《✔️Ambrosia (Edward Cullen) BOOK ONE》43-"So Ordinary"

Ambrosia Hatton hummed to herself gently as she walked the aisles of the supermarket- the store was considerably empty and she put it down to the fact that the rain hammered so incessantly beyond the windows. The brunette humans green eyes sparkled as she glanced around and it felt so completely normal, being there- As if she hadn't just packed and left her old home in a snap decision.

The one thing that was out of the ordinary, however, was Edward Cullen who looked around as if he had never been inside a supermarket before as he pushed the trolley along with a blank expression. The girl- who walked a few feet ahead of him, whipped around and grinned quite suddenly and it made him chuckle as she danced over to his side. Ambrosia was only like this with him- her bubbly excitable personality was painfully reserved when they were in another's company.

"What?" he questioned with a low laugh as he wrapped his arm easily around her as they walked and she just batted her beautifully long eyelashes innocently.

"You look so... Ordinary" she laughed. "You look uncomfortable."

"Is ordinary a bad thing?"

"It just seems strange coming from you" she smiled softly, breathing in deeply. Edward smelt so marvellous all the time and as weird as she found it- she knew that she could stand at his side and smell him all day. He seemed to notice her stiffing him because he laughed and pulled her gently into the circle of his arms so that they pushed the trolley together. She was so small, she easily fit into the space that his body left behind.

"Chocolate?" Edward mused, gesturing to the shelves and she smiled sweetly.

"You're going to make me fat" she laughed.

"I heard that's what boyfriends are for" he winked and poked her side, making her squeal slightly, jumping from the tickle and he laughed. "You're beautiful and no matter what- I will never change my opinion on that" he promised. "We can go hiking tomorrow if you'd like, I think that the weather is supposed to be better by then" he frowned and she grinned- nodding.

"That sounds perfect" she breathed and he nodded as he collected some chocolate with expert hands from the shelf- lazily tossing it into the cart that was otherwise filled with mostly healthy things.

"You'll have to teach me how to cook" Edward laughed and she shook her head with her smile painted in place.

"I can cook."

"But I want to cook for you too, Rosia. I want to do everything with you" he breathed and was proud of the smile that continued to light her cheeks as he said that. Her dimples were almost permanent indents now- her smile not having faltered for a second since opening her eyes that morning. Their life in Oregon was turning out to be far better than she ever could have anticipated and as they made their way back into the sheeting rain after paying- Edward chuckled and ushered her to run toward the shining grey Volvo. The vampire was quick to deposit all of the grocery bags in the trunk

"Ooh, can I drive?" she piped up, eyes wide with excitement and he turned to face her with horror on his face.

"Absolutely not" he quipped.

"Please" she pouted, putting on her best puppy dog eyes from where she sat in the passenger seat of the Volvo and he did his best not to look at them as he kept his gaze locked firmly on the front window of the car. "Pleaseeeeee. Don't you love me?" she pouted playfully and he glared teasingly.

"What happened to sweet innocent Ambrosia? I've created a monster." he winked and she giggled. The sound of it was enough to assure him that 'Sweet Innocent Ambrosia' was very much still in existence. "Do you even have a driving licence?"

"Of course I do, I didn't drive my car illegally" she laughed.

"I was just checking" he rose his palms into the air in resignation and her eyes lightened.

"Is that a yes?"

"Rosia" he stated in a very serious voice. "I would like you to know that I am doing this only because I love you with all my heart... If you break my car, I will cry."

"Yay!" she cheered, hopping out into the rain again to enter the other side of the car but in doing so, she easily heard his response of 'Dear Lord what have I done?' jokingly. Ambrosia opened the driver's door with an expectant grin and he looked up at her for a long moment before huffing and standing to let her sit in the seat of power. When Edward slid into the passenger seat, he instantly had an expression of discomfort as he watched her run her hands over the wheel with a childish look of glee.

Turning to her boyfriend, Ambrosia rose her palm into the air expectantly as he blinked at her for a very long pause before sighing and dropping the keys into her palm.

"Seat belt" Edward mused and she rolled her eyes from where she was already pulling her seatbelt across her body. "Check your mirrors" he continued and she laughed, rolling her eyes.

"Please keep your hands and feet inside the vehicle at all times," she started and his eyes turned to her widely.

"Rosia, don't break the speed limit" he persisted as she finally started the car and backed smoothly out of the spot. Edward instantly cringed, gripping the seat teasingly as though he was holding on for dear life and she laughed out brilliantly as she began to drive.
