《HUNGRY EYES || J.JK × Reader ✔》chapter 11 | Sweet treat

I gaze up at her but peek down at the white paper bag that comes from Subway, and which she is holding. "This is for you," she tells me, her voice sounding more shy and low than when she is alone with me. I take it and put it down on my lap but smile at her. "Are you trying to buy my forgiveness?"

She shakes her head and titters, keeping her eyes on me and no one else. "That's the meal you ordered the other day, with a double chocolate chip cookie that I added to it"

"Thank you, sweet girl. You're so kind today," I do not call her a brat like I did just to joke with her, and she tucks her hands in the pockets of her hoodie but leans towards me. "There's a note in it," she whispers in my ear, having no idea how easily this action can turn me on, and she gives me a soft look, before walking away as I could not even respond to this.

"Damn," Hojun does not keep his mouth shut as my eyes are impossible to take off of her body. "What did she say? Did she kiss you?"

"Nothing," I open the bag and check what is inside once she is gone, and I look for the note she mentioned but feel my mouth water at the scent of the food. I did not have anything but candies to eat for lunch, so she really brightened my day and mood up. "Did she tease you?"

"Shut up, I won't tell you," I refuse to let him know about it, and once I find the piece of paper, I unfold it but never take it out of the bag. "You're annoying as fuck."

_ This counts as an apology, and you have to forgive me. Okay? I won't go to the library just to avoid you:) _

I smile but take my phone out to answer her by text.

[ that counts, but I'll still wait for you in front of the girls' dorm, don't worry about that:) >

I send it and put my phone back in my pocket, but already feel it vibrate.

[ and I'm sensitive as hell too but you hurt my feelings >

I laugh in front of this mistake that made her sentence sound terribly wrong.

[ sure. Find an excuse when you're the one who looked for trouble >

[ I dare you >

[ sure, coward >

Not receiving any more answers, I put my phone back in my pocket and get my food out to finally eat and feed my stomach that has been growling for hours.

The end of this class now about to ring in less than a minute, I put my stuff in my bag in a discreet manner to get ready to get out really fast, I only keep my laptop in front of me but do not remove my bag from my lap, getting Kimoon to peek at me and frown.

I take a look at my phone to see the seconds pass by and get my hands on my laptop to turn it off. Once there are only five seconds left, I put my phone in my pocket, and at the sound of the bell, I shut my laptop and shove it in my bag, zip it, and rush out of here.

This lesson had to be given at the other side of the dorms, which means that if y/n is right next to them, she will be able to avoid me. I run through the campus as if it was for my life, willing to be there on time.

I lose my breath because of my childish behavior, but as soon as I catch sight of the black hoodie girl heading to the girls' dorm, I yell with no shame. "Stay where you are!" my voice grasps her attention in less than a second as I am still running towards her, but at the exact moment that she sees me, she laughs and attempts to escape.

I do not give her enough time to avoid me and bump into her, throw my arms around her body, and stop her from behind. "Do not even think about it," I pant in her ear but watch her regret what she did last night. "Jungkook, please...There are too many people here, don't..." she begs me and does not act like she did when she dared to slap me.

My stare on her remains fixed, and we gaze into each other's eyes. "You come to the library with me, you study with me, and I won't take revenge."

"Promise," she lifts her hand up, her arms still stuck under mine that are not letting go of her. I keep her body against mine with the help of one arm, and I hook my pinkie around hers, feeling some warmth in my chest, a fizzy feeling at the scent of her fragrance, the feeling of her body against mine. "Promise."

"Alright, I'm coming," she smiles, happy with this. Since I do not trust her to the full, I release my clasp but grab her hand. "I'm not sure you won't run away," I use this pretext and lead her to the library, but she makes faster steps to catch up with me and be by my side. "You really think I'd dare to run away again? I don't want to die."

"Am I that scary?" I chuckle, but she confirms what I hoped for. "You are. I don't want to mess with you anymore."

"You can, but you'll just have to deal with the consequences. I'll be kind though, don't worry," I peek in front of me to enter the building, and I open the door but use it as a support and pull her towards me. "Come in."

"You're sus," she gives me a cute look of mistrust, and I laugh but close the door behind us without letting go of her. "Why? I'm being kind."

"That's why you're sus, guys aren't kind," she states what most girls always believe, and a sigh escapes me, no matter how much I understand her. "I'm not like other guys," I say it in an ironic voice, even if I mean it, and a chortle runs out of her mouth. "Oh good, you're different."

"Yeah," I smile but enter the library, so I now keep it down and get to an empty table with her, in an empty area to be alone. I sit down and drop my stuff on my lap, and she does the same, and our eyes seek contact between us. "Why do you want to be here today?" her soft and soothing whispers reach my ears, and my lips curve up as a natural response to it. "I wanna work on our assignments with you."

