was all that Eleanor could feel in the industrial garage - not from her, from Lydia. In horror, she covered her gasp with her shaking hand as she watched Jackson falter in his stance, his expression filled with pain as near death approached. Eleanor couldn't bare to look at her older brother and uncle, whom has just tore Jacksons life away, and instead looked away, her stomach churning.

Her eyes watered at the sight and she looked to Lydia, who instinctively stepped closer to her former boyfriend, helping him to the floor. Everyone knew not to interrupt.

"Do you - do you still -"

Lydia let out a choked sob as she made eye contact with the boy. "I do. I do still love you. I do, I do, I do. I do still love you."

Jacksons eyes fluttered shut and his head slowly rested on her shoulder, the key he once held in his hand now on the floor. Both Lydia and Eleanor gasped. Lydia let out a small cry, running her fingers through his hair as she held onto him tightly. The others watched in sympathy and horror.

The strawberry blonde laid him to rest on the floor, her hand caressing his face and arm before she stood up. She attempted to wipe her tears, and turned on her heel towards the group watching her every move. Faltering in her steps, Lydia screwed her eyes shut as she let out a inaudible sob from her quivering lips.

Immediately, Eleanor rushed forward and enveloped Lydia in a warm embrace. She rubbed her back soothingly as she too shut her eyes, allowing a few tears to stream down her face as Lydia sobbed into her shoulder. However, they did not hold the stance for long.

The sound of scraping claws on the floor took everyone's attention in the room, and the two girls turned to look at Jackson in disbelief. Without so much as a second thought, his eyes snapped open, revealing a familiar cold blue. Eleanor breathed out a sigh of relief and stepped back, in front of Stiles who wrapped his arms around her shoulders.

The indecent boy made his way to his feet, looking up to the sky as he let out an inhumane roar of power. He was a werewolf now. Jackson slumped his shoulders as his claws and canines retracted, and he turned toward the group before him, his eyes landing firmly on Lydia. He let out a shaky sigh of relief.

Instantly, the strawberry blonde ran forward and into his arms, hugging tightly as he hands ran through his hair. Eleanor smiled at the couple, leaning her head on Stiles shoulder as she looked up at him and returned the smile to him. He squeezed her shoulders and leant down to press a kiss to her temple, before their attention turned back to the couple reuniting.

Scott turned back to look at the group first, giving everyone a small smile as they returned the gesture. Jaden motioned toward Jackson and Lydia as everyone looked at him. "We should probably give these two some time alone."

Eleanor nodded, her grin unfading for she finally thought everything was going to be okay. And hopefully, it would stay that way.

"haven't told them everything yet, have you?"

Jaden, Eleanor and Isaac furrowed their eyebrows at Peter's remark. Eleanor crossed her arms over her chest and turned back to look at her older brother, awaiting his words. "What does he mean?"

"Have you ever wondered why Derek was in such a hurry to build his own pack?"

Jaden nodded. "To build his power and strength in numbers."

Peter raised his eyebrow at the correct answer, but his nephew had left out one detail. "When there's a new Alpha, people start to take notice."

"People like who?" Isaac questioned curiously, leaning toward Derek and Peter as they exchanged sparing looks.

When nobody answered, the curly haired boy continued toward the front door of the house, pointing to a symbol that neither of the twins had noticed before. Their mouths fell open.

"What is this? What does it mean?"

"It's their symbol." Eleanor whispered, mainly to herself more than to the boys. However, they could easily hear her.

Derek eyed his little sister, guilt swarming on his tongue for not telling them sooner. He stood before Isaac and nodded his head. "And it means their coming."

"Who?"

Derek looked to the floor, and then back to Isaac. "Alpha's."

"You mean - more than one?" The curly haired boy questioned, his eyes searching Derek's for an answer that he hoped wasn't true.

"A pack of them." Eleanor stated, turning to glare at her uncle and elder brother. Her eyes wanted to sting, she wanted to run away, she wanted to hide.

Isaac furrowed his eyebrows and Peter nodded in conclusion. "An alpha pack. And they're not coming - they're already here."

