《How I Survived (Zombie Story)》Chapter Eleven- Walmart

It was a long ride, my eyes stayed shut as I listened to the chatter of my friends... More like my new family. They had grown around me. "Here you go." Kyle wakes me.
He hands me a mirror. "Thought you wanted to see." He mumbles lightly. I nod and take it. My light skin was covered in dirt and my brown smooth and once soft hair was pulled back into a ponytail. My brown eyes were big and surprised. My face was clean. I wondered how long it would last.
"We're here." Ricko's rough voice sighs.
"Finally," I mumble lightly, Kyle helps me up. "I wanna walk.." I tell him. "Ok." He says.
He helps me move to the door, everyone piling out. The mall was huge... And destroyed. The windows were broken, there were dead bodies, but creepy... What was creepy was that there were no walkers in the humongous parking lot.
I stepped on my heel and pain struck me. I held onto Kyle and forces my weight onto my foot.
Cooperate. I told me myself.
I made another step, and Kyle was helping me.
"Let's go." Ricko sighs, Kylia by his side.
We all walk into the Walmart, slowly, with Hunter, Jone, and Ricko make sure it was safe first.
Miranda hooked arms with my left arm and Kyle and Miranda were both helping me. It wasn't that bad. My leg was just penetrated with metal... But hey! I'm alive.
They sat me down at one of the registers. The Walmart was big, I didn't even complain about my fear of big places.
"I and Ricko are gonna search," Jone tells Lucy. Lucy nods and starts to raid the shelf beside us.
A soft grin comes on Kylia's face as she sits cross-legged between the aisles her eyes scanning the candies she had in front of her.

Hunter sat beside me and started drinking soda he had got from little grab and buy fridge.
I leaned against the shelf behind me and sighed. Ricko and Jone arrive back again. "Safe! We had to kill a couple of zombies." Rick explains.
"Sounds great!" Bella says and stands.
"What about the other parts of the mall?" Lucy asks.
"I and Ricko and Hunter will be securing this place first." He explains.
"Oh!" Bella says.
"Can I get me some clothes?!" Bella asks.
"I don't care. It's not our store it's our home." Jone says.
"Home?" I ask.
"It could be home."
"What about the safe home?" I ask.
"We would never be able to make it across the state Lara." He says slowly.
"I have a family I need to find!" I say.
"Keep calm Lara," Miranda says.
"Do you know what it's like to know that your family is out there?" I ask.
He's silent. "I say we leave after a month or so," Kylia says from her quiet spot.
"Kylia.," Kyle says.
"Sorry." She mumbles.
"She's right," I say.
"A month it is" Jone mumbles.
•••••••••
I was laying on a mattress with soft fluffy blankets that Bella has found. Since Walmart has everything.
They had a small fire going on near me. In a camping kit fire bowl. I layer my head into the pillow, hearing the sounds of nails and hammers. Kyle was working on the broken window, he already had a big brown wood piece securely covering it.
I smile and close my eyes. I felt toasty and warm... "Good night world." I sigh.
Could this be home? No... Jone doesn't know... Hey, what does Jone know anyways? I'm gonna find my family.

The Ascendant: Endless Reincarnation
My name is Richard Brooks. I died while saving a kid. Kicking the bucket at 28 was really depressing, you know? There’s so much I still wanted to do. But instead of passing on, I was thrust into an endless series of reincarnations. Whenever I die, I earn Karma points based on my achievements and growth. These points can be exchanged for weapons, spells, or other bonuses to make my next lives more interesting. “What kills me only makes me stronger!” Or something like that. Honestly, it feels like I’m stuck in an RPG. The difficulty setting can be pretty ridiculous too. Sometimes all I can do is grit my teeth in frustration as I die an ignoble death. But I won’t complain. Even when it’s dangerous and painful, I love life. This is all an opportunity; I’ll do my best, no matter what kind of sadistic fate the System throws at me. I will swing the warhammer of justice! Craft and enhance the most amazing artifacts! Overwhelm opponents with a barrage of auto-casting spells! Lead powerful vassals in Domain wars! All for the sake of creating an eternal sanctuary. With my unique power of Runecrafting, maybe I’ll even become strong enough one day to overturn fate… or at least find out what the hell is really going on. It might take a few hundred or a thousand lifetimes, but what’s the rush? I have all the time in the world now. (Note: R15+ This is the work of a very inexperienced author with a full time job. Please expect an erratic release schedule.)