"Hm. Which one?" she does not complain or show any bother. "Art history and art design."

"Okay, let's do it. I've already done the art history one entirely though," she opens her bag, this good student always gets ahead of me. "Alright, then show me what you did, and I'll copy," I joke with her while getting my laptop and book out, and she stops what she is doing to raise her eyebrows at me. "You think."

"You have to be forgiven," I poke her waist without letting her anticipate it, but she twitches and giggles, not standing it, and her hand catches my wrist pretty fast. "Stop."

"Why would I? I told you not to slap me last night, but you did, little brat," I put my hands in my pockets, and she ignores the truth. "It's because you slapped me," she shrugs, playing the victim, and she hugs her body to cup her waist and protect it. "You're such a..." I bite my lips, not believing the audacity she has. "You're the one who started it!" I whisper angrily and point my finger at her, leaning closer to her face.

"Me?" she rests her hand on her breasts, gazing at me as if she did not know what I am talking about. "You're lying."

"I wanna tackle you so bad right now," I lift my fist up to my mouth, staring at her into the eyes and not even kidding. She giggles at my face but gives a push into my arm, so I send a poke in her waist.

"I told you to—" she fakes some anger. "I'm leaving," she attempts to do, but I catch her by her skirt. "You stay here."

"Stop aiming my waist then! I'm going to laugh and get scolded or glared at because of you," she comes back on her chair to stay by my side, and I smirk with satisfaction. "We're kinda alone here."

"Maybe, but still, I'm loud when I'm being tickled," she opens her book, telling me she wants to work. "Hm, yeah," I do not know what to let out, so I do as her.

"By the way, did you like what I got you earlier?" she brings this back since I did not talk about it after the texts, and I nod, remembering how delicious it was. "I ate well, so thank you, even if it was not even sincere as when I got you the cookie and coffee."

"It was," she contradicts the words she said by text after walking away from me and my friends, and my eyes land on her with incredulity. "Do you have different personalities?"

"Maybe..." she mumbles, and this answer does not help me to stay quiet. She does not even try to deny the fact she is crazy.

•••

Feeling bored because of the work that I did not want to do, I peek in her direction again but notice she is kneading her shoulder as if she was in pain while studying.

I keep my attention on her, running my eyes up and down her neck that is exposed now that her hair is up, but she moves back to stretch, lifting her arms up, arching her back, and bending her head back with closed eyes. I smile at her behavior, but once I hear a small moan come from her, my mind messes up with me, and she goes back in a proper position but looks at me.

That sounded so good.

"I'm gonna leave, I'd like to go out to eat today," she whispers, remaining in her position to have her back straight. "Oh, are you going with friends?" I slowly tidy up since I do not want to stay here without her, and she shakes her head. "No, I don't have anyone here to enjoy my time with. They're all fake."

"Aera and all those bitches are just not the right people to hang out with, you should make new friends," I give her the reason why she feels like that, and she shows some agreement. "I know, but I'm not the type of person who makes friends, I'm kinda shy and awkward, so I never know how to start a conversation."

"Shy and awkward?" I repeat what sounds impossible to me. "You're so chill and good to be with. What are you even talking about?"

My response puts a smile on her face, and she closes the zipper of her bag. "It's because you make me feel comfortable, and you're the one who came up to me first."

"Yeah, but still. You don't seem awkward at all, maybe a little shy," a chuckle but find it cute. "But not awkward. You're fun and sweet."

"Sweet?" she only focuses on this word I should have avoided, and she manages to make me stutter. "I...It was a joke, I didn't mean it," I pray for her to not have trust issues, and I stand up to escape this. "Uh uh. A joke," she follows my moves and puts her bag on her shoulders.

"Where are you going to eat though?" I try everything to get invited, not daring to ask if I can join her. "There's a barbecue restaurant nearby, and since I'm craving for some meat, I'm gonna go there. It's Friday, so I want something to make this day special," she smiles and steps out of the building with me.

She wants some meat. Yeah.

"Oh, great. Hope you'll have a good meal then," I hide my disappointment. "Thank you, but what about you? What are you going to do?" she cares a bit about me, and my heart softens at the attention. "I'm probably going to eat and sleep, I worked enough today."

"What are you going to eat?" she fixes her bun, and I blow some air out. "Well...some good and expensive rice balls and ramen."

"Oh, sounds very nice," the irony in her sentence makes me chortle, but I stop in front of the dorm.

