"What do you think you are doing?" Jimin screamed as he ran to help the Alpha up.

Taehyung just stayed on the floor feeling helpless and useless. He knew he wouldn't be able to walk again, the doctors had said it several times that it was impossible to walk again and it was true because it'd been 5 whole years. Still, the Alpha wanted to try.

"Just leave me alone Jimin. You shouldn't help me. You should go out there and live your life. I am just a worthless burden to you". The Alpha broke down for the second time that morning.

Jimin sighed in annoyance because he wasn't in the mood to go back and forth on the same topic. He already made up his mind to stay with Taehyung but the Alpha was too hard headed to understand. Jimin rolled his eyes at the Alpha's pitiful state but still helped him to get back on the wheelchair.

"I told you I'm not going anywhere. Where do you want me to go though? Are you crazy?" The Omega's voice shook and tears threatened to roll down his cheeks.

"But I'm not able to do my duties as an Alpha". Taehyung complained again.

"For fuck sake I'm cooking but you're gonna make the food burn because you decided to be so dramatic this morning. I'm not going anywhere, get that into your head. Jeez!" Jimin stated before walking out of the living room after making sure that Taehyung was sitting properly in the wheelchair.

He too wanted to cry but what use would it be. He wiped his tears with the paws of his sweater and continued to cook, occasionally looking back to make sure Taehyung wasn't trying to stand up again. Their eyes would meet Everytime he looked back but it was nothing magical. Who would have thought that the Omega used to be in love with Taehyung. Who would have thought they were best friends. Who would have thought that he used to be flustered around the Alpha. But not anymore. The spark wasn't there anymore and the flame of their love was long gone.

Everyday was just a routine and living together was just a duty. Their home was cold and quiet. None of them knew if things would ever get better.

"Can I help?" The Alpha suddenly asked, voice loud enough for Jimin to hear him.

"Don't worry". Jimin simply replied without looking back at Taehyung who was already rolling his wheelchair towards the kitchen.

"Let me do something at least, I'm bored". Taehyung asked again. He was already behind the omega.

"I told you not to worry". Jimin sighed in defeat and looked around the counter to check for anything the Alpha could help prepare. He got some carrots, a knife and a bowl which he gave the Alpha.

"Slice them gently". Jimin instructed as he placed the bowl and carrots on the Alpha's lap. Even though most parts of the Alpha's body couldn't move, at least his hands could .

Jimin continued cooking while Taehyung helped but somehow, the Alpha couldn't take his eyes off his Omega. The younger had become skinny over the years. Taehyung was thinking of what he could do to make things right. After all, disability shouldn't be the end of one's life. He wanted his Omega to be happy again. While he thought of all those things, Jimin suddenly turned to collect the carrots but his eyes met Taehyung's own and the Alpha suddenly snapped out of his thought and mistakenly cut his finger.

"What the hell are you looking at Kim Taehyung?" The Omega quickly took the knife from Taehyung and bent down to check his bleeding finger.

The Alpha didn't even know what to say or do. He just stared at Jimin's movements as if he was lost. The Omega didn't think twice before he took Taehyung's finger and put it in his mouth to suck on the blood. The Alpha's eyes widened at Jimin's action and the close proximity between them.

"I told you I didn't need help". Jimin said after he made sure that Alpha's finger had stopped bleeding.

"Thank you". Taehyung said in a small voice. His breath fanned on the Omega's face and Jimin finally realized how close he was to the Alpha's face.

Jimin still had the Alpha's finger in his hand and their eyes were fixed on each other. It was as if time had stopped and he couldn't move away from the Alpha. Maybe it was because that was the first time he had looked into the Alpha's eyes after so many years. Maybe it was because Taehyung's eyes instantly reminded him of why he fell in love with him so many years ago. Maybe it was because his heart started beating so fast. They both stayed like that staring at each other until Taehyung leaned over and kissed the Omega's soft lips. They were still as soft as he could remember and he wouldn't deny he missed the feeling of those lips.

The Omega pulled away and cleared his throat. He looked around to make sure the kids didn't see that. The blush on his cheeks couldn't be hidden but he still tried to hide how tingly he felt.

"I'm so sorry about that". Taehyung apologized and started rolling his wheelchair out of the kitchen. He was cursing himself for making the Omega uncomfortable.

Jimin didn't respond to the apology neither did he spare the Alpha a glance. He just went back to cooking, pretending like none of that happened.

Taemin ran with all his speed to his sister's room because there was no way he would keep quiet about what he saw in the kitchen. The 7 years old had seen his parents kiss and stare at each other just like the actors in a romantic movie. He was going to get a glass of water when he beheld that sight and quickly ran away without trying to interrupt the couple. The boy was extremely excited to see his parents that close because he never witnessed any romantic moment between them and he never heard them confess love to each other like other couples did.

Taemin always wondered if his parents ever loved each other but after witnessing that moment, he thought that whatever was going on in the family had come to an end.

"Noona, Noona!" The boy called his sister who had her headphone on.

"What do you want?" Maya glared at Taemin before taking off her headphone.

"Daddy and Mama were kissing in the kitchen. I saw them with my two big eyes!". The boy exclaimed happily as he sat beside his sister on the bed.

"That's not true. They don't like each other anymore. Now go away, I am listening to music". Maya shooed the boy away.

"I promise, I really saw them". Taemin insisted.

"Maya, Taemin. Breakfast is ready". Jimin called out from the kitchen.

Taemin and Maya looked at each other and smiled before making their way downstairs to answer their Mama. They had suspicious looks on their faces and Jimin knew they were up to no good because whenever his two kids are together, they were planning something mischievous.

"Morning Mama, morning daddy". Taemin greeted cheerfully and sat opposite Jimin. The Alpha and Omega nodded at their son in acknowledgement and continued eating.

"Morning Mama". Maya greeted and sat beside her brother. She totally ignored her father's presence. They were already used to it but Jimin would always scold her for being disrespectful to the Alpha.

"Has your father become too small that you can't greet him?" The Omega glared at his daughter.

"Morning dad". Maya mumbled and rolled her eyes.

"What was that?" Jimin asked.

"I said morning dad". Maya spoke louder.

"Better". The Omega gave his daughter one more warning look and continued eating.

Taehyung couldn't help but chuckle at the interaction and it got the Omega's attention. Jimin looked at him curiously and cocked his eyebrow as if asking the alpha what was funny.

"What's funny?" Jimin finally asked.

"Oh...umm nothing". The Alpha realized he was chuckling and staring for too long. He cleared his throat and looked away immediately.

Taemin and Maya shared a look before giggling. They may have planned to set their parents up but it was left for only two of them to know.
