Sans pov

*SEVEN YEARS LATER*

Its been seven years since I've see any of the other gods including papyrus I always wonder what there doing and if they miss me or not

I usually just hide in the shadows and watch papyrus and keep him safe from anything even if it looks like I'm not there I am just watching him creepy I know and the only god I see is toriel

I had just left toriels house and decided to go see some old friends I looked around at where I was in a forest I entered a clearing and opened a portal making sure no one was looking and jumped in closing the portal behind me

I looked around I was in a bright white space the anti void I started walking around and saw error sitting down playing with his strings "yo error" you said walking up behind him he jumped spun around with a look that says

'Im gonna smack the shit out of whoever did that'

"Woah woah error calm down its me your old pal death remember" I said quickly as he calmed down

" I SweAr IF YoU eVer Do ThAT AgAIn I Will ShaTTeR YoUR SoUL" his glitchy voice says he sighs before looking at you

"Ey okay remember I don't have a soul Im souless and fix you voice dude" I say annoyance in my tone

"Yeah whatever anyways what brings you here all of a sudden" error says as he stops the glitch in his voice

"And yeah that's about it" I said casually sitting back and relaxing the hood of my cloak still on when we hear a ripping noise we both turn to see a portal opening with a rainbow coloured outline on the ceiling and ink falling through and landing on his back

And someone landing on top of him

"Where is he please please I have to find him" the person begged ink

"GeT OfF InK!!" Error screamed

We both rush to help in error immediately wraps string around there soul and holds them in the air while I go and help ink up

"LET ME GO I HAVE TO FIND MY BROTHER" the person screams while trying to break free

But can't because error is literally a god of the multiverse along with fresh, ink, and blue

"Death is that you?!" The person asks shocked I look to see who it is it's.......

ITS Papyrus my brother

I reacted without thinking quickly summoning my scythe and cutting errors strings letting him fall to the ground gasping for air

"NO GUYS STOP ITS MY BROTHER PAPYRUS!!" I yell making them stop and error retract the rest of his strings I rush towards papyrus and help him up

"Papyrus what are you doing here?! Are you ok? are you hurt!?" I ask frantically tears streaming down my face from not seeing him like this so weak and breathless

I started healing him while trying not to hurt him he ended up fainting so I asked ink to make a bed for him and lift him on the bed and tucking him in and sit down next to him holding his hand tightly

Error and ink walk over I completely forgot they were here error sat down on a chair and started making a new puppet I couldn't see who it was while ink just sat across from me on the other side of the bed where papyrus was I looked at him then back to papyrus

"What happened? Why is he here? He's not supposed to be here? I said not to bring him here so I could keep him safe .................from me so he would hopefully forget about me" I said weakly mumbling the last part under my breath like all the energy had been drained out of me the fact that he is here now doesn't seem real I haven't been close to any other god except tori and she was the only god I trusted ever since I left

Ink sighs before starting knowing I was going to ask this and wanted answers knowing why he's here after I told him to keep him away from me to protect him from my powers because I'm afraid of hurting him

"I went into your au because I was looking for you to ask is you if you could help me and geno out with with moving in his new house and thought no body was around and started looking for you first at your house" he paused before continuing

"When I got there I knocked on the door and your Undyne answered she asked how I was here since I looked like a mortal of there world I was stunned at first but ignored her question and asked if I could see you she asked me how I knew you and I said that you were a friend of mine and I had seen you yesterday to ask if you would help but you didn't show she then grabbed me by the collar of my shirt at started telling at me how I knew you and where you were" he paused again taking in a deep breath

"Then she punched me because I wouldn't tell her where you where you were so she called Asgore and he yelled at me asking where you were and to ask him to come back but I said you didn't want to come back so he summoned lightning and tried to hit me and I blocked it with my paint and I ran but she followed me telling at all the other gods to try and catch me because I knew about you and then they started chasing me too so I kept running but I ran into a dead end and they all cornered me in so I grabbed my brush ready to fight them but then papyrus came a tackled me to the ground and started shaking me asking where you were and how I knew you" he took a look at papyrus and continued