...

twins were spending their last day in America - for the summer - with their two best friends. It felt amazing to spend time, all four of them together, without any interruptions or danger. They hadn't done such a thing since the Hale's had started attending Beacon Hills High. It was strange, but a nice strange.

"Tom Holland, Zac Efron and Aaron Taylor Johnson."

Eleanor hummed in delight at the question, and the mention of a certain childhood crush. "Well, I definitely marry Aaron. Who wouldn't? And Zac is also a childhood crush, so I'd kiss him and kill Tom Holland."

"Are you two done with that stupid game?" Scott and Eleanor grinned at Stiles' complaint and pushed themselves off of leaning on the jeep.

"Well." Eleanor feigned offended, her arms crossed over her chest as she raised an eyebrow at the boy. "Apparently we are now."

Stiles just rolled his eyes playfully at the brunette, while Scott chuckled. The buzzcut boy threw a lacrosse stick his way, sharing a pointed stare as he motioned toward the goal beside them.

"Would you just get in the goal and help me practice like you said you would?"

They were stood in the middle of the school's lacrosse field. Scott and Jaden had promised to help Stiles with his lacrosse techniques and Eleanor was forced to tag along with the three best friends. Not that she minded, she loved spending time with them.

"Hey Stiles?" She called, her hand resting on the bonnet of Roscoe as Stiles turned around, raising his eyebrow and awaiting her to talk. "Can I sit on Roscoe?"

Scott and Jaden started to laugh, shaking their head at her question as they turned to make their way toward their posts on the pitch. They paused and silenced at the Stilinski's answer, shocked.

"Uh, yeah of course."

Their smiles fell and they stared at Eleanor in wonder, who just giggled and climbed onto the bonnet, lying gently against the windshield as she took a bite of the apple she was holding, watching the boys.

Stiles turned back to Jaden and Scott, who instantly raised their eyebrows at the boy. The Aderall enthused boy froze and his neck burned red with embarrassment, noticing that the boys were on to him and his antics.

Instead of making it awkward, he glared at them and pushed Scott toward the goal, as Jaden dropped the bag of balls beside Stiles' feet. Stiles smiled appreciatively and opened the bag, dropping a ball at the side of his sneakers before adjusting his grip on his lacrosse stick.

"Hey, you know what I've just realised?"

Eleanor rolled her head to the side and looked at him expectantly, as did the boys, her eyebrows raised and her lips pursed.

"I'm right back where I started."

Stiles furrowed his brows and while Jaden tightened the net on his stick. "What do you mean?"

"I mean - no lacrosse, no popularity, no girlfriend. Nothing."

Eleanor sat up, her legs dangling over the edge of the jeep as she looked toward Scott. Jaden shook his head at the werewolves words. "Hey! You have us!"

"Yeah, but I had you before."

"And you've still got us, okay? Life fulfilled." Eleanor pressed, giving him a pointed look as he laughed and nodded at the girl. She wasn't wrong, and he was extremely lucky to have the three best friends he did.

"Alright." Stiles sighed, scooping a ball into his net and lifting slightly, looking Scott up and down. "Remember, no wolf powers."

"Got it."

Stiles raised a brow. "I mean it. No super fast reflexes, no super eyesight, no hearing - none of that crap, okay?"

"Okay! C'mon!"

Stiles moved his stick side to side and adjusted his grip, moving and leaning forward to throw the ball into the net. He stopped before the ball could go anywhere, eyeing his best friend yet again.

"You promise?"

Jaden laughed at Stiles' worries, patting him on the back comfortingly. "Dude, would you just throw the ball already? On behalf of Scott, I promise."

Stiles nodded half heartedly, glancing back toward his net holding the ball. Mumbling incoherently to himself, he leant back and then forward, letting the ball fly toward the goal. Easily, and using his unfair wolfpowers, Scott caught the ball swiftly, smiling in delight.

The buzzcut boy groaned and glared at both Scott and Jaden. "I said no wolf powers!"

