"What are we doing?" Maya asks

"So there's something called The Five and there's something about disappearing tattoos that Jeremy and I can see but he's a potential hunter but I am not and no one else can see the damn mark." Rosalie says.

"Okay then." Maya says and Rosalie then flops on the bed looking up at the ceiling

"Okay, I give up. Maya how's your love life?" Rosalie says

"None existent." Maya says

"So, nothing's changed." Rosalie says

"Yep, sounds about right." Maya says and they laugh.

Rosalie then gets a text from Jeremy about the tattoo and what Klaus wants to do

"Ugh, I have to go." Rosalie groans

"Why?" Maya groans

"Because Nik is threatening Jeremy about the tattoo, so, bye. Love ya." Rosalie says as she kisses Maya's cheek and walks out the house.

"Klaus." Rosalie calls into the house and then sees Connor tied up and Jeremy, Klaus and Stefan there and Klaus turns around and tries to contain a calm expression

"I liked it better when you called me Nik." He says

"Didn't I say not to use Jeremy without telling me what you're doing and I can see the fucking tattoo." Rosalie says terrifyingly calm.

"Is she always this scary calm?" Jeremy whispers to Stefan

"Yes, you know you are going to be dead if she starts to laugh." He whispers back

"So, how about Jeremy and I work on the tattoo and you both do whatever it is you do?" Rosalie suggests.

"You set me up at the hospital, led me into a trap. Why?" Connor asks

"You were trying to hurt people who are important to me." Jeremy says

"Important to you? That vampire just threatened to kill you. I don't understand how you see the tattoo if you're a sympathiser." Connor says.

"He's a hybrid, the original hybrid and he's now not threatening to kill him so." Rosalie trails off

"What exactly do you understand? Cause a couple days ago, you seemed to have all the answers and now you know jack. Where did this tattoo come from? How and why only Rosalie and I can see it?" Jeremy asks.

"Years ago, I met someone with the mark, he claimed he had this intense desire to kill vampires like it was ingrained in his DNA. He told me the same thing I told you, if I could see the mark, I was a potential." Connor tells them.

"Who was he?" Jeremy asks

"Just a guy I served in Iraq with, I lost track of him and then one day, the tattoo just showed up on me. It started on my hand but the more vampires I killed, the more it spread like it was trying to tell me something I just don't know what." Connor says.

"So, how can I see the tattoo?" Rosalie asks

"You're a phoenix, correct? Well, phoenixes have evolved from their true bird selfs like disguising themselves as mortals and when they did, like their bird selves they held genuine beauty or handsomeness and soon the five came to where they were for vampires and then they found out the ability for the tattoo invisible was not there and hell broke loose." Connor says.

"Phoenixes aren't just birds of fire, they are like any other supernatural creature. Monsters. And then the Dark Phoenix was born and a darkness has lived in ever single one of Phoenixes and soon the darkness lives inside of you, Rosalie will kill everyone and it will kill you too. So I don't know why I'm the one tied up here because all I'm doing is putting people out of the misery that you, Rosalie Salvatore will put not just them but everyone in." Connor finishes.

Jeremy looks at Connor like he's crazy and then looks back at Rosalie and becomes horrified when she begins to hysterically laugh

"Stefan, Rosalie going to kill Connor." Jeremy whispers hoping Stefan was listening as Rosalie was still laughing and walks up to him and punches him in the face.

"And that wasn't even my phoenix strength." She says and walks to the door

"Where are you going?" Jeremy asks

"Somewhere to be alone." Rosalie says and leaves and Jeremy looks at Connor

"She could have killed you. You would have deserved it."

Klaus walks into the room to check how the tattoo sketch is doing

"Is this it?" He asks

"Yeah he says every time he kills a vampire more of it shows up." Jeremy says

"Where's Rosalie?" He asks.

"Well, Connor told her about why she can see the tattoo which lead me to think she was going to kill him due to the laughing and she is now somewhere alone." Jeremy says and Klaus walks towards Connor.

"What did you say?" He asks slowly

"The truth." Connor smiles.

Klaus walks up the hill to see Rosalie sitting there on her jacket making the roses grow and he doesn't say anything but just lays his jacket on the ground beside her and then takes her in his arms and Rosalie closes her eyes and a tear falls down her pale face.

"I grew up reading fairytales, I always wanted someone to love me like the princes loved the princesses, when my mother died and every girl got to get ready for marriage and I sat there in my window just with my thoughts wondering why I couldn't be like that. I used to think the reason why he always did what he did to me was out of love, sometimes I still act like showing my anger is the same way I loved Juliana so much that I threw a glass at her, how fucked up is that?" She asks and Klaus just sat there comforting her.

"I always thought I didn't deserve love and then I died. When I found out what I was, I was immediately told that hell would break loose and I felt like a monster and what Connor told me proves that it will happen. It doesn't matter if it's in 3 centuries or 3 months, Nik. It is going to happen." Rosalie says.

And they sat there for hours until the sun came up, they didn't need to talk just sit there enjoying each others company.
