《How I Survived (Zombie Story)》Chapter Ten

I started to stand but collapsed. Kyle caught on to me quickly.
"Who knows where the mall is?" Kyle asks, lifting me up, he wraps what's left of his leather jacket around my shivering body. Hunter looked over at me, as Kyle held me bridal style again. I leaned against him and closed my eyes, a piercing headache coming along. My eyes open slowly again.
"I do," Kylia says.
Kyle looks at her.
"Remember Kyle. I had a part-time job." She reminds him. "Oh.." He mumbles. "But I don't know how to drive." She mumbles.
"I'll drive and you tell me how to get there," Ricko says.
"Uh. Guys.." Bella says, and points to the white van, and the herd of zombies behind it. The van was coming on slow, and the zombies seemed to be ignoring the van and focused on us.
"We should go now.." Bella continues.
"I agree..." Lucy says and we all run, except me of course. I was holding on to Kyle, who was running. I heard the truck door open and felt Kyle hoist into it. The car jerked and I could tell Hunter was driving fast.
Kyle places me in the seat sitting me up. He sits beside me.
"You all good?" He asks patiently.
"Uh huh.." I mumble as the van was hijacked drove quickly.
"We're losing em!" Ricko calls.
"Keep driving idiot!" Lucy yells from the back.
"I am!" He yells.
"Ricko look out! Cars up ahead!" Kyle calls from beside me.
"I can't concentrate... Guys! What're those things behind us?" Kylia asks.
I look at the dark road trip van in confusion. "Motorcycles!" Kyle yells.
"Drive faster!" Lucy says.
"I think they are gonna kill us." Bella deadpans.

"Shut up!" Miranda screams from the back.
I looked out the window, still scared. I saw a motorcycle caught up the window, it raised a gun hand and shot the window. I shrieked, and Ricko steered the car left, running over the motorcycle driver that shot the window.
"Good job!" I grumble aloud.
I see the street lights from the window. The van was still following us and more motorcycle drivers were gaining on us.
Everyone was panicking.
"Ricko go straight!" Kylia yells him.
"Turn left!" Lucy yelled.
"What?!"
"Left!" Lucy screams and lunges forward, whipping the steering wheel left. The motorcycles tried to do the clean sharp turn like our vehicle did, but some crashed into old cars.
"Uh... Lucy!" Ricko mumbles.
"Straight!" Lucy whispers.
"Lucy it's a bridge! The other half isn't even up! We'll die!!" Ricko warns.
"Give me the wheel!!" She screams. Lucy tosses herself up front, sitting on Ricko. "What are you doing, what are you doing? What are you doing?!" Ricko yells as she keeps the van straight.
I look out the window, my eyes widening.
It was like a ramp. A death ramp. I held onto Kyle and closed my eyes tight.
I heard Rick's yells and screams and Lucy yelling "Aw yeah!" In a happy voice.
We landed, and I jerked upward, as the car slammed on the streets.
"Turn! Turn!" Lucy says.
"Which way?" He asks.
"Left."
"Okay.." He says.
"I think I need a new pair of pants," Bella says.
"Me too.." Kyle sighs.
I lift my head and look at him.
"I was joking.." He grins.
"Oh..." I mumble.
"We lost them!!" Lucy tells us. "That's good!" Hunter says.
