a little but close.

"She's still alive," I say.
"About to die." She whispers.
"Shoot me. So I.. Won't bite." She mumbles.
"Shush Bella," I say and hand her the pills. She swallows them down. She groans and swallows dryly. Sighing she rests her head on the floor.
"I hate movie theaters.." She chokes out and closes her eyes again. Okay... She was breathing. Okay okay. I sigh, relieved. Time to find that douche bag.
Jone stops me, "Lara, what was that? A cure?" He asks, looking at me with a stern glance. I shake my head, "I wish it was a cure... It'll just dull the sickness, maybe it will heal her." I tell him. Jone forces a nod and joins Bella and the others. Once everyone was around Bella and eating snacks from the Walmart food places, I went back to the back exit door. I was about to leave when Kylia stopped me.
"Hey." She says.
"He's not a bad guy. He left his mafia." She says.
"Mafia?" I question.
"Kinda." She says.
"Listen your brother would never approve of this. I need answers. Our group is in danger by that damn mafia." I say I lace the backpack over my shoulders.
"You're like Jone." She blurts, and I stop moving.
"Jone?" I ask, my brows raising.
"Yea. Is he the leader right? He said he was anyways. While you guys were out watching that movie he was here, but now he's gone." She says.
"Gone?" I ask. I had literally just spoken to him.
"Uh. Yea." She says.
"He went to check the other shops." She says bored. No wonder she said we weren't gonna be here long. The "mafia" would kill us all soon.
What was she up to? I wondered as I watched her bite her nails. I stepped out the exit while her back was to me. I held my gun close to me.
I step around the corner and notice the guy again. "Hey!" I shout.
He turns. Different mask. It was a tiger mask. That's not him. Surprised I throw myself back against the corner of the wall.
"Could've sworn I heard someone." The female voice says.
"Me too." A male voice says. Not Charles, someone else.
"We should head back to camp. It's getting dark." The girl's voice says.
"Yea."
I heard their footsteps and followed them. They walked into the parking lot. A hand wrapped around my mouth. I wiggled around and punched the person in their face, but they caught my hand. It was Jone.
"Who are they?!" He whispers.
"I don't know!" I say annoyed.
"Let's go back." He says.
"No," I say when I notice Charles. He went to the two people and then left the parking lot and into the street. He's a liar, I tell myself. He is with them! Jone doesn't say anything as Charles looks over here. He noticed us but quickly looked away as if he looked at an accident. "They see us, Lara let's go!" Jone says. We both turn and make a run back to the Walmart exit door. We bust in, Jone shuts the door.
"We can't stay here." He says, his eyes scanning the floor.
"I already knew this." I tell him, "let's go get everyone."
