I woke up hearing an ringing phone. I look at the nightstand beside me seeing it was mines. It was Lani facetiming me. Once I answered Lani said "Bitch why you ain't answering the door". Then she started squinting in the camera saying "Uhhh Uhhh hoe that ain't your room". "Lani it's too damn early for you to be yelling" I said.

"Girl it is twelve in the afternoon" she said. "OHHH MY GOD I GOT AN CLIENT AT 12:30" I jumped up from the bed and said. I could hear the shower running so I knew Key had to be in there. "Use the spare key, I should be there in about twenty minutes" I told her.

"Okay hoe and your ass telling me the tea when you get here" she said before hanging up.

I gathered all my stuff together before leaving out the room. I wasn't going to let Key know I was leaving because it was just sex and nothing more. I'm pretty sure we won't be seeing each other again.

Before heading home I stopped by CVS to get a plan b and some ibuprofen. I can't believe I got tore up off my ass knowing I have four heads to do today. I texted my 12:30 client and told them to come in later and that i'll refund their deposit.

Once I made it home my puppy Coco ran up to me. "Heyy mommy baby" I said while picking her up. "Where's your auntie Lani" I said talking in a baby voice.

"BITCH YOUR ASS GOT DICK" Lani yelled noticing the limp I had. "How y'all go from arguing all night to fuckkin" she said laughing.

I started walking to the kitchen to get a water to take the plan b and ibuprofen. "Bitch spill the damn tea" she said while following behind me. "It was amazingggg" I dragged out. "Yasssmy bitch finally got her some" she squealed. "But bitch it ain't happening again it was just a one time thing" I said while frowning.

"Lyric what's going to happen once you start catch feelings for somebody" "Your just going to brush them off" she said lecturing me. "Laniiii" I dragged not wanting to have this conversation for the hundredth time already. "You know my reasoning every encounter I had with a nigga always didn't end well" I told her. "Not every nigga is the same" she told me . "I hear you but I have to get ready to head to the salon" I said. "You look cute bestieeee" I said smiling at Lani. She was wearing a white two piece set paired with a Gucci purse and Gucci slides. "This ass look fat best" she asked me. "As always" I said while walking towards my room.

I turnt on my speaker going to my apple music to play

I sung lowly. "Hmmm" I mumbled looking for something to wear. I finally settled on a white two piece set. "Now this nigga ain't have to fuck my lace up like that" I said while looking at myself in the mirror. I just decided to take it off and wear my natural hair today. While I was getting dressed my music got interrupted by somebody texting me.

"Who ever just texted me finna get cussed out" I said. "Who tf" I said seeing a number that I didn't recognize.

"ALANIIII CHANELL WHITEEE IMMA BEAT YOUR ASS" I yelled. I started running downstairs where Lani was. She hopped up off the couch running. "Come here hoe and catch this fade" I yelled chasing behind her. "LEAVE ME ALONEEEE" she yelled. "Lani i'm too out of shape to be running behind your big headed ass" I told her while putting my hands on my knees breathing hard.

"Lani why would you give him my numberrrr" I dragged out. "Best because he threatened to not to sell to me no more if I didn't and he the only nigga I shop with" she told me while pouting. I just stared at her she said that shit like I actually suppose to gave a fuck. "Lani I told you i'm not tryna to take nobody serious" I told her.

"It don't necessarily have to be a relationship y'all could just fuck with no strings attached" she told me. "I don't know Lani that's too messy but I have to get going" "Are you coming to shop with me" I asked her. "Yesss because I have an appointment with Tory. She was talking bout the nail tech that works at my shop.

"Heyy, guys" I said to everyone in the shop. "Let me know when my 1:30 comes in" I told Shay the receptionist. I headed to my office to lock my purse up. Since I had extra time I decided to get on instagram.

I heard someone knock on the door. "Come in" I said. "Your client is here" Shay told me. "Okay thanks have them go to my station" I told her. Once I walked out I was looking down at my phone causing me to bump into a hard chest. "I'm so sorry" I said while picking my phone up off the floor. I look up to see it was Key. I scoffed ready to go off on him. "You can't be popping up to my place of business" I told him.