"Then I remembered that you were gone for seven years so I pushed him of me and then Undyne threw a spear at us but it would've hit papyrus knowing you wouldn't want him hurt I painted a sheild with my paintbrush and protected him and me when he asked why I protected him I just said that I knew you and that he was your brother and that he wouldn't want you hurt then I made a portal on the ground and was gonna jump in but he tackled me in and then you know the rest" he said before leaning back in his chair

*TIMESKIP TO WHEN PAPYRUS WAKES UP 2 DAYS LATER*

I haven't left paps side since he came he's been out for 2 days I haven't eaten or slept but I guess I didn't need to being a god

Papyrus started to groan making me jump and hold his hand tighter

"Ugh w-where am i why is this place so white" he said sitting up slowly rubbing his head he turned to see me and his eyes lit up and he jump at me hugging me tightly I feel his tears staining my cloak and he cried on my shoulder I held him close feeling blue tears going down my face remembering the first person to ever make me cry blue tears

Flashback 7 years ago

"well I wanted to tell you how since everything you touch dies I would make something that you can touch that won't die so here" tori said he eyes gleaming in excitement and a bright grin plastered on her face as she handed me a stained glass flower

"it's okay you can touch it it won't wilt or die it's okay" she said trying reassure me to touch it I hesitatly take off my gloves and take the flower not wanting to hurt kill her creations again but surprisingly it doesn't wilt or die I gently run my finger along the petels of the flower and broke down crying glowing blue tears carelessly slid down my face

I made no attempt to stop toriel seeing me crying instantly started panicking "oh no sans do you not like it what's wrong I'm sorry I made you cry please stop crying I'm sorry if you do-" I cut toriel off by saying "no no everything if fine i-it's just that no one's ever done this for me before a-and I've never had something like this it's perfect I'm sorry for worrying you tori I'll make sure nothing bad happens to it I'll cherish it forever" I say and wipe my tears away with my cloak and put the flower in there carefully not to damage it or cause a single scratch

Flashback over

I look at papyrus to see tears still streaming down his face and gently wipe them away with my hand and then he looks sad again

"WHERE WERE YOU BROTHER *SOB* I THOUGHT *HIC* I HAD LOST *HIC* YOU FOREVER YOU WERE *SOB* GONE FOR 7 YEARS *SOB* NEVER DO THAT AGAIN!!" papyrus yelled at me in between sobs and hicups

"It's ok pap it's ok I'm here now" I say while rubbing his back letting him cry on my shoulder

(To early for a time skip I know)

You and papyrus here a ripping noise I get in front of him with my scythe ready to protect him when ink and error jump through the portal and error summons 3 faster blasters and shoots them in the portal pulling ink away from it while ink was smiling like crazy running away laughing and error was saying curse words before closing the portal and starts laughing like crazy

Ink was the first to stop laughing and looked over at me still holding my scythe and saw papyrus awake hiding behind me scared of ink and error

Ink pokes error and points to me then papyrus while I was watching them both closely making sure they didn't try anything on papyrus because they may be two of the gods of the multiverse but they both knew that I would beat them if it came to protecting papyrus

Papyrus slowly came out from behind my back and waved before going back to hiding behind me

"Guys this is my brother papyrus god of friendship papyrus this is ink and error two of the gods of the multiverse both good friends of mine ok" I said introducing them to papyrus this seemed to make papyrus seem more comfortable around them because he came out from behind me and smiled at them before looking back at me

"THIS IS GREAT BROTHER NOW YOU CAN COME BACK HOME YAY THEN YOU CAN MOVE BACK IN THE HOUSE AND WE CAN ALL BE HAPPY AGAIN" he said jumping up and down in excitement

I looked down because I love seeing my brother so happy but I also don't want to hurt any of the others and him again because I'm still afraid of what I'll do to them I might actually kill them this time

"papyrus"

"YES BROTHER WHA- BROTHER WHATS WRONG" he asked concerned

"I can't go back there papyrus"

"BUT WHY BROTHER OF COURSE YOU CAN GO BACK"

"no papyrus I can't go back not after what did last time"

"YES YOU CAN BROTHER IT WILL ALL BE OK YOU CAN STAY WITH ME'' he said

"no papyrus i can't I hurt you all last time I can't go back I'll hurt you all again" I say looking down

"PLEASE BROTHER I KNOW YOU WONT DO IT AGAIN PLEASE COME BACK"

