《Stuck in Between (Reaper!Sans X Reader)》~Chapter 1~

"SANS TAKE THE GODDAMN SHOT!" You cried, tears painting your face.
Sans was frozen in place, looking at you. Your body kept changing, shifting from the broken, tattered image of you and the bloodthirsty, ravenous image of a demonic child known as Chara. For the moment, you had control. You dropped the blade in your hand and stretched your arms out, exposing your body for attacks.
"Take the shot! I'll just reset and we can start over again. I didn't want this! I-I just want everyone back." You sobbed.
"(Y-Y/N)... I don't know if you can reset." Sans said, unsure.
"Then we can get Frisk to! Just take the shot while I have control!" You snapped.
"(Y/N)-"
"Do it now!" You screamed, squeezing your fist.
Finally, bones pierced your body and your own skeleton crunched around the new bones. To seal the deal, your body was engulfed in the lasers of a Gaster Blaster. Chara screamed, clawing at your mind like a wild animal.
Something's wrong! We're not gonna reset. We're not making it back! We're not-
Quiet. The child's voice was replaced by white noise and something swept over you. The few moments of relief you usually got from ending a genocide run weren't there. Something in you felt hallow. What was a genocide run? It seems bad. Why was there a child speaking to you? Do we know each other? Why are my memories so fuzzy, so far away? What happened to me?

Your eyes opened to see nothing but endless white. No walls over floors surrounded you. It was just blank space. Beautiful singing filled the air, sounding like it was familiar. It was comforting, like when a mother sang lullabies to their children.
You stood and walked towards it, but quickly found yourself lost. You wanted to hear the song. You wanted to find who was singing the tune, but you couldn't see.
"Hello?" You called. "Ma'am please help me. I can't find you, I'm so lonely. I want to see you." You pled.
The singing stopped and the area around you shifted. Lively greenery sprouted from the walls of the seemingly wall-less void. Animals appeared from patches, peering at you fearfully. A large wooden door appeared in front of you, vines twisting around it elegantly.
"Hello?" You echoed again.
The door swung open and the area around you seemed to fill in. A female monster, appearing to be a goat-type of creature, looked at you wearily. She wore a dress woven of large blossoms and leaves, a view over the entirety of it like morning dew. A crown of blue blossoms circled her horns as her gentle magenta eyes circled towards you.

"A child? How are you here? How have you managed to travel such a path?" She muttered.
Something about her seemed comforting, and you felt the numbness inside of you break down. A tidal wave of emotions washed over you as you ran to her, feeling she was like a mother to you. Fear and panic laced your actions as you clung to the woman, sobbing. Confusion rocked you next, then an emotional pain. One of realizing you'd just lost something you couldn't remember.
"Please help me." You sobbed. "I can't remember anymore. I'm so alone. I'm scared. I'm not supposed to be here." You cried.
The woman seemed startled by you, but melted into a gentle smile. Her paw-like hands encircled you as she lifted you in a tender embrace. She walked, cradling you tenderly in her soft arms.
"It is okay, my child. You are safe. I will not leave you." She cooed. "My name is Toriel, I am the goddess of life. What might I call you, young child?"
You couldn't answer immediately, even if you hadn't been sobbing. A few minutes passed and a name appeared in your memory. It seemed right, so you spoke. "My name is (Y/N), I think."
Toriel seemed concerned by your uncertainty, but she smiled. "That is a truly lovely name." She praised.
You smiled and sniffled. You felt safe with her, among the thriving wildlife. This felt right, almost. Something still felt off. You still weren't in your place. You didn't care though, you liked it. You liked how Toriel had accepted you so easily. You liked how she held you protectively. She seemed right to you.
You looked at her and twisted around in her arms, freeing yourself and landing on the ground, flat on your butt. Toriel snickered gently at you and you smiled. She offered you a hand and you took it, smiling gratefully.
You stood and Toriel looked at you approvingly. "I'm glad you feel better child. You are very pretty when you smile." She said happily.
You blushed and muttered a small "thank you."
Toriel looked at you and thought a moment while you took the time to look around. Animals and plants of all types surrounded you, working perfectly in an ecosystem that had no trouble sustaining itself.
"This world is truly beautiful." You complimented. "I can see how skillfully you craft life in their design."
Toriel smiled and nodded. "This makes up my mind." she said finally. "(Y/N), would you like to live with me here in my domain of life?"