"Do you want to eat with me?" the question I have been waiting to hear finally leaves her mouth, but since I do not want to seem obsessed or like I was impatiently hoping for her to ask it, I act like I am thinking. "Well, are you sure you don't mind?"

"Do you think I'd have to ask you if I minded?" she knows how to reply, and I smile. "True...I come then. I'm starving."

"Great, let's just leave our stuff in our rooms and meet here, is it okay?" she asks me, and I agree with this idea. "Yeah, we'll be more comfortable," I nod my head, and we both head to our rooms to get rid of the unnecessary bag and books we have.

"Are you ready?" I smile at her after waiting all by myself at the gate for more than five minutes, and she gives me the go-ahead to leave this place. "Alright, let's go," I step backwards to let her go forth and lead the way, and I stand by her side to walk together towards the place she knows more than I do.

"Do you often go there?" I do not let any moment of silence remain for too long, feeling better when I chat with her and get to know her more. "Only on Fridays or weekends because it's always better. I don't feel rushed or anything like that, and I know that once I go back to my room, I can chill and rest without thinking about the next morning."

"I feel you. I always wait for the end of the week to do something as well, we don't feel any stress when we have time to do what we want, and we get to enjoy it more," I share her opinion, relating to it. "Yeah, I don't understand how people can enjoy going out during the week, it's way too stressful, we have too much work to do, I wouldn't be able to think about anything by the assignments I have."

"Same," I do not hide the fact that we both have a similar mindset considering this, and she turns her head towards me. "You have good grades, so I'm not surprised."

I look into her eyes and smile, but the cold weather forces me to put my hood on. "I don't have good grades, I'm just, like, 'meh' you know. I'm not good, not bad, I'm just struggling to stay at this level," I chuckle but hate how real the suffering is. "I'm 'meh' too then," she repeats this word to make fun of me, and I lick my lips but grin bitterly. "Stop always mocking me, goddammit."

"I'm not," she denies it again, always pretending to be innocent when she seems like the worst brat ever. "Sure. You're an angel. You never do anything wrong, you're always soft and sweet," I do not mean a single word full of sarcasm, but she plays along to bug me. "Exactly. You finally see it, took you long enough," she hastens the speed of her legs to reach the doors of the restaurant out and opens one of them, but she holds it and glances up at me. "Come on. I'm a gentlewoman."

I shake my head while scoffing but enter the place, and I set my attention back on her to make sure she is still near me. "Pick the table you want," I let her decide, and she heads towards one that is in a corner with no hesitation as if she was used to being there.

I take my hood off to not seem rude, and I sit down by her side, on the comfortable seat that is against the wall. Since I am the man, I take the responsibility to call the waiter and ask for the menu, and once the man comes to us, I thank him and give one card to y/n.

"Thank you," her soft response warms my heart up, and I smile to myself but take a look at the food. "We should order one serving of meat for us if we want the same," she suggests to do, which I believe to be better since the price might go up pretty quickly. "Yeah, which one do you want?" I do not care about my taste but hers in priority, and she points her finger at one line right away. "Beef brisket, and you?" she focuses on me, but I change my mind after hearing her. "Same."

I just want us to eat together.

"Great, let's order some rice, kimchi, oh, and have you already tried the steamed beef dumplings?" she mentions something I have not noticed on the menu yet, and I tell her no. "I've only been eating the pork ones that my mom made since I'm a kid."

"Okay, let's order this then, you'll love it," she speaks and adds more to the list as if she was not even paying attention to the price while I can feel the sweat full of lack of money that rolls down my skin the more I count the cost of this dinner. "Is there something particular you'd like to eat or drink?"

"No, I'm fine with what you picked," I do not worsen the check since I am willing to pay for us. "Sure? You didn't even order anything."

"I like what you picked so I don't need more, don't worry," I put the card down and peek at her, but she keeps her eyes on me as if she could not believe my answer. "What about the drink?"

"Some beer will be good," I offer something that will maybe help to swallow this, but her lips form a pout of bother, and she glances back at the menu. "I'll order a soda."

"You don't like alcohol?" I change the topic to prevent her from asking me to get something for myself, and she shrugs. "I like beer, but I'm eighteen..."

"Oh," I laugh, realizing that she is too young. "You're a baby, that's why," I tease her but earn what I want from her, and she emits a 'tsk'. "You're nineteen, aren't you? You're just a few months older, so shut up."

I still scoff to annoy her, but knowing that the order is done, I call the waiter, and a short minute is enough to tell him all the things we picked and allow him to write them down. "Your food will be here in a short moment," he retrieves the cards and leaves us alone, so I lay my forearms over the table, but feel y/n's gaze on me.

I know she is staring, I can see it from the corner of my eye, and this is pretty satisfying but overwhelming.