"I'm sorry papyrus I can't go back if I hurt you I'll never forgive myself please papyrus I can't go back I just can't bear the thought of me hurting you again"

"PLEASE BROTHER PLEASE COME BACK I LOST YOU FOR SEVEN YEARS SEVEN YEARS I CANT LOSE YOU AGAIN PLEASE BROTHER COME BACK YOU WONT HURT ME I KNOW IT" he begged tears starting to form in his eyes

"but papyrus I hurt you last time and I lost control and I almost killed Asgore and Undyne I almost killed them what if I lose control again and actually kill someone what if that someone is you" I say with fear

"NO BROTHER YOU DIDNT HURT ME YOU PROTECTED ME YOU SAVED ME FROM ASGORE AND UNDYNES ATTACK YOU SAVE ME METTATON AND ALPHYS YOU PROTECTED US YOU DIDNT HURT US ASGORE AND UNDYNE ARE FINE AS SOON AS THEY GOT UP THEY ORDERED ALL THE GODS TO GO LOOK FOR YOU AND BRING YOU BACK SO THEY COULD APOLOGIZE TO YOU UNDYNE STARTED CRYING BROTHER PLEASE COME BACK'' he begged me tears flowing down his face

I froze at what he said no one has seen Undyne cry before ever I sighed at my brother and opened my arms for a hug and he ran into me accepting the hug

"PLEASE BROTHER COME BACK HOME I CANT LOSE YOU AGAIN

I can't lose you again" he said getting quieter

I sigh knowing I can't have him hurt by me but the thought of losing me compared being hurt by me is a far greater pain to him I rubbed my hand on his back saying comforting words to him

"Okay papyrus I'll come back but none of the other gods are to know about me being back and I get to stay hidden in the shadows OK pap" I say looking at him

"YES YES THANK YOU BROTHER I PROMISE NOBODY ELSE WILL KNOW THAT YOU ARE BACK" he said as he stopped crying and stood up

He turned back to ink and error who are standing there awkwardly listening to our conversation I grinned for the first time in seven years

*TIMESKIP TO THE DAY WHEN SANS IS GOING BACK TO REAPERTALE"

Today was the day that I was going back to reaper tale papyrus has been here for a 2 days so over in it will be round about a week papyrus is so happy that he gets to go back and even more happy that I'm coming back with him and he can't wait

While me on the other hand I'm nervous as hell I never thought about going back so I'm stressing out thinking about how wrong this can go and what happens if they do find out I'm there and try to take papyrus away from me he's the only family that ever believed in me

Papyrus looked over at me clearly seeing that I'm nervous about this walks over and puts a hand on my shoulder and smiles at me "DONT WORRY BROTHER IT WILL ALL BE OKAY YOU WILL BE FINE JUST HIDE IN THE SHADOWS" he says enthusiastically I smiled back before opening a portal to reapertale I look back at ink and error and wave

"I'll catch ya on the flip side guys" I say hearing error groan in annoyance because I sound like fresh sans or as he likes to call him

'90s trash' '90s nightmare' and 'parasite' because he talks like they did in the 90s

They wave good bye and me and papyrus jump in the portal landing on the ground that instantly dies because of my touch I was fine while papyrus looked like he was gonna throw up i help him up and take a look at our surroundings we were behind the kings palace

I help papyrus up but he still looked like was gonna faint so I quickly wrote a note and gave it to papyrus right before he faints and dragged with my magic to the front of the palace door and knock on the door before disappearing into his shadow and the door flew open to reveal Undyne standing there angry but it quickly changed into a look of shock and worry when they see papyrus there after disappearing for over a week

"ASGORE COME OVER HERE I FOUND PAPYRUS QUICK" she yelled out and picked papyrus up and brought him inside placing him down on the bed and started healing him and Asgore ran in and gasped not only from seeing him but also because of my dark aura that was around the room seeing as there healing wasn't working I used my magic to start healing him

Undyne startled stopped and slowly walked back while I continued healing him I made sure the still couldn't see me before I made the note I had written float out of Papyrus's hand and land in front of Undyne she was reading the note outloud

'make sure you take good care of my brother or I swear to the devil that if you don't I will come back and then

your gonna have a BAD time okay good

I just healed him he will be fine and will wake up in about 5 minutes'

