《You Can Do It Chongyun! [School AU]》Chapter 7: An Apology
Advertisement
The weekend passed and Xingqiu chose not to have that sleepover with Chongyun. It hurt Chongyun to have his best friend avoid him. Especially because he didn't know the reasoning. But he couldn't focus on that now. He needed to figure out how to ask the most perfect boy in the world out. That was his only concern, even though it should've been on something else.
Xingqiu stayed home from school. He didn't want to go. His mom let him considering this was odd, usually Xingqiu loved going to school. She was honestly worried about her son, but let him do his own thing for the time being. She also let him stay with the understanding that all they were going to be doing was preparing for a Valentine's Day festival.
When Xingqiu wasn't at school is when Chongyun got worried. It when realization hit him that it was his fault. But did Xingqiu really have feelings so strong for him that Chongyun lying about not having feelings hurt him so bad.
His mind fought over itself the whole day, until he finally decided he'd go to Xingqiu's on Wednesday or Thursday. Perfect if he was going to ask him out on Friday.
Wednesday quickly came, much to Chongyun's dismay, and still not Xingqiu. That was it, he couldn't hold it in anymore, he needed to see his best friend again he didn't care about anything else anymore.
The day drug on a lot longer than he would've hoped. But as soon as that bell rang he made sure to be the first one out and made his way to Xingqiu's house, running as fast as he possibly could. He rang the doorbell, super out of breath. Xingqiu opened the door, dressed in nothing but Chongyun's oversized hoodie. "Hello—Chongyun? What are you doing here?," He asked, furrowing his eye brows, looking up and down at his best friend.

"I'm here for you Xingqiu," He smiled, reaching out for a hug. "I missed you so much and I haven't seen you since Friday last week, and I'm sorry for being stupid, I don't deserve you and all of your perfection," Chongyun began to cry, Xingqiu going to hug him tightly.
"I'm far from perfect...but thank you Chongyun, I don't deserve you either, come in I'll make you some tea," He held the boys hand, taking him to the table, but Chongyun just wanted to stay clung to Xingqiu, so that's what he did.
When Xingqiu finished making the tea Chongyun sat down and pulled Xingqiu in his lap, he nuzzled his face into the crook of Xingqiu's neck, a smile on his face. "You smell incredible," He murmured, closing his eyes. "I just wanna stay like this forever...I'm sorry for ever driving you away Xing," He apologized, yawning softly.
"It's okay Yun yun, I forgive you," He smiled, closing his eyes as well. "Finish your tea and then we can cuddle in my room okay?," He asked, Chongyun nodding.
"Yessir!," He smiled, drinking mostly cooled down tea.
He finished the tea rather quickly, already prepared to go and snuggle. Xingqiu slid off his lap, going to wash the tea cup before leading Chongyun upstairs. Chongyun took off his jacket and slid into the bed, followed by the already very comfy and cozy Xingqiu. Chongyun wrapped his arms around him, closing his eyes. He missed this and he missed Xingqiu. He needed this, the closeness and snuggles. The warmth they both felt in the others embrace.
Only 2 days. 2 days and then he'd make his love for Xingqiu known. Two days and nothing else will matte it'll just be them, both of them, loving each other regardless. And Chongyun couldn't wait to call the boy his. His only problem was the proposal. Even so, deep down he knew, as long as it was with Xingqiu, it would be perfect.
This series is going to be over soon, any suggestions for a new book? Or should I make another Chongyun x Xingqiu one?

Only the White Magic and it's ally the Sun could stand against such a vast enemy. From their home in the Valley of the Sun the great tribe of Elves could only watch as the monumental fight unfolded. Within their Vales, behind thick stone walls and under powerful domes of magic, they were protected from the onslaught upon the earth. The Elves watched for thousands upon thousands of turns as the war raged overhead. The Fell Ice against the Sun and the White Magic were locked in a struggle lasting for an age, with neither side claiming victory as the earth was ravaged. In time the Fell Ice retreated, as it had so many times in the past. This time, as the earth warmed around them, the Elves remained secluded from the world in their hidden Vales.
