《Fandom Imagines and Preferences V》Hayden McClaine- Surprise (c)

You shouted down to your mum to tell her that you were going to your room before you would go to see her in the kitchen. It'd been a long day at work and you just wanted to get your shoes off and take a nap but you planned to get changed before you would go talk to your mum and likely have to go wrangle your sister before dinner. It wasn't the most functional of families, but it worked well enough for you now.
As you opened your bedroom door, you jumped, seeing someone sat on your bed.
"Hayden?" You whispered, hoping that Violet wouldn't hear you from her bedroom.
"Close the door," she stated.
You did as you were told, entering your room and closing your bedroom door before discarding your handbag to your desk chair. You were confused as to why Hayden was there and even more about how she managed to get into your bedroom without anyone noticing her.
Hayden had been your father's girlfriend before your family was forced to move when your mother found out about the affair. Little did any of them know that you were also seeing Hayden. You had gotten to know her and as her relationship with your dad ended, yours kicked off. It wasn't conventional and you had no intentions to tell either of your parents that you were seeing Hayden, but you loved her and that was all that really mattered.
You hadn't seen her in a few months, only phoning or video calling to get to talk to each other, but the distance had been hard for you to cope with. You were beyond glad that she was there but that wouldn't make the situation any easier.
"What are you doing here?" You said in a hushed tone, fearful that anyone in the household would hear you talking to her.

"I thought I would surprise you," she smiled, making her way over to you.
She pressed her lips to yours and laced her arms around your middle. You had missed being able to touch her, being able to have her there instead of miles away at the end of a phone.
"It's the best surprise I could have ever asked for," you grinned. "Although I doubt that my mum or dad would consider this a good surprise."
"Well I don't plan on letting them know I am here. I am just here for you."
"I'm so glad."

El's Revenge
“Revenge is not for the dead- we, as the living, take revenge to relieve the burden we feel,” I whispered into the air. “Salvation for the people who suffered because of you,” I watched as the city burned in the flames. “Salvation for the people like me, who believed in the proclaimed heroes when in reality they were the devils.” I smiled faintly as the ‘holy land’ of those ‘saints’ was destroyed. I heard rustling sounds as Charlotte came to stand next to me, grabbing my hand. “El, are we the bad guys?” If I was still the same as I was before, I might’ve broken down and started crying. Now, it was different. “A villain is just another victim. They cry and mourn, it’s just that no one heard, leading them into madness. It’s one of the reasons why we know the most, but care the least.” I took a deep breath. “We may be the bad guys in other peoples’ eyes, but in my story, we’re the heroes.” Charlotte took in my words for a while and pondered, before nodding in agreement. “As children, we loved the heroes, as adults we understand the villains.” I looked at her and bonked her on the head, earning an angry glare from her. “Hey! You’re barely an adult yourself you know,” she grumbled. I laughed and ruffled her hair, before countering her. “At least I’m not 12. You can’t even be considered a teenager at that age.” After that, we silently watched the flames ravage the land, before leaving.
