[ start of second chance at first line part one ]
"not realise, El?" Jaden questioned incredulously, furrowing his eyebrows together as they continued to walk toward the seemingly empty locker room.
Most of the players were now on the field, warming up for first line try outs, and so the room became visibly clearer, and less crowded.
Eleanor narrowed her eyes at her twin brother. "Maybe it was because I had more important things to worry about than the new girl's last name." Her tone came off rather harsh, however Jaden knew why. He was just as bitter about the Argents as she was, he just had a more rational way of showing it.
"For the love of God, will you two please involve me in this! I was there too." Scott groaned from behind them as they trailed into the locker room.
Both twins turned to glare at him. "You don't know the Argents like we do, Scott."
They turned the corner sharply and Eleanor let out a shriek of surprise upon bumping into Stiles, whom widened his eyes with excitement at the sight of Scott. "Dude, did you talk to Allison?"
Scott nodded miserably. "Yeah, she said she'd give me a second chance."
"Thank god! So everything's good now?" Eleanor scoffed.
"No. The hunters I told you about? Her dad is one of them." Scott complained, leaning against his locker door as he thought over the last twenty four hours' events.
"I still can't believe Allison's an Argent. A flipping Argent, unbelievable." Eleanor muttered, and Stiles looked up to meet her gaze, throwing her a cautious look.
"Wait what? Why do you say that like it's a bad thing?"
Eleanor chuckled bitterly, as Jaden merely rolled his eyes, watching the two boys. "It is. The Argent family are the worst I've ever come across, you need to be careful Scott."
Stiles seemed to have come upon a thought. "Wait, wait, he didn't recognise you, did he?"
"I don't think so?" The brunette boy stuttered, scratching his temple to rack his thoughts as El shook her head. "He didn't. The only wolves he knows of is me, Jaden and Derek."
"Well then, does Allison know about you?" The thought made Scott's eyes widen.
"Of course she doesn't! The Argents don't tell of their family history until a child has come of age to earn the knowledge of such intensity. However, once she finds out, they'll do whatever they can to make sure she's on their side, and not ours."
Jaden tapped his foot impatiently, checking on his watch. "Look, i know this is significantly important, but right now we need to focus on lacrosse. Try out's start in five minutes."
Eleanor squinted her eyes, trying to understand why Jaden thought playing lacrosse was such a good idea for Scott. "You aren't serious?" She deadpanned.
Jaden shrugged as Stiles picked up Scott's equipment, pushing it into the dazed boy's arms. "Take this, take it and focus on lacrosse, okay? That's all you've got to do, alright. Lacrosse. Here we go, c'mon."
And without a second glance, all three boys left the locker room, abandoning Eleanor as they followed through with their unsuccessful plan. How insanely idiotic were they to fail to realise that Scott playing lacrosse would only make things extremely worse.
Eleanor huffed, straightening out her plaid short skirt before exiting the locker room, following the school hallways to the exit opposite the field, greeting a few people she remembered meeting at the party last night. She spotted both Allison and Lydia on the bleachers, and tried not to let the new information ruin her impression of Allison, however decided to stay on the players bench next to coach as a safety measure if things escalated and got out of hand.

Her elbow rested upon her knee and she dropped her chin onto her knuckles as she pouted, instantly regretting wearing such a short skirt, for she was convinced that her bum had become completely numb due to the cold temperature. Not only was she extremely cold, she began to feel an buzz in the pit of her stomach, something she'd never come across before. She watched as Stiles patted both Scott and Jaden on the back before trekking back to the bench, his eyes lighting up at the sight of Eleanor as he sat down.
Stiles seemed to have noticed the goosebumps covering the surface of her skin and rolled his eyes at her choice of clothing, unzipping his duffle bag and chucking his Beacon Hills Lacrosse jumper as she grinned in satisfaction, immediately slipping the article of Stiles' clothing on, enjoying the warmth and scent it gave her. Stiles always smelled good. Really good.
"So," The boy started, raising his eyebrows at the beta, "Are you finally going to talk to me, or are you just going to purposely ignore me like you did all day?" His sarcastic statement, though meant to cheer her up, only made her feel worse.
