《Fandom Imagines and Preferences V》Noah Foster- Kiss (c)

When there is a killer on the loose, it makes the most sense to throw a party, even if it was more of a friendly get together. It was meant to be a 'at least we aren't dead' get together but a few more people than were first wanted ended up being invited. Brooke had arranged the event, inviting you, Emma, Will and Jake. A last-minute addition was Kieran as Brooke found him attractive and out of guilt, Emma invited Audrey who brought Noah along with her too. Maybe it was a little bit of a mismatched group but after a couple of drinks you couldn't say you weren't enjoying yourself.
Brooke finished a bottle of beer before holding it high with great excitement.
"We should play a game," she squealed. "And I know which one."
Audrey let out a grunt of annoyance, knowing it wouldn't be pleasant but everyone else knew that if Brooke was offering free alcohol, it was best to just go along with it.
"How about a little seven minutes in heaven," Brooke grinned, putting her bottle down in the middle of the circle of people. "Who wants to go first?"
No one jumped at the chance to spin the bottle and you certainly wouldn't be getting involved in it if you had your way. You were friends with most of the group and locking lips with them certainly didn't seem appealing but what was worse was the one person who you would want to kiss was sat in the circle too, and you didn't want him to know that you liked him. Although you had climbed the social ladder, the guy you liked sat happily at the bottom.
Noah Foster, self-classified geek and serial killer fanatic and the person whom you would most like to be with. The two of you had a blossoming friendship, studying together, discussing wild theories about mysteries and generally just enjoying each other's company but you couldn't ever imagine actually admitting how you felt to him, doubting he'd ever like you in return.

Brooke let out a stressed sigh. "Fine, I'll spin the bottle first and then we'll go around the circle."
With a huff, Brooke span the bottle, expecting other people to be more excited about it than they actually were. Jake instantly smirked, wanting the bottle to land on him, equally out of wanting to piss off Brooke and because he liked her more than he would ever admit. Luckily for him, the bottle stopped in front of him. You saw Brooke grit her teeth in annoyance as Jake jumped up excitedly holding his hand out to her.
"Fine," she huffed. "Let's get this over with."
She handed her phone to Emma with a seven-minute timer set. The two of them went off into the closet and had their seven minutes. You heard the odd bump before the alarm sounded and Audrey was sent to open the door seen as neither of them had heard the alarm or simply didn't want to leave what they were doing. With the door swinging open, the two of them were revealed in an entangled state.
With reddened cheeks, the two of them stumbled out of the closet and returned to their places in the circle.
"Noah you're next," Brooke said attempting to flatten her hair.
He froze for a moment before using a shaking hand to spin the bottle. You had never seen someone look so nervous, but Noah seemed to be terrified. It slowed down until it stopped on you. Instantly your cheeks became red and you felt as though your heart and jumped into your throat. Emma smirked at you, knowing how you felt about Noah; if you hadn't been so anxious you would have noticed Audrey giving Noah the same expression.
"Go on," Brooke grinned, giving Noah's shoulder a smack.

He clambered to his feet before approaching you. With an almost apologetic smile, he offered you a shaky hand. You took it and let him help you to your feet before the two of you apprehensively headed into the closet, Audrey closing the door behind you.
The two of you stood in silence, the small bulb above you barely lighting the closet but showing enough of your awkward expressions.
"I'm sorry," Noah whispered.
"Why are you sorry?" You questioned. "It was Brooke's idea and you can't control who it landed on. It could have been worse I guess, unless I was the person you'd least want to be in here with."
He shook his head quicker than would be considered normal. "Definitely not, well as long as I'm not the person you would least want to be in here with."
You awkwardly smiled at him, your cheeks somehow getting redder than they already were.
"W-well it's not that I like you, but I don't not like you, I just can't say I would prefer anyone else to be in here."
Noah paused, trying to organise what you were trying to say to him.
"I have to admit though I've never um... I've never kissed anyone before. I certainly didn't think the first time I did would be under force, in a closet."
"We don't have to Noah," you said kind of sadly. "It's a game, I wouldn't want to think you felt forced to kiss me. If it helps though I've never kissed anyone either."
He offered you a shy kind of smile. "I won't say no, if you don't."
"I don't say no," you said even though grammatically it wasn't the best.
The two of you stood there in silence for a moment longer before he leaned down to press a gentle kiss to your lips. Although it was barely a brush of lips, the two of you stood almost still touching, attempting to savour the moment the two of you shared.
Your moment certainly didn't last long as Audrey swung the door open to tell you that time was up.

Nights of Sambria: And the Wish of Light
“I discovered a secret. One I desperately wish could have stayed hidden. It was locked away, concealed in a fantastical world on the doorstep of 7 billion people who stayed utterly oblivious to it. If they will be spared the terror that is coming, I can’t begin to imagine. Know that a forgotten heritage of a dwindling people whispered, unknowingly sending a call to the ancient mysteries of the world. Something listened. And now events are set in motion that could force the earth on a course of terrible change. I am being hunted and have run out of time. There were no stories about it. No legends. Not even scribbles. Yet, the threat of it is real and that’s why I’m writing this warning with shaking hands. So pay attention those who read this, be careful of what lies waiting cloaked in the darkness. That which made their home the lost places of this world.” She folded the letter with a shuddering breath and stared back in the direction from where the noise reverberated through the halls. It was of stone doors shattering one by one. The chances of getting out safely were all but gone. The letter in her hand was all warning they would have. It dropped into one of the Wells and all that could be done now was hope it was found in time, if at all. -- This was my very first large story. ;) I started writing it years ago. Was fun, was difficult, but in the end, it is a story I hope that will inspire. The prologue is in first person perspective and the rest of the story in 3d. Just a little heads-up :P It is a fantasy epic with a contemporary twist for the start. The first arc of the novel is set inside our modern world, but as the mysterious events around Calin intensifies, the hidden secrets in the world start to become more fantastical. The story follows Calin, a young orphan in search of answers. But, the answers he seeks will change his life and that of his friends forever, for the secrets that caused his situation have far greater ramifications than the small village of Lamb's Crest could have known. Remember to leave ratings and reviews. I'm quite interested in hearing your thoughts on the story. ;) Enjoy reading, Omri Hope

What to expect: - cold steel weapons with magic- colonial-esque era- elements of strategy (including logistics)- powerful mages that can't block a crossbow bolt. Except for some earth mages.- realistic depictions of violence. I don't care to focus on it. - other races introduced eventually, if they fit. - Australian english, except when I slip.
