《Fandom Imagines and Preferences V》Jamie Moriarty- Distraction (c)

Paperwork had become an almost consistent element in your life, to the point where the work that had once stayed as that, work, had now forced its way into your personal life. At least a folder or two came home with you every night and would likely not be fully complete by morning. Luckily your girlfriend worked long hours and spent a fair amount of time out of your house, so you didn't feel too bad when you needed to bring work home and spend time on it rather than being with her.

Tonight, however Jamie returned home from whatever business she was needed to attend to before the sun set, leaving you a few hours short on what you expected to catch up on your work. Even with Jamie there, you knew you needed to work on it for a little while. Jamie had a home office and seen as she wasn't there, you had set up shop at her desk, letting your papers take over most of the surface.

She made her way around you, her arms wrapping around you, so her head could rest on your shoulder, her lips almost touching your ear lobe.

"You know you don't have to do this work," she whispered, letting her breath tickle your skin.

"If I don't, I'll lose my job," you stated, not looking up from the paper.

"That's the point Y/N," she said. "You know full well that I can fund your wildest dreams and you would never have to work a day in your life."

You put down your pen so that you could turn your head and look her in the eyes. A sly smirk curled upon her lips as she shifted to rest on her desk, to look down at you.

"I happen to enjoy my job, most of the time that is," you smiled softly. "And anyway, I don't want to get involved in whatever you do. I happen to find ignorance as a better option."

"That is for the best," she smirked. "I'd hate for my love, to get involved in such dirty business."

Of course, you knew Jamie was involved in many crimes, but you found it a lot easier to pretend that such things weren't occurring.

"I do appreciate the life your work offers us, but it is so much easier if I pretend it isn't blood money paying for my mortgage."

"If it helps you sleep," she shrugged. "Although I can think of a few different ways to distract you."

Jamie leant in to let her fingers play across the skin of your cheek in an attempt to distract you from your work and what she did for a living. You berated her before you ended up succumbing to her distractions.