You smiled happily and nodded. "Of course!" You cheered. "Since I don't have a home this is exactly what I need."
The statement felt like a lie, but as far as you knew it was true. "Okay Ms. Toriel. I think I'm gonna like it here."

I skipped through the forest, barefoot and beaming as I darted past tree after tree. A newly woven flower crown dangled in my hand as I skipped to where Toriel usually sat. My clothes, crafted from soft flowing fabrics, billowing around me as I barreled towards Toriel.
"Mom!" I called as I warning. "Incoming!"
She turned a smiled, opening her arms as you leapt to her. She knelt down and let you remove her current flower crown, and you replaced it with a fresh one. Her used ones didn't die, seeing as this was the domain of life, but they became ill-used by the third day. This means you often spent those three day periods making Toriel a big and beautiful crown.
You hung her used crown on an idle name branch and smiled. "I've already checked in the animals and the crown came along nicely, can we do something fun now?" You asked, pouting.
Toriel snickered and looked at you. "Okay (Y/N), but you're putting the basket together."
You nodded and picked up a wicker basket, running off to the garden that Toriel grew. You cleaned and packed the good vegetables, then collected some bread from the other day to use. Stuffing the basket, you threw it over your shoulder and marched from the house.
"Hey mom! I'm done packing the-"
A big leaf slapped over your mouth and you growled. You peered at your adoptive mother and your eyes widened. Past her, the once vibrant grass and shrubbery had wilted into brittle, dry husks. At the center of the dead plants, another monster stood, a grin stretched across his face. A dark hood hid his face, a clasp resembling the skull if a creature acting as a sort of clasp in the front. A scythe laid against his shoulder lazily, him leaning on it as well. His eyes were hallow, regular eyes replacing by floating white specks. His tone of voice seemed nonchalant and uncaring, yet also threatening and tense.
"Relax Tori, I'm not looking for the Flowey kid. That adventure's over. This time my business is different."
Toriel stood rigidly. "Leave this place Sans, you're not welcome."
He chuckled, breaking eye contact with Toriel in favor of the nearby blossom. Looking up, he saw the tree that you used to hang Toriel's crowns. He smirked and plucked one from the branches. You gasped quietly as the crown instantly wilted in his skeletal grip. He plucked the brittle petals and tossed them to the side with an uncaring look.
"Oh come on Tori, I thought we were okay. It's just business. There was a mix up with one of the special case souls. I just need to find them and send them off on the path to the afterlife."
Your heart leapt with recognition, but you instantly lost the small moment. You almost had a memory.
"It doesn't matter Sans. You aren't welcome and they probably do not desire to be taken to such a place if she's fled." Toriel countered.
Sans raised an invisible brow and smirked. "Her? So you have seen her..." He mused.
One of the creatures pulled back on your sleeve but you didn't move. You watched mutely as the skeleton circled Toriel. Rage bubbled in your stomach as death crumbled the life behind him. Slowly, he stopped in his tracks and turned to Toriel.
Your heart dropped as he began to raise a hand towards her. Instantly fearing that Toriel would face the same fate as the plants, you acted. You ran from the cover, calling a battle cry. You shoved the skeleton and stood protectively over your mother.
"Don't you dare touch my mother!" You hissed.
The skeleton looked at you in dismay, the amusement. "So this is the mistake I've been looking for." He hummed.
Instantly he was on his feet, standing only a few inches taller than you. Toriel cried for him to stop but you froze as he moved against you. You suddenly felt flustered as his face grew uncomfortably close. He seemed smug about his actions, causing your face to super heat. Stepping back quickly, you firmly slapped Sans and crossed your arms.
He looked at you with awe a moment before smiling. "Now I know what's wrong with you." He said happily.

8 174THIRTEEN (Evie's Perspective)
This is the 2003 movie, Thirteen, told from the perspective of Evie Zamora. We got Tracy's point of view, but what about Evie? Why did she do the things she did?I've seen a few different interpretations of Evie's perspective and I decided to give it a go. This is how I think Evie thought and the reasons behind why she did the things she did. This is NOT canon, just a fanfiction, and I am not affiliated with Thirteen or Catherine Hardwick in any way.
