“Oh my gosh! Are you going to run in the coming election? You’ve been smiling since this morning!” Chaeng said while circling around me with one of her eyebrows raised.

“Am I?” I asked, innocently.

“Yes.. and please stop smiling because I’m starting to think that you’re going nuts!”

“It’s such a wonderful day to have a stroll. Look at how the sky screams, it’s overwhelming with joy”

“Lisa, it’s raining heavily outside—AHHH!”

“It’s just a thunder, you’re such a scaredy chipmunk!”

“Urghhh this is why I hate rain!”

“It’s tears of joy from heaven Chaeyoung-ah”

“You’re really out of your mind…don’t tell me it’s because of Jennie?”

“W-what do you mean?”

“Stop fooling around”

“Y-you know?”

“Of course. I’m Park Chaeyoung remember?”

“Tell me. W-what do you know?” for a moment, my heart raced. Did she know? Did she put a secret camera or a recorder on me? No way. It’s just the both of us last night and there’s no way that Jennie will tell Chaeng.

“I’m just so happy that I can’t lurk around this country freely now”

I immediately looked up to the direction that Chaeng had pointed only to hear her boisterous laugh. What a prankster!

“You’re so whipped! Your face brightens in a snap…Woahhh so that is the impact of Jennie on you?”

“Stop it Chaeng!” I put my arms around Chaeng’s neck while she was laughing out loud. The other staffs were looking at our childishness as they pass by.

“Yah! Lalisa! Get your hands off me!” she said in between her laughs.

“If you promise me that you will not do it again”

“Yahhhhh! Get off meee! It tickles!”

“WHAT A SIGHT”

It feels like I got struck down by lightning and now I’m frozen like a statue when I heard such a cold voice. I was stuck on my post when I looked up and saw Jennie who was looking at us with those dark eyes!

I can’t believe what I just saw. She’s flirting with someone else in front of me?! OF ALL PLACES?! I shouldn’t react this way right? But it’s Chaeyoung! She’s no ordinary girl—she’s a high profile! Is Lisa playing with me? Maybe the kiss last night was just one of her pranks. Looking back as to how she can get clingy with everybody—she’s really good with this game. Wait—why am I getting irritated with what I saw? Do I like her? No—OMO! Am I starting to like her? Or did I start to like her before and I am only realizing it now?!

“Jennie-yah, are you just going to stare at your food and not eat?”

“Oh sorry, I got lost in my thoughts” I can’t believe that I just lost my focus. I’m with Jisoo, Chaeng, and Lisa right now and we are having lunch outside.

“What were you thinking?”

“I was actually thinking if I should accept the offer about me collaborating with Kai”

“Isn’t it Kai who had a huge crush on you eversince your pre-debut years? He’s been so supportive when it comes to you. So why are you thinking twice?” Jisoo can’t really keep a thing from other people. She just says what she wants to say. I wish I could tape her mouth right at this very moment. Our eyes were glued at Lisa when she suddenly laid the glass strongly on the table making it sound like she just banged it purposely.

“Sorry. It almost slipped out of my hand” Lisa explained shyly.

“Maybe I should accept it?” I turned to Jisoo but our attention was stolen by Lisa again when she began coughing so hard. I saw Chaeng tapped her on the back. What’s with them? They are such an eyesore!

“Lisa, are you okay?” I heard Jisoo asked.

“Yeah. Don’t mind me. Just keep talking. Chaeng, should we grab some coffee?”

“Sure” Chaeng stood up excitedly then she linked her arms with her.

“Call me when you’re done Jendeukie” she said then she left the place without even letting me speak.

"If looks could kill, you probably had committed a murder right now"

"That's just the way I stare. Don't get the wrong idea unnie."

Damn you Lisa! You're making me do things that I don't usually do before!

After going for a cup of coffee yesterday, I haven't remembered Jennie calling me that she had been gone to her rehearsal. She's with Jisoo all the time that's why I didn't worry at all. They are the emcees today at music bank and we are actually here at her space waiting for her to finish warming up in front of her mirror. Rosé and I had been running from all over the place to check some stuffs and now we are so tired that all we want to do is to soak in a warm bath and call it a day.

"Oh gosh I'm so thirsty! I feel like I just finished working out after all those running" Rosé complained while throwing herself on the sofa.

"I'm on my way downstairs, I should get you some wat—"

"Here" Jennie cuts me off as she throw a bottled water to Chaeng. When did she start lending what's hers to us? Weird.

"Left some for me. The other staffs would be here after an hour so I still need some in case my throat feels dry from practicing the script" she said as she gets back to what she's doing. Rosé immediately emptied half of the bottle then she placed it in front of Jennie.

"Thanks Jennie"

"Chaeng let's go. They also need you down there"

We were already at the elevator when Chaeng started shaking her head. She almost fell down but I luckily held her arm and assisted her to stand.

"Are you okay?"

"I..I f-feel d-dizz—" she didn't finish what she is saying because she passed out.

"Yah! Chaeng...chaeyoung! Wake upppp!" I immediately called the medical staffs of our company. They were already at the first floor waiting for us.

"What happened to her?" I asked worriedly.

"She's been drugged"

"It...it must be the water! Please take good care of her. I need to go somewhere urgent!" Jennie. I hope she didn't drink it yet. Please. Please wait for me. Don't drink it yet. I tried to dial her phone but she didn't pick up. Damn it! I've been so preoccupied with things that I forgot that Jennie is still not free from danger.

Just one more reading and I'm all set. This is my first time being a presenter at a music show and I'm so excited to try this out. I was about to drink the water that I shared with Chaeng a moment ago because my throat suddenly feels itchy when Lisa slammed the door open and took the bottle from me. Her face and the way she catches her breath makes me think that she rushed her way here. She looked relieved when she saw that I haven't drank even a single drop from it. I was startled when she hugged me out of the blue. I even heard her whispered "thank God."

"What do you think are you doing?!" I said when I realized that she's still hugging me. She's the only person who can do this to me and I can't understand myself why I keep on letting her do whatever she wants to do to me. I tried to push her away but she even hugged me tighter.

"Just stay still...give me a moment. Just a moment until my fear abandons me"

"W-what are you—"

"S-sorry" she said when she finally let go of me.

"What's with you? And who do you think you are to hug me, to kiss...urghhhh I can't believe I'm saying these kinds of things!"

She just laugh at me. I can't even read what she's thinking right now. She must've been making fun of me in her mind.

"Don't ever do that again. Give me back my water"

"This one is drugged. I'll get you a new one" she leaned her face closer to me.

What now? Is she going to kiss me again?!

"Don't let your guard down and don't trust anybody else but me. Someone's trying to harm you...so please don't make me worry like this again... don't make me run a hundred stairs just to—" she suddenly stopped talking when she realized how close our gap is then she took a step back.

"I'm... I'm sorry. I just can't afford to see you get harmed. Just give me a little more time. I promise I'll get to the bottom of this..just a little more."

I made contact with her eyes and there I saw how sincere she is with all these words that she's saying to me.

Why are you doing this? What am I to you Lisa? Why are you this worried about me? Is it because you are my manager? Or is there something else? I hope one day you tell me because the way you act right now...right here... it's starting to confuse me.