"I'm sorry, there's just a lot going on. Scott got turned, you're both convinced Derek did it, you guys know about me and Jaden now, the whole Laura situation." Stiles looked to the ground at the mention of Derek, but looked up upon hearing of Laura, the eldest Hale.
"Hold on, Laura? What about her?" Eleanor sighed in dismay, meeting his gaze as her eyes filled with concern, the buzz in her stomach beginning to spread, and rise throughout her body.
"She's missing Stiles. Laura is missing, she missed our first day as a proper family." Stiles immediately pulled Eleanor towards him, allowing her to rest her head on his shoulder and lean into his bigger frame. "I'm scared that she's not coming back."
His grip of her tightened at her wavering voice, and he squeezed her arm gently in comfort before rubbing up and down the sleeves of the sweatshirt she was wearing. He'd met Laura a few times over the years that Jaden and Eleanor knew their siblings, and hearing that she had gone missing felt horrible.
"Hey, Laura's going to be fine, alright? But in the mean time, I'll always be here, you can count on me, you and-"
Eleanor sat up straighter, staring ahead at the field as she realised that the buzz throughout her body had been a warning. "Scott."
Stiles squinted his eyes in confusion. "What? No, I was saying you and Jaden."
"No, Stiles. Scott! We have to get him out of here." Both of them turned to see Scott crouched down on the ground, breathing heavy as a wounded Jackson laid on the field, surrounded. Eleanor immediately realised that the feeling she had gotten before hand was because she was beginning to connect herself to Scott.
Jaden caught the eye of his twin and they both nodded before Eleanor grabbed Stiles arm, pulling him along to where Scott was. All three friends caught up to him at the same time, and Eleanor rested a hand upon Scott's shoulder. "We need to get you off the field, buddy."
Scott glanced up, his eyes revolving from their normal brown to a light golden tone. "It's happening, I can't control it."
Jaden and Stiles pulled the brunette to his feet as Eleanor kept talking. "I know, I know. Focus on your breathing and keep your head down, at least until we get to the locker room."

The four best friends almost sprinted to the boy's changing rooms, pushing Scott in quickly as Stiles made sure that the door was shut and that nobody could come in. Upon turning around, he was not expecting to see three werewolves.
"Oh my god! Give a guy some warning!" He huffed, stumbling back as both Jaden and Eleanor turned to face him.
"Stiles, run!"
The twins moved forward to grab Scott immediately, but he had already darted in another direction and was dangerously close to Stiles. The thought of Stiles being touched or injured by Scott's claws was enough for Eleanor to appear in front of Stiles and keep him safe.
She growled viciously as Scott growled back, advancing towards her as she pushed Stiles back, making sure he wasn't in the path of danger before throwing Scott off of her and into one of the lockers. It gave Eleanor enough time to pull Stiles to the other side of the room, and let Jaden deal with Scott's next fit of outrage.
"Stiles," She turned to face him, trying to ignore the look of astonishment as he took in her wolf features, "Whatever you do, stay here and stay away from Scott."
She turned to the wall and picked up the fire extinguisher, pushing it into his hands. "If I'm not here on time, and he comes near you, use that, alright?"
Stiles looked from the fire extinguisher to her a few times before nodding, trying to calm himself down as Eleanor stumbled to find Jaden slipping on the water Greenberg had spilt earlier that day, groaning as he hit his head. "Shit, that hurt."
Despite feeling the pain in his head herself, at the sight of her brother in pain, she turned to her side and bared her teeth, only to find that Scott had vanished from his position, which could only mean one thing. He was after Stiles.
Without hesitation, Eleanor took off toward Stiles, however was met by the sound of thick white air spraying over their friend while Stiles was struggling to hold the red can, his lacrosse gloves were still accompanying his hands.
Eleanor sighed in relief, and used her eyes to find Scott had returned to normal under the smoke, and had now slumped himself against the bench, breathing heavily as he looked up.
