Ambrosia giggled despite herself as she slipped downwards from Edwards grasp, feet hitting solid ground and only then did she notice her absence of shoes though she oddly didn't mind- there was nothing uncomfortable now about standing barefoot against the forest floor and after her analysis- her eyes reached his golden ones, seeing his grin as he locked his fingers with hers, encouraging her to race alongside him into the thick trees.
The newborn didn't need much encouragement to run, laughter bubbling from her lips as she leapt easily over everything in her path, vaguely aware of the way that Edward took a different approach, dodging anything that cut off his run though she was mostly in a state of awe as she stared around her. Edward, shockingly, had to restrain himself as they ran, finding that she was the slowest newborn he had ever come across though there was something so oddly endearing about her Bambi style sprint as she gripped his fingers again mid-run.
"Okay" Edward breathed, freezing to a halt and chuckling as he grabbed her around the waist, spinning the pair of them on the spot to stop her from running any further. "This is far enough" he laughed into her ear, finding her pout of response incredibly adorable as he placed her on her own two feet once more. Ambrosia Hatton was undoubtedly the most beautiful person Edward Cullen had ever seen, every inch of her was perfected in vampirism, and he himself found her to have been perfect even before transition so now, he was in a state of awe as he looked down into her rose-red eyes that he'd always previously found unnerving- eyes that now warmed his heart completely to see. They were gorgeous on her.
"Right, okay... Now what?" she questioned to him excitably, bouncing on the spot where they stood in a small clearing. She felt completely full of energy and he chuckled at her excitement, placing his hands gently on her shoulders to direct her attention to him once more. Ambrosia was overwhelmed, rose-coloured orbs darting around between the world around her with a brilliant fascination that made Edward smile. She was overjoyed, which was something he hadn't expected to find but adored it nonetheless.

"Close your eyes" he breathed it so lowly but she heard easily and her eyelids snapped shut so fast that the transition was unnoticeable, her smile never slipped from its position as her hearing took hold, though she was noticeably distracted by the sparks that flew through her body from the man whose hands held her shoulders calmly. "Listen carefully for an animal, Rosia."
"What do I do when I hear one?" she questioned quietly, as though if she spoke loudly it would scare all the woodland creatures away from her.
"Just do what feels right, we're made for this. I'll be right behind you" he promised and his hands slipped from her shoulder calmly, making her frown, the brunette having been enjoying the sensational feel of their new matching temperatures. one thing that Ambrosia noticed in this new form was that she got distracted incredibly quickly, there was so much to pay attention to that every time she tried to pay attention to one thing, more things demanded her interest. "Focus Baby" he ordered and she hummed out a groan as she opened her ears up, needing not to strain even in the slightest to hear far into the forest.
That was when she heard it, the hammering heartbeat of a doe fighting to keep itself alive as it grazed through the forest, breath huffing softly and feet making little noise as it relaxed in the peculiarly warm day. Then, she noticed the smell. Ambrosia was completely against killing animals, it felt like an awful thing to do especially to something as innocently sweet as a doe but the second she smelt its blood, she didn't have control over her actions anymore.
Her eyes flashed open at the speed of light and before she even had the chance to spare her boyfriend a second glance, her legs were speeding out from underneath her, sending her shuttling through the trees once more like a comet. She was completely oblivious to the noise of Edward following her as she tackled the doe easily and her teeth sliced through the soft flesh of the animal. The blood was addicting the second it hit her tongue and each gulp was like heaven- some part of her mind, the part that held onto being human even now was disgusted in her but it was far too mesmerising of a taste to ever deny.

It seemed to Ambrosia that the second she sunk her teeth into it, it was empty and she leapt to her feet with an elegance she never thought it possible to possess. When her eyes whipped around to face Edward again, they were exhilarated and he chuckled at her, shooting her a famous crooked smile as he leant against a tree calmly, arms folded. Ambrosia stalked toward him as though he were one of the creatures she wished to devour and his eyes crinkled in confusion as she finally leapt at him.
The mind reader laughed loudly, the sound bouncing off of the trees all around as his little mate landed in his arms, her tighs bound tightly around his waist like a python as she snaked her slender arms around his neck. Edward hummed in appreciation as his lips found hers and it was different from anything they'd ever experienced before as they kissed with such a deep burning passion that their bodies seemed to light up just under the sensation. Just when Edward had braced her back against the tree, did she pull away with pure excitement.
"Let's find another one" she breathed out happily, not even slightly out of the breath and he huffed as he dropped his head into her neck, not sure whether to groan because she'd cut off their moment or laugh at her back and forth mood swings. One thing was for certain... Eternity with Ambrosia was going to be one hell of a ride...
