"Goodbye, Dominic."
He dropped to the ground and I faced the woman who ended the battle. She held his heart in her hand while the other held a knife and slit his throat until his blood pooled the ground.
Everyone in the room gasped in surprise. I looked at Mary and saw how astounded her expression was of her own daughter, Felicity. I knew that she could make it, she's a warrior, my warrior.
She dropped the heart to the ground, stepped on it like the dirt it truly is. She did it, she ended the prophecy. I walked slowly towards her and the second my hands touched hers, it felt like a blissful paradise. Her scent flowed like the ocean to my veins.
"Mate," she whispered.
Sparks.
Bond.
New beginnings.
"You're mine," I whispered as I pulled her to my arms, breathing everything that is Felicity.
"I'm yours."

To hear those words come from her lips felt like thorns lifted off my chest. Dominic's death, the prophecy ended and it brought back all mate bonds, including ours. The sparks, her soul, I could feel the connection. It's something I'll never grow tired off, she's mine and I belong to her.
I held her tightly in my arms, it all still feels like a dream. I didn't want to let her go because I did not want the moment to end. What if I wake up and it all becomes a nightmare all over again.
The wounds that were on her skin, the pain, the tiredness, I could feel it radiating on her, every beat, breath, and pulse, I could all feel it through our bond. Nothing is as better as feeling Felicity. It's like I've finally touched the angels in the skies.
I love her.
I have loved her ever since her little hands wrapped around my fingers when she was a child. Since then, I knew that she was my mate and that meant the eternity of being with her. Immortality may have finally given me the sense of living it.
Thank you, Felicity.
Suddenly, I felt her lay limp in my arms. Her arms fell on her sides and I caught all her weight. "Felicity?" I whispered and she did not respond.
"She's too weak, I could feel it through the connection." I carried her in my arms as we all exited the war scene, the place of Dominic's hell.
In a flash second, we were back in my castle and I laid Felicity in my bed. "I can help her," Odette whispered as she went to her niece's side.
Mary along with Katherine and other important people watched as Odette snapped her fingers and the once empty glass in the table was filled with a liquid that shined the color of the skies.

Carefully, she let a few drops touch Felicity's lips and just like that, my mate moved. She stirred in her state of unconsciousness but she felt stronger.
"She just needs rest. I can stay by her side and wash her while you freshen up, Dimitrius. You have not rested for days you need to feed," Mary said.
It was true. Not a single second passed without Felicity felt light. I drowned in sorrow, darkness, and uncomforting solitude. Five days, she was in pain, I was in torment.
Dominic thought that she was my greatest weakness but he thought wrong. Felicity is my greatest strength. She never gave up, she fought for her life and it meant that she fought for us.
I went to the blood cellar and helped myself feed. Without her blood, without anyone's blood, it became easy for my beast to take control. There, I found my sister, crying.
"Katherine, what's wrong?" Her eyes were red with agony. After everything we've gone through, I haven't paid much attention to her.
She leaned on my shoulder as we both sipped our glasses with blood. "It's back," she whispered and somehow, it fueled an anger inside of me. I knew what she was talking about.
Now that the prophecy ended, every supernatural mate bond came back. Mine with Felicity and hers with Jonathan, that bastard who did cruel things for years to Katherine.
"What do you want me to do?" I growled, Katherine snuggled deeper into my chest as her hands fisted the shirt I was wearing. I don't know how she'll forgive her own mate after what he has done.
"I don't know what to do, Dimitri. I hate him, I'm supposed to hate him for everything but whenever I look at him, touch him, the bond, it's making me want to forget and forgive what he's done. It's not easy, I'm battling my own mind," she cried.
"I loved him before, brother. Once, he meant more than anything else to me. Then one day, after being foolish enough and opened up to him about the truth, about the prophecy, and about Dominic, he changed completely. He abused me, raped me, he became cruel to me. For what? Just because he didn't want to let me go and fight Dominic, just because he wanted me to be safe? I was in more harm with him, Dimitri! Every night, his doings were my nightmares. Every day, I had to wake up to beatings, lashings, whippings. How will I ever forgive that? I can't just let the bond wind, Dimitri but I can't hate him completely because of it too."
I caressed her face as my thumbs wiped her tears. I hate to see Katherine in pain. The moment she told me all those ruthless things that Jonathan did, I wanted to end his life, kill him in an instant but I knew that it would break Katherine even more. I felt helpless, not being able to do what's best for my sister except comfort her and now, it would still be the same. If I can't kill Jonathan, what do I have to do?

