Timmy and Tommy were having another camp out. Hopefully this doesn't end like the last one. Eliza has been wearily around me. I really don't blame her. I hurt her. Eliza right now was talking with Smalls. Lola and Sabrina is here along with Phillips. I still want to know why Phillips punch me when he found I cheated on Eliza. I mean yeah I get why Lola or Sabrina will get mad. Phillips doesn't look like he talks to Eliza.I put a arm around her shoulder. She turn to me and smile.
"Hi " Eliza said shyly
"Why are you turning all shy on me now" I joked. Pulling her in my lap.
"Who wants some S' mores" Ham asked
Everyone went over to Ham
"Do you want some songbird" I asked looking down at her
"Nope " Eliza shake her head.
"Are you feeling okay songbird " I touch her forehead
"I'm just feeling very tired. I didn't sleep at all last night " Eliza rest her head on my shoulder

"I need to do some research for my Class " Eliza kiss my neck

We all just lay down. I was sitting up against a wall. I got some help from Bertram on getting to lay Eliza down on bunch of blankets with her head on my lap.
"Rodriguez are you awake" I heard Phillips whispered
"What do you want Phillips" I roll me eyes
"Calm the hell down. I just wanted to have a chat with you" Phillips got and went out side of the tree house.

I put Eliza head on pillows. I followed Phillips I saw him heading to the sandlot. I quickly went after him. He stop at the pitch stop.
"I bet you're wonder why I wanted to have a chat with you" Phillips turn to me
"Yes and at 2 am" I cross my arms
"Why do you call Eliza your songbird" Phillips asked

"I also cheated on Sabrina once. That why Lola is not the biggest fan of me. Eliza was the only one that talk to me. She helped me to come to my senses that Sabrina was the greatest thing in my life. I try many things to get Sabrina to forgive. Eliza help me alot. On days that I just wanted to give up. Eliza was there to slap me back to my senses. Eliza is like my younger sister. I know my sister from the back of my hand. And yes I take Lola as my sister as well. You will never meet anyone as kind like them." Phillips told me quite

"That doesn't matter just don't hurt Eliza " Phillips walked away.
"I won't " I whispered to myself.
I went back into the tree house and cuddle Eliza to my chest
"I will never let you down. " I whispered and kiss her forehead

When the first derelict alien spacecraft fell to Earth, humanity took what was found in it and propelled themselves to new heights. An unassuming spacecraft, one of the dozens that fell yearly, descended on Siberia in 2021. The world took no particular notice of it. However, this one contained something beyond the miraculous technology that had made humans so prosperous. Three years later, in a top-secret underground facility in eastern Colorado, the automated construction of an army of Paladin Mobile Infantry Suits was underway. With this new, state-of-the-art weaponry, the military would turn the tide against the alien incursion that was consuming the planet. Humanity fell before that could happen. Sam was an engineer responsible for overseeing the facility. Now alone, he lives in utter boredom and near insanity, his only company the base’s pseudo AI and an army of empty Paladins. With the world gone to hell around him, and the things that caused it still living above, he decides that he is much better off staying exactly where he is. Unfortunately for him, that is no longer an option. This is the first novel I've written. The first fifteen or so chapters are going to be a little slower. I want there to be time to get to know the characters before they start blowing stuff up. Also, though the MC will be strong relative to the world, he won't be OP, and won't win every fight. Not every fight will be physical either. Currently, I'm aiming for something like 5 fairly short chapters a week, after the introduction part is done, but we'll see how that goes.