Once the fog cleared, Stiles put down the extinguisher and Jaden came out from behind the lockers, holding a hand to his head. Eleanor could still feel it throbbing a bit, but the pain had subsided since he had first hit it.
"What happened?"
Stiles laughed. "Well, you tried to kill us."
"Yeah, and I hit my head pretty hard trying to stop you." Jaden added, patting Scott on the shoulder as he sat on the bench behind him.
Eleanor groaned at his words. "Tell me about it. It really flipping hurt!" Jaden just grinned, however Scott and Stiles were baffled.
"Wait, if you can feel what Jaden feels, then why can't I?" Scott questioned, and she sighed, sitting down next to Stiles as she leant against the wall.
"Well, there are two answers to your question," Eleanor started. "The first one, because every single pair of werewolf twins feel what the other does." Both boys raised their eyebrow at this new information.
"Reason number two, is because El isn't your typical werewolf." Jaden finished as she rolled her eyes at his mysterious statement.
"You see these?" She let her eyes glow purple and they nodded. "They're not a normal colour. Alpha's have red eyes, beta's have yellow eyes and if they kill, they turn blue. Mine are purple."
"Okay," Scott dragged. "Then what does that mean?"
"It means she's one of a kind. No other werewolf in the world is similar. Eleanor, is an Empath - Werewolf. She's both. She can feel your emotions, and your physical injuries if she thinks about it."
Both of the twins best friends looked astonished. "Holy shit, that's insane." Stiles breathed, turning to look at Eleanor.
"Well then, what am I going to do? I'm hurting people, and by hurting you, I'm hurting Eleanor." Scott stated, frustrated by the events occurring as Jaden shook his head.
"Scott, me and El are going to be here to help you get through this, you can count on us, alright? It's like what Stiles told you before. It's the anger that drives you to do that, your pulse raising."
Scott frowned. "But that's lacrosse, it's a violent game.
"Yeah, and I should have never thought that letting you play would be a good idea." Jaden sighed as Stiles nodded. "And it's going to be a whole lot more violent if you end up killing someone on the field. You can't play that game on Saturday."
Scott widened his eyes at what Stiles had said, shaking his head in dismay. "Stiles, I'm first line."
"Not anymore."
A silence filled the room after what Eleanor had said, but was cut by her phone ringing, Derek's caller ID flashing upon her screen as she sighed.
"I need to take this, but go and get dressed. I'll be waiting for you outside and then we can go home." Gesturing to her phone, Eleanor left the locker room and made her way outside of the school, pressing the green button on her device to pick up the call she was receiving.
"Derek?"
"El, when does Scott get out of school?" She rolled her eyes at his question.
"They just finished lacrosse practice, so any minute now. Why?"
Derek went silent. "No reason."
Eleanor snorted at his attempt to sound innocent and shook her head. "Bull, but whatever. Just, if you pay him a visit, please don't be an ass, and don't hurt him. Remember, I can feel it too."
"I won't Elle, I promise." Derek sighed and she nodded, "Good."
"Alright, I've got to go. I'm going to stay round Stiles' for dinner, it's pizza night at the Stilinski's. I'll see you at home."
Derek hummed. "Okay, just don't do anything I would." Eleanor almost choked.
"You're a prick, you know that?" He laughed at her words.
"I've been told once or twice. See you later El, love you." She murmured an 'I love you' as a reply and ended the call before pulling up her text conversations, opening Lydia.
She typed a quick message, pretending as if she wanted to know if Jackson was okay, pressing send just in time for all three boys to emerge from the school.
"Who was it?" Jaden questioned as Eleanor rolled her eyes playfully at her conversation with her older brother.
"Just Derek." At the mention of the eldest brother, Scott visibly tensed. "Checking in on me."
"Ah, thought so. Did he say anything about..?" Jaden trailed off and Eleanor frowned, shaking her head. "No, still nothing."
They walked towards Stiles' jeep and a replicate of El's car, Jaden's Mercedes Benz, in a comfortable silence. Jaden turned to El as they reached the vehicles. "You go to the Stilinski's every Thursday, and I'm going to Scott's to watch the football game, so I'll take Scott and Stiles can take you?"
