This work is a direct sequel to The Crimson Mage, and will obviously contain major spoilers for that work, so it might be a better place to start (though I will warn you that the first chapter of that story may be the worst thing I've ever written. John even allowed her to see some of the births of the dinosaurs in Jurassic Park including their T-rex that she called Rexy.
