The Mikaelson's are getting ready for the ball, Rebekah is getting her nails done and her brothers are getting suits fitted while Rosalie is on her phone

"Rebekah, tell me how handsome I am." Kol says looking at her through the mirror

"Oh, Kol, you know I can't be compelled." She says and then he looks at Rosalie.

"Don't even think about it." Rosalie says

"What?" He asks and Rosalie looks at him

"So who's your date?" He asks

"I hope Nik." Right after she said that Klaus comes into the room.

"Speak of the devil and he shall appear." Rosalie smiles up at him

"You went after Elena. What is wrong with you?" He asks his sister

"What's wrong with her is the fact she didn't let me go." Rosalie says and then tunes out the conversation and then once the whole thing over she stands up.

"I'm going to see Caroline, please tell Nik where I am so he doesn't worry."

"So there's a ball?" Caroline asks

"Yes." Rosalie says,

"Are you going to go? I mean are you sure you're going to be okay? I mean you hate big parties like this." She asks.

"I'm fine and I have to support Nik and you have to meet his mother." Rosalie says.

"Is this the mother who you don't trust?" Caroline asks

"I need to make sure my hunch isn't just a hunch." She says and then there's a knock at the door and Rosalie goes down stairs and sees two boxes with cards and she brings them upstairs.

"What is in it?" Caroline asks

"Well, I don't have X-ray vision I hate to break it to you." She says and they open the cards.

Please join the Mikaelson Family this evening at seven O'clock for dancing, cocktails and celebration.

The invitation says and then it has something on the back from Klaus.

"Well, what does it say on the back?" Caroline asks and Rosalie passes it to her and she squeals

"I am the matchmaker." Caroline says and Rosalie looks at her

"What? If it wasn't for me telling you admit it, I wouldn't be getting a thank you gift." She says.

"Fine, thank you Caroline for making me realise that I have feelings for Nik." Rosalie says

"Lets get ready." Caroline says.

Caroline and Rosalie walk into the Mikaelson Mansion and look around in awe

"Go find him." Caroline says and Rosalie reluctantly goes to find her soulmate.

Rosalie finds Klaus talking to someone and he turns his head and they make eye contact and it's like they were the only ones in the room. He excuses himself and walks over to Rosalie

"You are the most beautiful woman I have ever seen." He says

"You are the most handsome man I have ever seen." She says, Klaus goes to say something about the invitation when they hear Elijah.

"If everyone could gather please." Elijah says and Klaus goes to the steps and Rosalie goes to let go of his hand when he looks at

"Love, you are my soulmate. It's okay." He assures

"I'm fine here." She says.

"Rosalie, love, get your pretty arse up here before I make you." Rebekah innocently smiles and Rosalie goes up the steps and Klaus looks at her dumbfounded and she smiles at him

"She called my ass pretty." She says and he chuckles and wraps his arm around her waist and hands her a glass.

"Welcome. Thank you for joining us. You know, whenever my mother brings our family together like this it's a tradition for us to commence the evening with a dance. Tonight's pick is a centuries old waltz. So if all of you could find yourselves a partner, please join us in the ballroom." Elijah says and Klaus turns to Rosalie

"Will you do me the honours?" He asks holding out his hand

"Of course." She smiles.

"Another one of you many talents?" He asks as they dance

"Yes but I've been using the 'I can't dance' excuse on Caroline so I don't have to do Miss Mystic Falls but now I can't use it anymore." Rosalie says.

"Where is Russell because he wasn't in our room?" Klaus asks

"He's with Maya, she's trying to get girls when they go on a walk." Rosalie says and he laughs as well and she spins into Elijah's arms.

"Rosalie." He says and she smiles

"Do you trust me?" She asks and he looks at her

"What?" He questions.

"Do you trust me?" She repeats

"Yes." He answers

"Can I set you up on a blind date or just meet one of my friends?" She says hopefully.

"Why?" He further questions

"Because you are very handsome and I have the perfect girl for you." Rosalie says

"Sure." He says

"You are the best soulmate brother thing." She says and spins into Kol's arms.

"Hello, Darling." He smiles

"Hi." She smiles

"So, you are may brother's soulmate, pity you aren't mine." He winks and Rosalie rolls her eyes.

"I heard you are setting up Elijah, what about me?" He asks

"Sorry, I only have two friends and one of them is gay." Rosalie says and the song ends and he kisses her hand.

"You are trying to make your brother jealous, aren't you." Rosalie says

"Yes and thank you for the help." He whispers to her and walks away.

Rosalie looks around the room when her breathing starts to get heavy and tries to calm down and then finds Klaus and walks to him and he looks at her and wraps his arm around her

"You okay, love?" He whispers in her ear noticing her destress.

When the sound of his voice reaches Rosalie's ears she instantly calms and leans into his touch feeling now at peace

"Yeah." She softly says and Klaus kisses the side of her head.

"Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. Waiters are coming around with champagne, I invite you all to join me in raising a glass." Esther begins and Klaus hands Rosalie a glass and then wraps his arm around her waist again.

"It provides me with no greater joy than to see my family back together as one. I'd like to thank you all for being part of this spectacular evening. Cheers." Esther finishes

"Cheers." The guests repeat and they all take a sip from their glass.

"I need to show you something." Klaus whispers into her ear.

"So this is what I wanted to show you." Klaus says as they walk into his art room

"These are amazing." She says looking at sketches and paintings and then turns around

"What's that?" Rosalie asks looking at a piece of tarp coving the wall

"Just something I've been working on." He says and Rosalie pulls the tarp off to reveal drawings and paintings.

Words could not even describe how she was feeling, but it wasn't in a negative way.

"This is like 50 First Dates." Rosalie says

"50 First whats?" Klaus asks and Rosalie laughs and kisses him and then hands him a piece of folded paper and he unfolds it to reveal a drawing.

But before Klaus could ask Rosalie answers

"It was the first day of school, I didn't know what I was doing and I get kept drawing that's why I got so scared when you said I sent you a drawing because that's it." Rosalie rambles and Klaus kisses her

"It's perfect." He says and Rosalie kisses him.

The kiss starts to heat up and Klaus presses Rosalie against a wall when there's a noise and Rosalie accidentally bites Klaus' lip and they pull away

"Oh my god, I am so sorry." She says and looks at his lip that is now healed.

"I am going to kill your brother." Klaus says and they both walk down to where the noise came from to see Kol passed out and Damon standing there.

"What are you crazy?" Stefan asks and Elena runs outside

"Maybe a little." Damon says and then turns to see Rosalie and Klaus

"Oh, look at the happy couple with a big secret." Damon says and Elena turns to Rosalie.

"What does he mean?" Elena asks and before she could answer Damon does

"The reason Rosalie is important is because she is Klaus' soulmate." He says and Stefan speeds to his brother

"What the hell is wrong with you, that is our sister." He says and Damon pushes him.

"Stop!" Elena calls and Rosalie tries to stop her from getting involved but instead accidentally burns Elena.

"Rosalie!" She yells

"I am so sorry." Rosalie says and tries to walk to her to see the burn but Damon speeds in front of Elena

"Stay away from her." He says.

The look in his eyes and they way he looked at his sister will haunt her forever, the look of hatred and disgust.

Rosalie tries to hide her tears and walks away and goes to her and Klaus' bedroom

"It's not my fault, it's not my fault, it's not my fault, it is, it is my fault." Rosalie repeats and Klaus walks into the room and sees his soulmate in such destress and leads her to the bed and crouches in front of her.

"It is not your fault, trust me." Klaus says and hugs her and kisses her shoulder

"How about we change out of our clothes and put on comfy ones and go for a drive, hmm?" Klaus asks and Rosalie gives him a teary smile and nods and he helps her out of her dress and gives her one of his hoodies and shorts and then he gets changed.

"Okay, let's go out the window." He says and she looks at him

"No. Not happening." Rosalie says

"I'll catch you, love." Klaus says and she rolls her eyes and Klaus jumps out the window and she runs to the window to see him standing there.

"I know I can't actually die but this is not the way to go." Rosalie says

"Love, come on." Klaus says and she rolls her eyes and jumps out the window and Klaus catches her with ease

"I think I just had a heart attack." She says.

"I guessed that because you are digging your nails into my shoulders." Klaus says and she let go of him

"Why are we sneaking out your house?" Rosalie asks

"Just incase there is still guests." He says and leads her to his car.

Rosalie loves car rides, she usually gets trapped in her own mind when there's music and the whole world disappears, where she finally felt at peace, she would usually play with Klaus' hand or Klaus would have his hand on her thigh.

"Are you feeling better?" Klaus asks

"Yeah, thank you, it's just the way he looked at me...he looked at me like I was a..." Rosalie trails off

"Monster? I understand." He says

"I mean I Probably deserved it, I now know what Stefan felt or didn't feel." Rosalie says.

"I'm setting Elijah up with Gabriella and I might set up Maya with Rebekah." Rosalie says

"And do my siblings know about this?" Klaus asks

"Elijah knows I'm setting him up with someone, Rebekah doesn't." She says and Klaus chuckles.

"How are they going to meet?" He asks

"Well, at some point I need to try on uniforms for cheer and I was going to have a sleepover at mine or I was going to ask you." Rosalie says

"Yes you can use my house for your sleepover, only if I can see you in the uniforms." Klaus says squeezing her thigh.

"Thank you." Rosalie says and kisses his shoulder

"No problem." He says and Rosalie looks out the window and slowly shuts her eyes and slips into a peaceful sleep.
