"Have you thought about talking to Maya again? Your relationship with her is getting worse". Jimin asked Taehyung after minutes of silently sitting in the balcony of their bedroom. The weather looked pleasant.

"I've been trying to talk to her for the past 5 years. She hates me and I don't know if I can ever correct the impression she has about me". Taehyung said sadly, his eyes still fixed on the night sky.

"She's your daughter. Your first pup. You were literally inseparable before but no matter what happened you both can't continue like this forever".

"You think she'll hear me out?"

"Of course. Somewhere in that heart of hers is your little girl and she loves you so much". Jimin smiled at the Alpha.

There was a stretched silence because Taehyung couldn't stop thinking and asking himself what he ever did to deserve an Omega like Jimin. Since he met Jimin, he couldn't remember any time the Omega did him wrong. Jimin had always been a savior, a companion and a confidant. It just took the Alpha so long to see the diamond in the rough. How could he not have realized that Jimin was all he ever needed. How could he not have returned Jimin's unconditional love. The most taunting part of it all was that the Omega never gave up on him all these years, even in the midst of all the troubles they faced.

Well, part of it was that Jimin still had his mating mark so it was nearly impossible to leave the Alpha and the other part was simply because Jimin had a pure heart.

Was Jimin still in love with the Alpha? He wasn't sure about that. It had been a long time since he cared about his own emotions. All his focus was on taking care of a disabled husband and two growing children. He didn't have time for his own feelings anymore. What was he supposed to do with romance at his age anyway. He was not getting any younger, so there was no need thinking of such silly things. All Jimin prayed for was that his kids don't end up like him and that they find very good mates that'd make their lives happy.

"Thank you". Taehyung said to the Omega.

"Huh?" Jimin snapped out of his thoughts and looked at the Alpha.

"Thank you for being such a wonderful parent to our kids. You are better and stronger than two Alphas combined". Taehyung praised.

"I am doing what I should do". Jimin glanced at the Alpha briefly and turned back to look at the sky. His wolf would have rolled around at the praise but not anymore. The Omega was drained. He had no emotions to offer, he had no reactions to compliments.

"We should go in, it's getting chilly". Jimin took a deep breath before standing from his sit to go behind the alpha.

"Yeah". Taehyung agreed. Even though he wanted to stay out more, Jimin looked sleepy so it was fair to go in with him. He wouldn't want to stress the Omega by remaining outside and waking him up later to help him get on the bed.

Jimin slowly rolled the Alpha's wheelchair into their bedroom and shut the balcony doors. Next thing was the hard part and by that, it meant that Jimin had to help the Alpha move from the wheelchair to the bed. Jimin may have done that a lot of times but he would never get used to it because the Alpha was hella heavy. Even Taehyung was marvelled that Jimin was able to lift him all the time. His fragile baby was doing all that heavy work all for him.

"Do you wanna use the bathroom or anything?" Jimin asked as he rolled up his sleeves ready to lift Taehyung.

"No, I'm good". The Alpha answered.

"Okay, I'm gonna get you to bed on the count of three". Jimin put his hands under the Alpha's arms and tried lifting him. "Fuck, you're some huge Alpha I swear...okay, one, two...three". The Omega grunted as he used all his energy.

Finally he got Taehyung to lay on the bed then he leaned forward to place the pillows under properly. Taehyung couldn't stop staring the whole time. The more he looked at Jimin, the more it felt like he was falling in love again. His heart was beating faster than usual and it wouldn't stop. When the Omega was done tucking him into the bed, he wanted to move away but Taehyung held his wrist.

"Do you need something?" Jimin asked, his attention not really on the Alpha's intense gaze.

"I miss you Jimin". Taehyung confessed truthfully. Somehow those words came out more of a plea as if it hurt to even say it.

That was when the Omega actually paid attention to Taehyung and his eyes softened. He looked at his wrist which the Alpha was still holding, then he looked at the Alpha's face and back at his wrist.

"Goodnight Taehyung". Jimin muttered and tried getting away from the Alpha's hold.

"I miss my best friend". Taehyung held the Omega tighter.

"I...I...umm..I really need to...umm go to sleep". Jimin forcefully pulled away and walked hastily to the bathroom. His heart was beating as fast as Taehyung's own. He held his chest once he entered the bathroom. Why was Taehyung trying to open pages of his heart that he had forgotten. Why was the Alpha trying to unlock a part of his emotions that he had locked up.

After what seemed like hours, Jimin assumed that the alpha must have slept off, so he tiptoed out of the bathroom and quietly snuck into the bed.

"Jimin". The Alpha called. He was still wide awake waiting for Jimin.

"We're good the way we are". Jimin mumbled into the pillow.

"But I need you back. I need us back. I need my Omega back. I need our family back". The Alpha's voice cracked but he continued. "I know I'm not capable of taking care of you like an Alpha should but I..."

"I am content with whatever life throws at me. I won't ever complain about anything, let's not talk about things we can't change". Jimin stated seriously.

"I want to court you properly Jimin". The Alpha had been thinking about it but at that moment, he was so certain.

"Don't be ridiculous Taehyung. I'm very sure I didn't give you alcohol so I don't know how you got drunk". Jimin scoffed finding the Alpha's statement unbelievable.

"I want to mate you again... properly and honorably". Taehyung added.

The Omega's ears perked up at that and he quickly turned to face Taehyung with wide eyes and open mouth. There were words to say but they refused to come out. The Alpha was looking straight into his eyes to prove he was dead serious and no matter what his physical condition was, he wanted this Omega and he was going to court him just the way an Omega likes it.
