"Megan."

"What are you doing here?" She sneered.

"Didn't you hear? I'm with them," I said, looking towards Liam and Chase, who stood there uncomfortably.

"Whatever." She scoffed at me and turned her attention back towards them. "If you change your mind, you know where to find us." She giggled.

"Okay."

She turned around and went inside, not without swaying her hips a little too much on her way. I rolled my eyes at her desperation. Really? There is something called as self-respect.

"She's good," Liam forced out.

"It's okay. I know you don't like her. Feelings mutual," Chase said. Liam nodded and took his coke from my hand and went inside. Chase smiled towards me and took his share of coke. I stood there mouth hanging open. "Are you coming?" He asked as he noticed I wasn't following him. Really? They are unbelievable.

"Coming." I went inside and took my seat. The seating arrangement was Liam, Chase and me. I didn't want to sit in between them because I knew they would shout like an insane person.

The movie was good. I like it. Since Iron Man is my favorite, I liked it even more. After the movie, we ate at the nearby restaurant. I'm glad we didn't meet Megan again. I'm sure if she knew we were going somewhere to eat, she along with her friends would tag as well, but lucky us, we didn't meet her while leaving.

Now I was home, in my bed along with Ashley. Since tomorrow is Saturday, she decided we should have a sleepover.

"You remember when I came to you after a party, complaining about Jeff?" She asked.

"Yeah. I remember. Two whole months have passed and it seems like everything has changed."

"Yeah. I mean, the next day Chase came to stay next to you. We met his new friends and now all of us are friends, a big group. Never thought that I'll have an amazing boyfriend like Jason," she said. A smile lit up her face as she said Jason.

"Yeah. I couldn't agree more. But along with these came some bad times," I muttered.

"Your Dad." She stated. I nodded. "But you know what came out the best?"

"What?" I looked at her as we lay on my bed side my side, staring at the ceiling.

"That I got the old Chloe back. The childish, sarcastic, immature girl back. I haven't heard you whining about a test or that you didn't get full marks. The old Chloe I knew never once complained about it. Then you became all distant. All you would do is study. I'm glad to see you have a life, other than books," she joked the last line.

"I have life other than books," I defended.

"Oh yeah, Chase."

I rolled to my side and took the pillow and started smacking her face with it. "Really?"

"Ow, Chloe. Stop it," she whined.

"It's a pillow. You won't get hurt," I said in sing-song voice.

"I know that but you're cutting my breathing circulation."

I rolled my eyes and stopped my movement. I lie back down and sigh. "Do you think the change is good?"

"It's for the best." I hummed back.

We talked for sometimes, discussing about what's going on with Leah and Alec, along with Ryan and Laura. We decided to spy on them and demand answers. Also it's time for them to know the truth. But before I tell them, I'll have to tell Chase. He has the right to know first.

"Get up." Someone shouted in my ears. I instantly covered my ears that was ringing from the loud shout by Ashley.

"Shut up," I groaned and stuffed my face in my pillow.

"Get up. Get up," she started jumping on my bed. I kicked her and she fell down with a thud. The sense of déjà vu washed over me.

"You pushed me down again," Ashley boomed. I nodded in my pillow, sleeplessly.

"Okay then. You asked for it." Then all of a sudden, I felt a body jump on me. I screamed.

"Ashley, what the hell? Get of me." I tried to push her off me.

"Wow, what's going on here?" A voice said. We both stopped struggling and looked up to the window. Chase was standing there, amusement clearly written on his face.

"Uh, wrestling?" I questioned. He raised an eyebrow at me and crossed his arms over his chest.

"No!" Ashley exclaimed and hurried to explain him further. "I tried to wake her up, but she sleeps like deaf person. No one can wake her up, I swear. So I shouted in her ears and she pushed me off her bed." She said using her hands for emphasis. "So I jumped on her. That's when you saw it."

He blinked and blinked and started laughing. He took hold of the window to stop himself from falling. "What? Really?"

Ashley and I looked at him and then to each other and back at him. "I feel like he has grown two faces," Ashley muttered. I rolled my eyes at her brain.

"Don't use your brains." She smacks my back. "Uh, Chase? What's so funny?" I asked.

He looked like I've grown two head. He stopped laughing and sighed, shaking his head. Bipolar much? "She jumped on you?"

"Yeah?"

"Okay," he shrugged and went back inside. What the hell just happened?

"Umm..I don't have anything to say for this," Ashley said awkwardly.

"Me too." I sighed and struggled. "Now get off me."

"Fine. Fine. Let's go down for some food. My stomach is grumbling," she said and got off me.

"I'm going for a bath. Have you taken?" I asked.

"Taken what?"

"Shower?" I exclaimed.

"Oh? Yeah. Yeah, I have."

"Go down then. I'll be there soon," I said, walking in my closet and took my clothes and went for a shower. I stripped my clothes and adjusted the tap.

After taking a shower, changing in my clothes and brushing my hair, I went down, but before that Ashley came running up. A panic look on her face. I scrunched my eyebrow together.

"What is it?"

She pushed me inside my room and closed the door behind her. "Nothing." She started pacing in my room and mumbling to herself.