Laughing at the situation, Eleanor hopped down from the jeep and crossed her arms over her chest. Moving closer to Stiles, she faced the two werewolves who had teamed against the boy unfairly.

"You guys are brutal, give little Ti a break, would you?"

Stiles gently shoved Eleanor. "Stop calling me that!"

"Either that or your real name. You know the deal babe." Rolling his eyes and groaning, he smiled spitefully at the girl.

"Gee, what would I ever do without you?"

Eleanor hummed, considering the question as if it weren't said sarcastically. Flipping her hair to one side, circling round Jaden to grab Scott's lacrosse stick, she pretended to ponder.

"Hm, crash and burn?" She offered, smiling gleefully.

Scott raised an eyebrow as his lacrosse stick was taken from him. "Well, according to my calculations, Stiles is set to crash in burn in seven hours and thirty four minutes."

"Do you really have to go?"

Jaden sighed and nodded. "Derek has things to take care of here, and Jackson needs some guidance -"

"The werewolf 101 if you will."

"Exactly. It'll only be for the summer! We'll be back for junior year."

Stiles groaned, digging his lacrosse stick into the ground and twisting it. "The entire summer? That's a long time to go without you two, a long time to spend with just Scott."

Scott rolled his eyes at Stiles' playful manner and took his lacrosse stick from him, saving it from further damage, placing it against the goal along with Jaden's and his own. He turned back to look at the small group.

"How about we stop talking about you leaving and actually spend time with each other?"

Eleanor grinned and pointed toward Scott, moving to wrap an arm around his waist as she patted his chest. "Now that's a good idea. How would we have ever thought of that, Scotty?"

Again, he rolled his eyes. "Ha, ha. Now, can we actually do something? Like, all four of us?"

"I thought you were going to help me with my lacrosse!" Stiles complained, his eyes narrowed at the werewolf as he pointed toward the sticks.

Jaden shrugged. "Scott has all summer to teach you that crap. We should do something fun."

"Like what?"

Eleanor hummed, biting her lip absentmindedly before she turned to look at Scott hopefully. "Movie night at your place? I miss my favourite mom."

Scott laughed, shaking his head at Eleanor's last sentence. He looked between her and the two boys, who seemed to like the idea she had brought upon them, and nodded his head in agreement. He fished for his phone in his pocket.

"Alright, I'm down. Let me text my mom to double check, but she loves you guys anyway - she'll say yeah."

The four let out small laughs, grabbing the barely used lacrosse sticks as they made their way back to Stiles' jeep. They opened the back, shoving their belongings into the small space before moving toward the front doors, climbing into the vehicle as Scott stayed outside, calling his mother.

After a few seconds, he ended the call and climbed over Eleanor and into the backseat with Jaden. They all turned to him expectantly.

He smiled. "She said yeah."

They all gave appreciative smiles, and Stiles turned to start the ignition, the engine roaring to life as he started toward the exit of the school parking lot. He hummed to the familiar tune sounding from the radio and looked at Scott through his rear view mirror.

"Hey, Scott? Do you have the Star Wars movies?"

holy crap this is the last proper chapter of Orphic! seems mental that I've finished it, it only feels like yesterday I had gotten the idea for a concept and storyline for this work. those who like the book and want to continue on Eleanor's journey in the near future, stand by for further details coming to you soon!

I want to say a massive thank you to my readers! without you guys, I'd have no motivation to write this book, and it makes me extremely proud when you comment and vote on this story. doesn't seem real. and although I'm sad that season one and two are over with, I'm happy with the new adventures that the Hale twins have in store for them in season three and beyond.

Of course, it would be apt to say a huge, warm thank you to Teen Wolf themselves for inspiring the book and me! It's insane that the show has now officially ended - in fact I watched the finale episode this morning. what a lot of emotions running around for me right now. I'll miss it more than ever, and all the characters, but it continues to inspire me everyday and I'm happy to see where the future seasons take Eleanor and Jaden.

I really hope you enjoyed Orphic, and you're looking forward to the next book. and as I said, keep an eye out for any updates on the next book! talk soon nuggets,