Eleanor nodded, pushing both him and McCall toward the car beside them as she jumped into Stiles' jeep. Stiles soon followed after her, and Eleanor smiled in delight upon turning the stereo on, hearing what Stiles had been playing.
"You're playing my CD!" She exclaimed, turning to look at her best friend as he laughed. "Of course I am, you made it for me."
Needless to say the drive home was filled with loud singing, terrible dance moves and a lot of laughs that ended Eleanor in a fit of giggles when pulling into the Stilinski's driveway.
The pair headed into the house as soon as they parked, Eleanor using her old and rusted key that she was given over five years ago from the Stilinski's, and immediately rushed up to Stiles' room, throwing her school bag to the floor as she fell onto his bed.
"I think I prefer your bed to mine. Is that completely weird?" She called out as Stiles walked down the hall and into the bathroom to grab his Aderall, she could hear him laughing.
"Not at all, you practically live here Nora. Why else would you be here for family pizza night?"
She nodded, before reminding herself that she couldn't be seen. "That's completely true."
Her phone beeped in her pocket and she lifted her bum off the bed, pulling the device from her back pocket as she read the message displayed on the lock screen.
😽
Nothing too bad, just a separated shoulder. He might not be able to play on Saturday. How did you hear about it, I didn't see you at practice ? Xx
Eleanor cringed and replied. "Stiles! Lydia told me about what happened to Jackson."
"Inform me."
"Separated shoulder, nothing too bad, although he may not be able to play on Saturday." Stiles nodded slowly, walking into the room before rummaging through his school bag in search for his phone.
"Wanna video call Scott and Jaden then? We can tell them what's going on." Eleanor nodded, getting up from where she had lay on the bed and sat down on Stiles' office chair, finding Skype on his computer.
Scott's name popped up on the screen and Eleanor clicked it, almost immediately coming face to face with the new beta. "El?"
"And Stiles!" Stiles called, running over to the computer screen before glaring at Eleanor playfully.
"Oi, mind getting off my chair Nora?" Eleanor shook her head, leaning back to relax.
"Nah, I'm good where I am." Without hesitation, she was lifted off the seat and sat back on Stiles lap as she tried to muffle the sound of her squealing.
It took Eleanor a few moments to register what had just happened, however upon realising, her face heated up and her cheeks became a rosy red as she earned a cheeky grin from both her twin brother and best friend on the opposite side of the screen.
"That-"
"Happened and now we can talk about Jackson. Lydia texted me back." Eleanor interrupted, saving herself from embarrassment by cutting Scott's devilish comment with her own.
"What happened? What did you find out?"
Stiles hummed, grabbing the brunette's phone from her hand as he unlocked it with the password only he would be able to guess, and read aloud the message Lydia had sent. "So, a separated shoulder."
Scott leaned forward curiously as Jaden watched. "Because of me?"
Eleanor snorted, snatching her phone from Stiles and sitting it on the desk. "No, because he's a tool."
"Is he going to play?" Scott asked, leaning back slightly, beginning to feel guilty about his actions that had taken place on the lacrosse pitch earlier that day.
Eleanor shrugged. "Well, Lydia says they don't know yet, though I bet she wants him to. They're counting on you for Saturday now."
Scott groaned in dismay, tugging at his hair in frustration as the images of the live chat became pixelated, and distorted. Stiles became rigid, slipping his hands beside Eleanor as he began to type a message to both Scott and Jaden that read '.'
Eleanor widened her eyes and leaned forward immediately, searching the disorientated image, landing her eyes on a figure standing on the right hand side of Scott. She didn't recognise the man immediately, but as the image started to move slowly, Eleanor could identify that the man was her older brother, and that her speculation after lacrosse try outs hadn't been wrong.
The screen went black after a few seconds, and Stiles groaned, wrapping his arms around Eleanor's waist before leaning his head on her back, trying not to unleash his frustration. Eleanor merely frowned, picking up her phone and messaging Jaden to make sure nothing went wrong and that everybody was alright.