~Death

After she read it I went back into his shadow my magic disappearing leaving them shocked Undyne slowly got up and gave the note to Asgore he called the other gods and they all came in the room surprised seeing papyrus back so suddenly

*TIMESKIP TO WHEN PAPYRUS IS AWAKE AND THEY ARE ALL HAVING A MEETING WHILE SANS AND PAPYRUS ARE ALONE*

Asgore and the others went to go discuss what happened so I came out of paps shadow and started floating

"BROTHER WHY DO YOU NOT WANT ANY OF THE OTHER GODS TO SEE YOU" He questioned

"Because I don't know how they will react to me being back but also because I was gone for 7 seven years and never showed up once and they still don't know how I blocked Asgore's lightning attack.....................................And I don't want you taken away from me" I said the last bit quietly but he still heard it

He came over and sat next to where I was floating and made me look at him

"BROTHER YOU WILL NEVER LOSE ME NO MATTER WHAT THEY SAY AND I WILL NEVER BE TAKEN AWAY FROM YOU EVEN IF THEY TELL ME TO STAY AWAY I WONT AND I PROMISE THAT BROTHER"He said honestly

I look at him straight in his eyes and search for any sign that he's lying any sign that he will break his promise but found nothing that he truly means this

"Sans"

"PARDON BROTHER"

"I said sans my real name is sans you can call me sans"

I say to him smiling lightly

"Papyrus"

"YES BRO- I MEAN SANS"

"I will only come out if your life is in danger to protect you. But then I'll go back to your shadow okay"

"OKAY THEN SANS"

"Hey pap"

"YES SANS"

"You remember queen toriel right goddess of life"

"YES I REMEMBER HER KING ASGORE'S WIFE WHO RAN AWAY AND IS NOW MISSING STILL"

"Do you want to go meet her"

"YES PLEASE SANS I WOULD LOVE TO AND THEN SHE WILL GET TO MEET I THE GREAT PAPYRUS"

"okay then come on I'll tell you which way to go and try to avoid the other gods"

"OKAY THEN"

I jump back in his shadow and he slowly gets up and opens the door quickly looking around before walking down the hall and down the stairs and out the door

"Go right"

He starts walking right until he gets to a forest

"Go right till you see a maple tree then turn Left"

"Now go to the river and cross it"

"And now run straight into that tree"

He did as he was told and ran through and into toriels garden but stopped when he saw toriel with fire in her hands ready to defend herself and she threw it at him

I quickly jumped out of his shadow took the hit sending us both flying back I made sure to turn us around so then my back hit the ground hard while I was making sure papyrus was okay

"Tori stop its me sans!" I tell her gasping to get my breath back

"Sans is that you oh dear I'm so sorry please let me heal you but may I ask who he is" she said pointing at pap

"Long story"

Tori and pap are already best friends I take out the flower that tori gave me 7 years ago its still as beautiful as ever but it now has a golden glow Everytime you touch it and still doesn't have a single scratch

"SANS"

"Yeah bro"

"I WAS READING A BOOK ONE DAY AND IT SAID THAT SOME GODS IF THERE IS A CLOSE BOND BETWEEN THE TWO THAT IF ONE GOD DIES THAT THE OTHER GOD CAN SOMETIMES FEEL THERE PAIN TO IS THIS TRUE"

"heh actually pap it is like how me you and toriel have a close bond as friends if one of you gets hurt I'll feel it too and be able to teleport to you guys and make sure that whoever hurt you guys"

"Have a time"

I said my eye slowly flickering at the thought of them getting hurt

"Anyways pap I think it's time we head back now k"

I said trying not to get paps in trouble

"INDEED SANS GOODBYE QUEEN TORIEL WE WILL COME BACK WHENEVER WE CAN"

"okay then sans and papyrus until next time we meet again I look forward to our next meeting"

She said waving goodbye

I teleport us both back home it was already dark so pap got ready for bed while I sat down on the couch

Today was one weird day and tomorrow's probably gonna be even weirder but I have this weird feeling that something bass gonna happen tomorrow

I was snapped out of my thoughts as papyrus walked down the stairs holding his little stuffed rabbit in his arms

"SANS"

"Yes bro"
