"H-he what?" She gasped. Tears started brimming in the corner of her eyes. She looked up at Jaemin who's shoulders had dropped, his face emotionless.
"I knew that you were stressed with all of the solo stuff and you know" He mumbled, glaring between them, indicated that he was talking about their break-up. "And I knew that you missed them a lot over winter break. So I called them to see when they could come, and paid for their tickets." He replied. Tears slowly started rolling down her face.
"You are very lucky to have such an amazing boyfriend. He loves you a lot, you know." Her father said. She bit her lip and looked over at Jaemin's direction. He smiled, putting on a mask. But she knew his true emotions.
"H-he does. I l-love that about him." She said, starting to sob.
"Jinnie, what's wrong?" Her brother asked, patting the top of her head. She looked over at Jaemin, who was staring at the ground.
"I j-just missed you guys so much!" She cried. They smiled, embracing her into a hug. She looked at Jaemin, mouthing the words 'I'm sorry'. He showed a sad smile before walking to his room.

"So you dump the guy and then he surprises you buy shipping your family over here?" Haechan said. She sighed. Jeno, Haechan, Mark and Hyejin had gone out to eat brunch.
"Well, kind of. I just- I didn't expect that to happen." She replied. Jeno clicked his tongue.
"And they are not amazon packages. He didn't ship them, he brought them here." He corrected. Haechan Shrugged.
"What do you mean 'kind of?' Either you broke up with him or not." Renjun said. She sighed again.
"I- well... Um, We got interrupted so we didn't finalize the break up." She claimed. Mark furrowed his eyebrows.
"So you broke up with him, but now that he surprises you by shipping-" He was interrupted by Jeno.
"Brought over not shipped" He corrected.
Mark looked at him. "Brought them over here, you're not breaking up with him anymore?" He asked. She shrugged, taking a sip of her bubble te. Jeno shook his head.
"People, you are not taking this seriously. The important question here is why aren't you with your family right now?" He asked.
"We talked almost all night. And they were getting tired because of the jet lag. So I let them go rest." She said. Renjun sighed.
"Well you have to do something. And What about the company? You're gonna tell them you guys broke up? And your parents just said all these wonderful things about him and you're gonna just say 'oh hey. Forgot to mention that I crushed his heart last night' " He asked. She gasped.
"I forgot about that! God, what are we gonna do?" She asked no one in particular. She put her head in her hands. Mark sighed.
"Hyejin you need to talk to Jaemin. We can't help you in the way you want to." He said. She looked up at him and pouted.
"I know. Thank you though," she said. Her phone rang. Her body tensed when she read the name.
"Speaking of. Jaemin wants to talk." She waved goodbye before leaving. Renjun turned to Mark.
"You still love her?" He asked. Mark chuckled.
"I always will. I'm just learning how to not love her that way." He said, as he watched her walk away.

Hyejin walked into the dorm slowly. She saw Chenle and Jisung putting on their shoes. "Where are you guys going?" She asked. Chenle stood up.

"We're going to the hyung's dorm. We want to go visit them." He said. She smiled. "Can you bring back Jeno's hoodie that I stole?I left it there." She asked. Jisung chuckled. He nodded before they walked out. Jaemin walked into the living room.
"H-hey Jaemin." She said. He nodded in return. They both sat down on the couch.
"Y-your family went back to the hotel?"
" Y-yeah. They're sleeping." She said. He nodded.
" So about yesterday-" She said. He sighed.
"You don't have to say anything. I know you don't think we should be together and If that's what you want.. What you need, then we should just get it over with." He said. She furrowed his eyebrows.
"Don't you mean we?" She asked. He shrugged.
"Not really. But I want to see you happy. And if this makes you happy then I'm happy. Okay?" He forced. She shook her head.
"No, not okay. I know you're hiding something." She said. He scoffed.
"I-im not hiding anything." He stuttered. She raised an eyebrow.
"I know you very well, Jaemin. Don't lie to me." She said. He sighed.
"Well I can't say that I feel the same. Because I don't. I really don't. I didn't expect you to bring this up. I w-wasnt ready." He said. She look down at her lap.
"I know but we fight a lot"
I know that we fought a lot and I know you hate fighting. But in a relationship, fighting is normal! It's healthy sometimes. I don't think we should throw away something because of some petty arguments." He explained. She widened her eyes.
"That's not fair." She whispered. He scoffed.
"Well what do you want me to say? You asked me to tell the truth." He said. She bit her lip.
"It's not fair. You c-can't just throw that at me last minute. You know that throws everything off!" She said. He shrugged.
"You can't expect me to agree with you all the time! Because I do. I think we are great together. Without you wrapped around me, I can't sleep. Without you hyping me up during practices, I'm not as confident. When..." His voice started trembling and his eyes watered. "When you kiss me, my whole body fills with warmth and brightens my day." He said. She stood there, tears forming in the corner of her eyes. She rarely saw Jaemin cry because she hated seeing him upset. So he always tried to stay strong for her.
"W-we... we can do some of that stuff together, even if we aren't together." She suggested. He shook his head.
"It's not the same. I can't stop thinking about you Hyejin" He sniffed. She bit her lip to stop it from quivering. Tears slowly ran down her cheeks.
"You have to stop thinking about me. We don't work. you have to find a way to stop." She said. He scoffed
"I can't"
"A-and why not?" He ran a hand through his hair.
"Because I love you!" He yelled. A tear rolled down his cheek, yet he didn't seem to mind.
"I love you too but I can't love you like that anymore because we don-"
"WE DO! We do work! Everyone Sees it but you! You and I are perfect! But you want to lie to yourself and believe that we don't!" Hyejin let the tears continue to fall down her face.
"I-i'm... I'm gonna go, check on my family." She said. She grabbed her phone and purse and walked to the door. She swung it open to reveal Jeno and Renjun.

