Before Jimin and Maya's arrival, Taehyung had installed a car seat at the back for Maya and that was where the sleeping child sat while Jimin sat beside Taehyung in front.

Both Taehyung and Jimin were quiet. Too quiet for best friends who just met face to face after a long time. Taehyung was struggling to focus on the road while Jimin bit his lips and tapped his knees, he did anything to distract him from Taehyung.

Jimin noticed how Taehyung would clench his jaw and how he held the steering wheel so tight that the veins in his arms were visible. The Omega also knew that if he looked down at the Alpha's lap, he might behold a sight that would be difficult to forget so he looked out the window instead.

"I'm sorry you have to witness this Jimin. I'll have more suppressants to take care of this ". Taehyung apologized.

"It's fine I understand. It's just been awkward since we got here. I don't want you to think that I would ever feel disgusted by you for being in your rut". Jimin consoled the alpha with a smile.

"Ah, this is so weird". Taehyung complained, cringing at the situation.

"Nothing is weird. I've been around Alphas during their ruts".

"And you...you helped with...you know?" Taehyung's eyes snap briefly at the Omega, a bit alert at the mention of being around other Alphas during their ruts.

"Well, I've only helped two of my exes during their ruts. Thought they'd mark me after that". Jimin said sadly.

"Oh...that must have been heartbreaking".

"Yeah but I don't mind doing it again for someone I love". Jimin spoke lovingly as he stared at Taehyung.

Taehyung caught his eyes and it looked as if the omega was indirectly confessing his feelings. The stare was long, almost making the alpha lose focus. A car honked and drove past them, the angry driver cursing at Taehyung as he zoomed off.

"Eyes on the road Mr. Kim". Jimin nudged the alpha and looked away shyly.

Taehyung's house in Japan was small. It was smaller than what Jimin expected to be honest but the Alpha lived alone and wasn't planning to start a family so it was understandable that he chose to stay in a small place.

Things were not going so well for the alpha in Japan. Most of his income went straight to his mother for their home bills and Maya's expenses which included Jimin's salary, so Taehyung had to live a simple lifestyle in Japan to make sure Maya didn't lack anything but he wouldn't bother telling anyone all that.

"So I have just one bedroom but I already made arrangements before you guys arrived. You and Maya would take my room and I'll sort myself out when I want to sleep". Taehyung informed.

"You're not sleeping on the couch". Jimin countered.

"No I'm not. I got a spare bed. I'll bring it to the living room at night".

"Oh ok...but we can share the same bed. I'm not complaining ". Jimin mumbled.

"What?"

"We can share the bed". Jimin said more firmly.

"No, I don't want to cause you any discomfort. I'll be fine". Taehyung scratched his nape and looked away from the omega.

Things were going smoothly and the best friends had normal conversations. They set up the room and arranged the closet, then they ate and played with Maya. The little female Alpha was quite energetic so Taehyung and Jimin had played with her all evening until she got tired and passed out.

After Jimin had bathed her, he decided to join Taehyung in the living room. Bad idea.

Jimin expected the living to still be lit or at least the television to still be on but it seemed like Taehyung already slept off before he finished putting Maya to sleep. He stared at the snacks he had brought for him and Taehyung to eat while watching a movie and decided to keep them back in the Kitchen. Since Taehyung already turned off the lights, he was probably sleeping.

As the Omega took the first step into the Kitchen, the lights came on and Taehyung was suddenly behind Jimin, frightening the omega and causing him to drop the snacks on the floor.

"Kim freaking Taehyung, don't do shit like that. Fuck I almost peed my shorts". Jimin clutched his chest as he breathed rapidly.

"I wanted to...sca...scare you". Taehyung trailed off as he looked at Jimin from head to toe.

Jimin was in his shorts and a tank top. To justify why he was dressed like that in an Alpha's house, Jimin simply didn't know Taehyung would be in his rut during their visit so he had packed all the most comfortable night wears. It wasn't even that bad but it affected the Alpha.

"I umm...was thinking we could spend some time together before going to sleep. But it seems you are ready to sleep now". Jimin stuttered, unable to maintain a second of eye contact.

"That's... that's a good idea". Taehyung replied with uncertainty in his tone.

Taehyung looked away when he almost drooled over Jimin's thighs. There was an awkward silence and stare before Jimin decided to pick the snacks that he dropped.

No matter how many times Jimin tried to start a long conversation or just talk about the movie they were watching, Taehyung would simply nod or answer with one word.

"Are you seriously going to be like this because of your rut? You take suppressants don't you?" The Omega asked, voice almost whiny due to Taehyung's behavior.

"What would you have me do?" Taehyung shot back.

"Interact with me, duh".

"Well, I'm talking to you. Aren't I?"

"You're not acting like we're best friends".

"You don't expect me to be that close to you in this state, do you?"

"And what's so wrong with being that close to me?"

"We're friends Jimin. We can't be like that".

"I want us to be like that Taehyung".

"What are you talking about?"

"You're fighting every fiber in you just to resist me. Like I disgust you like you don't find me worthy to help you out. I've been giving you hints to show that I want to help you with your rut but you ignored me like shit". Jimin was already shedding tears as he spoke.

"Jimin it's not like that. I don't want to ruin our friendship because of some stupid rut".

"I like you Taehyung, I like you more than a friend. Why would I want to do this if I didn't have feelings for you". Jimin wiped his tears and tried to walk away.

"You have feelings for me?" Taehyung grabbed the Omega's wrist and stood in his way.

"No, forget about it. Let go of me and forget I ever said anything like that.

"Jimin..."

"Let go of me, Mr. Kim".

"Jimin listen..."

"I don't want to hear anything".

"Don't be so fucking stubborn, listen to me Omega!" Taehyung used his alpha voice causing Jimin to shudder immediately.

"I want you too Jimin". Taehyung shocked the omega and his grip left his wrist to hold Jimin's waist instead.

"Then take me Alpha". Jimin whispered to the alpha seductively.

Jimin knew deep down that whatever it was that would happen between him and Taehyung was all due to the heat of the moment. It would have been better if they had a proper conversation about their feelings and the sudden confession before doing anything.

But Jimin was an Omega in love and when an Omega fell in love, the brain worked part-time. He would do anything for the Alpha that had his heart.
