"Scotty, quit slacking off." you said to your brother as he stopped carrying boxes to stare out at the street.
Following his gaze, you find a boy around your age with raven hair and tanned skin walking towards the house across from your own.
In one hand he held a few books - most likely from school - and in the other, a baseball bat.
As the two of you watched the boy move towards the house across from your own, he turned around. He watched us for a few moments, his eyes travelling along the many boxes that flooded our driveway, before moving to meet Scotty and my gaze.
Scotty offered the boy a wave and winning smile, to which he received a sly nod of acknowledgment. He met you gaze once again, offing a hint of a smirk, quickly looking you up and down before going inside.
"Must be leaving school." Scotty stated once he was out of sight.
"Must play baseball." you said, referring to the bat he held.
"Maybe he'll let you play some time." Scotty said as he lifted up another box.
"He'll let us play some time."