"Mannn son nobody worried bout your stuck up ass" "My daughter here to get her hair done" he told me. I rolled my eyes then walked away to go tend to my client. Which I realized was his daughter. She was so pretty she looked about two and her hair was so thick and long. I done slept with this man not knowing shit about him. "Do you know how you want it styled" I asked Key. "Nahh I trust you to do your shit" he told me. I was just going to wing it when I start.

"Daddy did you bring my ipad" the little girl asked him. "Merie I told you too grab it off the charger" he told her. The little girl began to pout. Then I realized I had mines in my office. "You can just ask Lani to get mines out of my office" I told him. I began parting her hair. Watching him stand up. "How old are you cutie" I asked her. "Two" she told me smiling. I loved kids but I don't plan on having any no time soon. "I could've sworn I told you to ask Lani to go in" I said to Key after he walked out of my office.

"Tell ha thank you" he told Merie. "Thank you Ms.Lyric" she said to me. "Your welcome sweetie" I told her. "So you didn't see my text ma" Key said looking up at me. "Can we talk about this later" I told him. He did a lil smirk. "You switch your hair up fast I could've sworn you had a different style in last night" he said while smirking.

Then I hear Lani east dropping ass bust out damn laughing. This bitch so damn messy.

I didn't even know what to say he had my ass on hush. I just focused on getting her hair done fast. About fifteen minutes later I was done and started to clean up my station for my next client. "How much I owe you ma" Key asked me. "Fifty" I told him. He handed me two hundred dollar bills. "Key this is too much" I told him. Trying to give him the money back. "It's a tip for your service ma" he said. "Bitch if you don't take it I will" Lani said while walking over. I just took the money to get him to leave.

"How many heads you got left" he asked me. "Why" I asked with my face scrunched up. "Listen Key that was a one time thing" "I'm not interested" I told him. Key wasn't the type to chase no female but the vibe he got from Lyric was different from any bitch he ever fucked with. It was weird to him because he never felt like this bout no female. Not even his baby moms and they was in a five year relationship.

"Ight" he said. "Merie let's go you have to give Lyric her ipad back" he told Merie. She walked over handing me the ipad. "Hold on wait" I told Key making him stop. I always kept gifts at the shop for the kids. I walked to the back and got a baby doll for Merie. "Here you go" I told Merie. She smiled while running up hugging me. "Thank you, Thank you sooo much" she told me. "Your welcome pretty girl" I smiled at her.

Three hours past by and I was finally done with all my clients for the day. I looked at my phone checking the time seeing it was I had got Tae one of my stylist to do me a quick install after I finished up with my clients. I made sure the shop was up to part for tomorrow and that the alarm was on.

My feet were killing me. I couldn't wait to get in bed and cuddle with my Coco. Once I made it home I took a quick shower. Then decided to make me some cup noodles.

While I waited for my noodles to get done. I got on instagram to post my clients pictures.

I got off and grabbed my noodles out of the microwave. I stirred them around then added some hot sauce. Now I was about to watch Stranger Things on Netflix.

Once I pressed play for the show to start my phone started ringing. Lani better be in a life or death damn situation. Assuming it was her without looking at the caller id I answered. "Bitch what you want" I said. "Watch yo fuckkin mouth Lyric real talk" a deep voice said. I snatched my phone off the bed mugging the phone seeing Key on facetime. "First of all I thought you was Lani and second why the hell you calling my phone" I said while mugging the phone. As much as I try to play so hard for this man I get a weird feeling in my stomach about him not necessarily a bad feeling.

"You look so pretty mamas" he told me. I moved out the camera so he couldn't see me blushing. "Ain't nobody call to see the damn roof Lyric" he said while mugging the phone. "Ain't nobody tell your ass to call anyways" I told him. "I see your ass still on the phone tho" he said while smirking. I rolled my eyes at him.

"Wya" I asked him. "The mall finna get ready to leave" he told me. "At 9 o'clock at night, yeahh you up to no good" I told him. "Shutup" he told me while chuckling. He was looking good asl he was wearing a red beanie with a long sleeve Givenchy shirt on and he had his chain on to set it off. I definitely was drooling over him. I looked back at the phone seeing him look up. "If y'all niggas ain't at the car when I get there y'all asses getting left on me" I heard him say. I started laughing.
