"So, how's my brother?" Rosalie asks as Klaus walked to her from being on the phone to her brother
"Difficult as usual." He says and Rosalie wraps her arms around him.
"Well, it's a Salvatore thing, trust me." She says and rambles about how and why it's a Salvatore thing and Klaus smiles
"Go on a date with me." He says and she abruptly stops talking.
"What?"
"Well, we haven't actually went on a date so how about we go on a date." Klaus says
"Sure, I would absolutely love to go on a date with you." She says and their lips meet.

"So, you're going on a date with my brother?" Rebekah asks from over the phone
"Yes and I heard you're going on a date with Maya." Rosalie says
"And seemingly Elijah is getting ready for something." Rebekah says and they pause.
"Date with Gabby." They say together
"Rosalie, this is my first date with a girl." Rebekah admits
"Aw, sweetie. It will be fine, Maya is likes you a lot and I mean she asks how you are to me the second I step into her house. Do you like her?" Rosalie asks.
"A lot." Rebekah smiles
"Just because Nik has an official soulmate doesn't mean you don't deserve the same love and affection like he has and Maya adores you and your Mikaelson Charm so you have nothing to worry about." Rosalie tells her.
"Mikaelson Charm?" She asks
"Yeah, you all have it." Rosalie says
"I am not going to ask further questions about that." Rebekah says.
"That's probably the best." Rosalie says and then Rebekah has to go and they say their goodbyes and Rosalie flops onto the bed and then squeals. She was going on a date.

Then she gets a call from Maya and answers it
"I have a date with Rebekah and I'm nervous." Maya says with panic laced in her voice
"Tell me what you're nervous about." Rosalie says.

Klaus was waiting on Rosalie and then turns his head and the door opens to reveal his soulmate
"I'm sorry I took so long, Maya and Rebekah are going on a date and were nervous as hell." Rosalie says and Klaus stops any sudden movement as he looks at her in awe.
"Why are you looking at me like that?"
"Because you're beautiful, gorgeous, not enough words can describe you and your beauty." He says breathlessly and she blushes and bites her lip and he walks up to her and pulls her bottom lip out of her teeth and tucks a piece of hair behind her ear and then brings his lips up to her ear.
"We haven't been on they date yet and I'm already about to loose control." He says and she nods and kisses him
"Then let's go." She whispers and they walk out of the hotel.

"Nik, you've taken me for an amazing meal, what else did you plan?" Rosalie asks as they walk to surprise that Klaus planned
"Rosalie, I've told you it's a surprise." He chuckles and then covers her eyes.
"Nik, I love you but my trust issues say no." She says.
"Love, I'm your soulmate. You can trust me." Klaus reassures
"Really, would you trust me if I did that?" Rosalie asks and Klaus stays silent
"No comment." He says and she smiles and then he uncovers her eyes.
When she opens her eyes she sees a beautiful flower field with multi coloured flowers brightening up the field and Klaus hands Rosalie her polaroid and she takes a picture of it and then kisses him on the lips and then he holds out his hand and she gladly takes it and he leads her towards the field of flowers.

Rosalie and Klaus were like the sun and moon, there wasn't anyone better for them than each other, they love each other and will continue to love each other. Always and Forever.

Rosalie and Klaus walk back into the hotel room and start to kiss and then pull away breathlessly and Klaus starts to kiss her neck and then pulls away and looks down
"Nik, when was the last time you drank blood?" Rosalie asks quietly.
"I had a blood bag couple days ago." He says and she moves her hair and gestures to her neck and he shakes his head and Rosalie makes him look at her.
"Nik, I love and trust you, you won't hurt me." She softy reassures and then kisses her on the neck and then Rosalie feels a sharp pain and then it turns into pleasure and then Klaus bites his arm and she drinks from him and he groans and she pulls away.
"You know I'm a phoenix and I heal." She says
"Yeah but that was way more enjoyable." He says and then they kiss and Rosalie pushes Klaus on the bed and then gets on top of him.

In the city of Kholakel, the highlight of the year for the upper classes is the annual monster pacification of the misty woods. This was an attempt at writing something darker than my usual fare. The story I actually ended up with isn't as mean to the MC as I'd originally planned out, to the point that I'm not sure the story deserves the horror/grimdark tags anymore, but this is still an unfair world with unambiguously evil antagonists. Chapters are short to start with, but get longer once the first act is over.

A lot of similar stories I've read make me ask "what kind of game would work like that?" Sometimes believable gameplay elements give way for a more immersive story, but I hope to make that as balanced as possible rather than going for cheap thrills. Well, I guess we will just see how this goes.
