《Fandom Imagines and Preferences V》Noah Foster- Interest (c)

With summer coming to a close you knew that you had to seek enjoyment from the last few days seen as soon you would be back to the monotonous structure of the American schooling system. For most of the break from school, you hadn't really done much but seen as the end was looming over you, you decided to make an effort with your best friend. It wasn't a huge event, but you and your best friend Noah were going to the local park and just spending the day in the sun.
The two of you had ended up lying in the overgrown grass, looking up at the clouds floating above and talking about the hopes you both held for the new year. You both hoped that the year would be different to the ones that you had normally put up with; the two of you at the bottom of the food chain and a struggle to keep on top of school work with the aims for a decent university.
"I have a good feeling this year. Maybe this will be the year where I actually get a girlfriend," Noah laughed hopefully.
You couldn't help but laugh along with him. Noah was infamously a virgin, struggling to even talk to a girl let alone get one to date him or take him to bed- well other than you. You had secretly had a crush on him since first grade, but you were glad to just be friends with him and you certainly wouldn't sabotage that.
"Or it'll be like any other year," you offered, knowing unless he started liking you, he wouldn't talk to anyone whom was female other than yourself, but had no interest in you.
You wished he could find a girlfriend, just so he would be happier, but you knew he struggled socially and honestly you would have just rather he stayed single, hoping he'd notice you as more than just his best friend.

"Thanks for your confidence in me," he said with a roll of the eyes.
"No problem," you smiled, rolling to your side so that you could look at him. "I don't think I've seen you make a coherent sentence with a girl other than me. I don't know how you plan to get a girlfriend when you can't talk to girls."
He shrugged his shoulders, following suit and rolling to look at you as well. "Maybe I can talk to the girl that I need to."
You frowned, not sure what he was talking about, but you did want an answer. "I don't understand."
He paused chewing on his lower lip as he thought about the best way to talk to you about it, scared of how you would react and not being able to afford losing your friendship.
"If I told you something would you promise to not hate me?" He asked.
"You can tell me anything Noah, I could never hate you."
A gentle but awkward smile curled onto his lips. "I like you; I like you a lot and I have done for a while. I've just been too scared of losing you as a friend if I told you."
You couldn't help but grin at him as you propped yourself up on your elbows to look down at him.
"I've liked you for a very long time too."
The two of you shared a hopeful look, your eyes both glancing to the others lips before you leaned in to seal them together to prove your interest to one another.