"Ashley? What's wrong? Why did you come up? I'm hungry. Let's go down." I walked towards door but she stopped me. She grabbed my arm and stopped me from taking any step further.

"We can't go down. Liam will bring up your fo—"

"No way. Just get out." I heard shouting from downstairs. I looked at Ashley, accusingly. I turned around, but Ashley stopped me again, but I glared at her and opened my door. I heard Liam shouting curses.

When I came at the bottom stairs, I saw what was going on. Liam was standing, red face from anger and clenching his fist. Mom tried to calm him, but it was obvious she wouldn't be able to.

"Let me talk, Liam. I said I'm sorry. I want to start over again," Jeremy pleaded.

"There's nothing to start over." I said, nonchalantly. I finally came down and stood in front of him.

"Chloe. I'm happy you came down." Jeremy seems pleased seeing me down.

I kept my face blank. "I'm not happy to see you."

"Chloe, I'm not telling you to stay with me. I just want to be able to talk to you." He came closer, but I stopped him by raising my hand in front of me.

"Don't come anywhere near. Even if you would have asked me to stay with you, I wouldn't have. If I had a choice to not see your face again, I would have taken it." I said. Looking straight into his eyes, I said, "Listen and listen very carefully. I'm glad you are happy to see us. But we are not. I can't forget what you said to me. Your own daughter."

I shook my head and laughed humorlessly. "You don't know how it feels when your own father tells you that he never wanted you. Even before I was born, you hated me, so what should I expect when I'm born, huh? Then, all those years I grew up in oblivion. I thought you were busy, that's why you couldn't spend time with me. I let it pass. Whenever I saw you playing with Liam, laughing with him, I thought one day you'll do that with me too. I hoped and cried every night for my father to acknowledge me, but what do I get in return, nothing. You shouting at mom and constantly fighting with her.

"I always blamed myself. That it's my fault you and mother fight. It's my fault that our family is breaking apart. But now I know I wasn't the reason. The reason was you hating a girl. You never wanted a daughter. It hurts to think of all the insults you said to me while leaving. You know why you insulted me while leaving? Because you didn't wanted to carry the guilt of leaving. That's the only reason you blamed all of the fights on me. To ease your guilt.

"I have to say, you succeed for a minute there. Then I realize that no, it's not my fault. I'm glad you left us. Want to know why? Because if you wouldn't have, I would have not gotten a real father, a real dad, who cares for me and wants to make me 'the little dad's girl' that you never wanted. I'm glad you left us because I really love this man," I pointed at John, my dad and smiled at him. No tears were present in my eyes. I swore to myself, I won't cry for Jeremy.

"So do us a favor and leave us alone. I forgive you and so does Liam. You don't have pretend to make everything right. I have everything I wanted. So.." I got more close to him and muttered. "Get the fuck away from me."

I gave him the look and went past him. I saw Chase standing near the entrance. My guess is that he heard everything I said. I walked past him, out of the house to my car. I can't believe I just swore the biggest word.

I went to the place and laid down on the grass. I sighed and closed my eyes. For once, I felt all the weight has been lifted off my shoulder. I felt light. Forgive and forget always works. Is there a reason why he wants to talk to us again? As much as I know, he didn't come to talk to me or ask for my forgiveness. He just wanted Liam and to have Liam's forgiveness. For that he has to have my forgiveness. Even though I told him that Liam forgave him. I'm sure he never will.

But I'm glad Liam controlled his anger. I'm glad he didn't stop me. One thing that I don't understand is that, why didn't I feel any emotion? I would cry about this for hours, but today I let my words out without a single tear. I think I'm finally over my father issue.

I don't know how much time passed, but it was starting to get dark now.

"Well, that was something I wasn't expecting."

"What were you not expecting?" I asked back, not opening my eyes. I heard some shuffling and then felt something warm touch my arm. I knew the he laid down beside me with his arms touching mine.

"You swearing."

I opened my eyes and turned my head towards him. "How did you know, Chase?"

"You were soft, but I lip read you. I don't think anyone heard you, but I saw your lip moving and heard it faintly," he explained.

"Oh? It makes sense." I nodded my head and look up at the sky.

"Hmm."

"You know I really like stars at night," I said, faintly.

"Why?"

"Because it reminds me that I'm not alone."

"What do you mean?" He asked, quietly.

"When you nod your head yes, but you wanna say no," I teased.

He chuckled. "Justin Bieber."

"You heard him?"

"Yeah."

"He's not quite bad."

"Are you kidding me?"

"I'm serious. I like him," I said, smiling.

"I thought you liked the boy band?" He asked.

"No. I love the boy band. And the name of the boy band is One Direction." I said in a matter of fact.

"You're crazy you know," he said, chuckling. I smiled and stared at the one star shining brightly back at me.

"Do you see that star up there? The one shining brightly?" I said and pointed at it.

"Yes?"

"That star is always there whenever I'm in trouble or something bad happens." My eyes watered. "Do you want to know who it is?"

"Who?" I could feel his eyes burning through my side. A tear escaped my eyes. I looked at the star once more, before shifting my glance towards Chase. Look straight into his eyes. I whispered,

"Emma."
