"Ambrosia, tell me I don't need to tell you this right now... You're wearing that? Don't you realise that all eyes will be on you today, this is the first day of your first romance! First of all, you want to look gorgeous for your new boy, but also, everybody is going to be staring at you, the shy girl gets with the fitty? This is textbook stuff" Pheobe dramatised, clapping before she proceeded to paw through her foster sister's wardrobe, pulling out a whole new outfit. "You need to look beautiful Ambrosia, especially when you're going to be on his arm" she continued, Ambrosia huffing as she changed quickly, not having time for an argument. Edward had popped home from their secret sleepover to change and come back with his car. There was no time for this argument.

"Okay"

"Okay?" Roz wondered from the desk chair. "That's it? No complaint?"

"No complaint" Ambrosia returned. "I agree, I'm going to look plain beside him either way, might as well be a good plain."

"Ambrosia, you are stunning okay?" Pheobe sounded angry, annoyed at herself for putting that idea into her head. "He is so lucky to have you and if he messes you around, I will personally bring about his death" they all giggled, though in slight worry because this romance was new... And Pheobe was a naturally violent person.

It didn't take Ambrosia to be redressed in a completely different outfit, pulling on her coat and flicking her neat curls out of her eyes, she proceeded into the sheet of rain that fell from the sky, glad that the silver Volvo was parked only a few metres from her front door. Jumping inside, shivering slightly, Ambrosia grinned over at Edward Cullen, sat in all his shining glory, designer clothes pristine and hair spiked.

"Good morning" his voice was a velvety whisper and she looked up at him, her cheeks blushing just at the way he stared at her, golden eyes glittering and voice husky. Leaning across, Ambrosia took his cheeks in her hands and pulled him across toward her, lips sealing together and he chuckled into her mouth as they kissed. Ambrosia was different with Edward, but he loved it. When the pair pulled away from one another, Edward's hand placed softly on her cheek as he stared intensely into her eyes, the rain drying up beyond the window, "Are you ready for this?"

Ambrosia bit her lip, thinking and Edward's golden eyes darkened, making her frown but she nodded to his previously asked question before moving on to her own.

"Are you hungry?" she wondered, worried. But she wasn't scared for herself, she was worried about him, being in pain. Closing his eyes for a moment and clearing his throat, Edward pulled away before smiling, his eyes pooling a deep gold once more and she smiled but was still slightly worried, Ambrosia was new to the world of vampires and all things supernatural. She couldn't possibly know the reasons why he did certain things but she promised herself that she would ask Rosalie.

For some unknown reason, Rosalie had a real connection with Ambrosia, more so than any other human before. Any other time that Fred had brought a human girl back to their family, Rosalie had hated them, maybe because there was a new one every other week and it was never certain if Fred would tell them the secret. But Rosalie truly liked Ambrosia, Edward suspected it was through pity for her. Ambrosia did not have very good luck in life and the Cullens already suspected that she had been involved with vampires long before their family had come to town.

Since visiting their graves, Edward Cullen had been looking into the deaths of Ambrosia's parents. Something just didn't seem right to him, something he couldn't quite place. And the autopsy reports, obtained from Carlisle Cullen himself, had revealed many more suspicions. Their bodies, drained of blood had been found mauled on the forest floor, their jugulars almost ripped out. Animals just couldn't do that much specific damage but with lack of other ideas, the coroner had pronounced their death by an animal attack. If a vampire was responsible, Ambrosia was incredibly unsafe, vampires loved the hunt, they weren't ones to give up on things, they had an eternity to create chaos. Ambrosia would be the next piece of the puzzle, they were almost certain.

"I'm not hungry" Edward promised and she nodded as he began to drive them to school. Ambrosia knew that her nerves should be running high at that moment but breathing in Edwards gorgeous scent, the expensive leather of his seats cuddling her, she couldn't help but feel calm as she relaxed beside him.

"Are you okay?" she wondered and he looked at her sideways, oddly, Edward felt that people rarely ever asked him that question and four months ago, if someone had asked him that, he would have answered that he wasn't, granted he was being honest. But sitting beside Ambrosia, Edward couldn't help but feel completely happy, happier than he had ever been before. It didn't matter the risk they were under and what the future was destined to hold, Edward had to know her.

There were many things that Edward had to tell Ambrosia but today was not the day for that. Pulling into the parking lot beside his sibling's cars, it was to be met with four smiling faces... And one looking into the distance at a brunette beside a rusty truck. During her pause for panic, Edward smoothly travelled around the car, opening Ambrosia's door for her and offering her a hand. Stepping out, looking down, Ambrosia was forced to stand directly beside Edward, not enough room for them to stand reasonably.

"Ambrosia" his voice was husky and he took her cheeks, forcing her to look at him, the warmth of her blush soothing under the cool of his fingertips. They were stood in a very intimate position now, Ambrosia could feel eyes on her as she looked into his warm eyes, her chest against his as his hands ghosted against her cheeks. But she felt content under his touch, it didn't matter what he was, she trusted him. "It's going to be okay" he promised before leaning down to kiss her, vaguely aware of the cheering of Emmett from the other side of the car. Rolling his eyes and taking her hand, Edward wondered over to his family who looked happy for him.

"Morning lovebirds" the bear-like man whistled.

"Aww yay" Alice bubbled happily. "Welcome to the family" she beamed and hugged the girl, rocking them from side to side happily as Edward rolled his eyes but the happiness that rolled off him was practically palpable.

"Ambrosia" Rosalie beckoned and after looking at Edward for a second, to which she was granted a small smile, she walked toward Rose, leaving Edward to chat to Jasper quietly. Walking over to her, Ambrosia smiled softly, still slightly intimidated by the blonde girl's beauty. "I'm going shopping this weekend with Alice and our mother and I was wondering if you wanted to come" Ambrosia was stunned, gaping like a fish. Her brain mentally calculated, knowing that she was going to receive some money off of the boys at the rez for the parts of her blue bug they'd sold and so she would at least have some money by then. Nodding shyly, she smiled.

"Yes Please"

"Well," Rosalie stated, grasping Edwards attention. "Looks like a date," she says meaningfully and Edward rolled his eyes. Seeing Ambrosia's confusion, he turned to her and spoke.

"Would you allow me to take you on a date? It can be whatever you desire, or perhaps you would rather stay in and order takeout? Whatever you wish." he smiled and her eyes widened before she nodded, though the thought of sitting in a high-class restaurant ignited her nerves and the idea of takeout was much more appealing to her. Especially as she was the only one that ate.

"Yes" she nodded and he smiled, nerves seemed to ease from his eyes, nerves she didn't realise he had.

"Perfect" Alice beamed, the future already set in her mind. "There will be a storm, so you will stay in at ours and order takeout, Chinese, on Friday night. You can stay the night and we will go shopping Saturday." Ambrosia had no choice but to agree, considering Alice had already decided. Thankfully, Edward had already told Ambrosia about their powers and therefore, she wasn't completely shocked.