"I can compel him, Katherine, make him forget everything even his name. I can kill him, end your misery but I know that because of the bond, it would give you much greater pain. I can lock him up in the dungeons, never let him go, I can -"
The sound of the door closing made me stop. We both turned and faced Mary. "Felicity's looking for you, Dimitrius."
Immediately, my feet moved to its own accord. "Katherine, I'm really sorry but I have to go. I promise we'll talk about this later," I told her.
"Go to your mate, Dimitrius. If I can't have mine, I want you to have yours. At least one of the Stones will have an epic love," she smiled as she gestured me to the door.
The Stones.
Rosaleen Stone, killed at the age of fourteen. Katherine Stone, abused and raped by her own mate. Dimitrius Stone, what will be your story?
What would I make out of this new beginning?
I opened the door to my room where Felicity was and found her sitting on my bed, her wounds healed and she has been already bathed by Mary and Odette. Her scent lingered in my nose and I breathed deeply, wanting to drown in her.
"Hi," she whispered shyly while still looking on the ground. I sat next to her and lifted her chin, making her look at me.
"I'm sorry, Dimitrius. I should have known better before plunging that knife into your heart. I'm really -"
"Shh," I said while placing my index finger on her mouth. "It's not your fault, love. I should be the one saying sorry. I wasn't there to protect you, I let him lay his hands on you and it should have been my responsibility not to let that happen."
Then her tears started flowing, was it because all those horrid memories were coming back to her? I draped my arm over her shoulder and let her lean her weight on me. I'll always be here for you, Felicity.
"How can you still want me, Dimitrius?" She whimpered. "I'm not what you want. I'm just a human, you're a vampire king. I can't be your queen, I'm too weak to rule by your side. I don't belong here, you should be ashamed that I am your mate."
Oh, no. You're incredibly wrong, my love.
"Felicity, stop thinking that. I should be the one that you're not wanting. I'm dark, tainted, evil. I have killed many lives, destroyed families, some of them, I even liked. What did I do to deserve a mate like you or even a mate at all? You're perfect, Felicity. You deserve every good in this world yet here you are, paired with a tarnished soul," I said.
We both didn't speak for minutes, we just let the silence comfort each other's hurt. After all, being together is already enough to heal the pain.
"Thank you for saving me, Dimitrius. Without you, I wouldn't have lasted another day," she whispered to my ear and kissed the side of my lips. It felt like euphoria.
I held her petite face with my two hands and looked straight to her emerald green eyes. "I hope you know that I'm never letting you go. I may be a cruel vampire but I am nothing like Dominic. Now that he's gone, Felicity Lowell, you're spending the rest of your life with me."
She wiped her tears and laughed, "Aren't you a demanding big bad vampire?" Her laugh, the sound that I've been forbidden to hear for days.
"I may not be the ideal mate that I should be but I promise to change, try my best, and do everything for you. I can't bear to lose you, Felicity, I almost did." Our foreheads touched and her lips were just an inch from mine.
"Don't change Dimitrius, I've grown to like you, your beast, and yourself. Changing yourself won't change the past. Let's start over, just the two of us, this time, we'll make it right."
And we have forever to make up for the past.

The Stars Have Eyes
The universe was a vast, empty, dark, and uncaring place. Then life happened, and the universe was changed forever. Only a teeny-tiny bit, but definitely different. Then again, the universe changes a teeny-tiny bit every second of every day. For instance, if someone were to get off the couch and randomly drink a glass of milk? Bam! One less glass of milk in the universe. Changed forever. Well, excluding any time-travel shenanigans, but anyone who puts a big old hole in the time-space continuum just to un-drink a glass of milk should really reevaluate their priorities. Unless, of course, they were attempting to prevent some massive catastrophe vis-a-vis said glass of milk. Such a scenario is by no means impossible, as one should never underestimate the importance of calcium. Another important tip for any life forms out there is to keep things in perspective. Some look at the vastness of creation in relation to themselves and go, ‘Man, this sucks!’ These people really need to narrow their focus. Sure, they will never affect anything happening on the other end of the galaxy, but so what? That’s way the heck over there, where it doesn’t matter. Therefore, in order to maintain a healthy mindset, it is important to narrow one’s perspective to the things and people that affect them, and that they can affect in turn. But what happens if one is an unfathomable cosmic being from beyond the veil of reality? What happens when such an existence is capable of influencing entire swathes of the universe just by its presence? A creature such as Magh'rathlak the Observer? That particular entity is only about average as far as reality-warping creatures from the dawn of time go, so its influence over the fabric of reality is rather limited. And it still struggles to keep things in perspective. That, among other things, is why it decided to narrow its worldview a bit by compressing the maddening vastness of its being into a single corporeal form. Magh'rathlak had never tried such a feat, but that wasn't about to stop it. After all, how hard could being human possibly be?

Blind As a Bat [1st book complete]
Book 1 He was cast to the edges of his clan. His father could not stand to even look at him. His baby sister probably didn't even know he was her brother... All because he, unlike all other vampire (The correct terminology will be Wanpyrkos; van-peer-coe-s) kind, was born blind. And what do all creatures do to those that are different, those that do not fit society, those that they think should not have been born to this civilized society...? [Book Cover Made by the wonderful THEMIDNIGHTECLIPSE13] - thank you! I'm only introducing the perspective of the main character for the first part. Things change drastically soon after that. [BDSM entries are clearly marked and written so they can be skipped without affecting the story] ***A couple scenes to whet your palate*** 1. "Uh, we heal from pretty much everything and anything. Have you ever tried physically damaging your eyes to see if they would fully heal?" "N-no. No, it doesn't work," I forced out, my voice a little strangled and cracking before hardening. "And stuff like that, isn't that just wrong?! Hurting someone just to 'fix' them." 2. I leaned and he met me, our soft lips touching and moving perfectly on each other's. I felt as his tongue ran the slit of my lips, my tongue coming to graze it as it passed over, knowing doing so was like catnip to him. He leaned closer, and I shivered as his hands ran from low on my hips and grazed along and up my ribs, pulling my chest closer to his so my body arched and rubbed against him. I hummed in appreciation. [warning: so far aggressive or physical bullying and maybe a little kidnappage and sexual themes as well as possible trigger warnings]