"Wha- Are you okay?" Renjun asked. She nodded. Jeno looked at her and then over at Jaemin.
"What did he do? Did he hurt you?" He asked. She shook her head.
"I'm fine, okay!?" she shoved them and ran out of the room. Jeno looked up at his friend.
"Again? You wanted to hurt her twice?" He yelled. Jaemin shook his head.
"I didn't do anything! It's not my fault!" He said. Jeno rolled his eyes and stomped into his room.
~~~
"You know, I watched your vlives, and I thought you were dating the other one... Jeno?" Her brother said. She chuckled.
"Haejoon, don't tease her." Her mother said. Hyejin laughed again.
"No it's fine. It makes him feel better because he doesn't have a girlfriend. So he talks about my boyfriend," she teased. He gasped, throwing a fry at her. She threw one back.
"Hey! Hey! You two, no fighting!" Her father said. They both stopped, looking down at their laps.
"Oh who am I kidding, I missed the fighting." He chuckled. They all laughed. Hyejin smiled.
"I missed it too. Hey remember when mom bought me my first make-up kit and you thought it all out of the second floor window, just to see how loud it would sound?" She said. Her brother let out a snort.
"I remember that! Mom almost killed me." He said. She shook her head.
"Hey why didn't you bring Jaemin? We would have loved to have him here." Her dad said. She picked at her food.
"Um... He had something to do. And he thinks that we should just hang out as a family, you know." She said. Her mother sighed.
"Nonsense! He is family too. You know we haven't started our day of fun yet, so you should invite him!" She said, grabbing her phone. She widened her eyes and snatched it.
"No mom, we don't have to do that!" She said. Her mother looked at her.
"W-what are you doing? I mean you don't want your boyfriend over? It would be fun!"
"No it would be awkward!" She said. Her brother furrowed his eyebrows.
"Things between me and Jaemin haven't been so... Perfect." She said. He said. She but her lip.
"Jaemin and I are thinking about breaking up. We don't think we'll last." She said. They sat in silence.
"Why?" Her mother said. She looked up.
"Huh?'
"Why did you guys break up? I know you and I know Jaemin." She said. Hyejin sighed.
"We fought a lot. And I know what your gonna say. 'Its normal to fight-" She was interrupted by a soft sigh.
"Because it is normal to fight! You know how much your father and I fight?" She said. Hyejin chuckled.
"I just was scared that maybe we decided to be together to soon. Maybe I wasn't ready." She said. Hejoon scoffed.
"No one is ever ready. You don't always have to prepare yourself because you don't know what the outcome will be." He said. Her father nodded.
"It's okay to be scared. And you have a lot to learn. But don't you think that you would rather learn and face it all with Jaemin?" He asked. She sighed.
"Haejoon, for a single guy, you give pretty good dating advice." She said. He chuckled sarcastically, throwing a fry at her.
~~~
"Okay guys were here." Their manager said. Hyejin fiddled with her fingers. She slowly unbuckled her seat belt. Jaemin got out of the car and turned around to see her hesitating to get out of the car.
"Come on!" He urged. She looked up.
"We're really doing this?"
"The only way for us to have a formal break up, is to go tell the ceo." He said. She sighed, wiping a tear that slowly fell down her face. She got out of the car and walked alongside him. They both stopped right in front of the bright sign.
A memory from the day where they told the manager that they were together flashed in their minds.
~~~
"N-no it's not you! I-I'm scared, ''she said. Her voice was hidden between her sobs.
"Of what, love?" He said.
"He's going to say no! H-he's going to say no. Imagine being happy and everything feels right! A-and he's just gonna say no!" She cried into his shoulder.
"You were just saying that he shouldn't give up! And here you are giving up!" He said. She inhaled, trying to calm down.
"H-how am I supposed to have h-hope I-if the manager doesn't even think we'll be together!" She said. Jaemin stood there, caressing her back.
He didn't have an honest answer for her. He didn't know what to say to comfort her. The only thing he could do is stand there and hold her.
"Hey. It's been a long day. You and I are going to go home, then you're going to take a shower and put on one of your favorite pajamas. Then We're going to go to bed. And if you can't fall asleep, I'll sleep with you tonight. I'll be there for you. Ok?" She nodded her head and wiped her tears.
"Ok," she sighed. They got into the car and headed home.
~~~
Jaemin looked down to see a small smile on her face while tears ran down and soaked the hem of her shirt. He slowly intertwined their two hands. She looked up at him.
"I-i'm so sorry. F-for doing this." She whispered. He furrowed his eyebrows.
"Sorry for wha-" She pulled him down, connecting their lips. His arms immediately linked around her waist, lifting her up a little. She ran her fingers through his hair. She had never shared a kiss like this with him in a while. It was needy, yet gentle. Frisky, yet subtle. She knew that if she had not pulled away right now, they would have caused a huge scene. She slowly removed herself from his plump lips.
"I know this is confusing a-and complicated. But I m-made a mistake." She whimpered. He raised an eyebrow. She pulled away from his embrace and groaned in frustration. Jaemin stood there, dumbfounded.
"I c-can't let go of what we have, what we could be just because of a few fights. B-but I'm scared that a few aeguments will turn into a horrible, unhealthy relationship. I'm scared we w-won't be happy, " She said. He stood there, with his hands in his pockets.
"We will be happy!" He argued. She turned around.
"We can't be sure of that. I just want to be happy. I don't you or me to end up hurting in the end. B-but everywhere I turn I see your face and I just think to myself screw it!" She chuckled. She sniffed. Jaemin walked up to her.
"I know being with you is a risk because of our job. And we are polar opposites, which means we may not know how each day will end for us. We might end up cuddling one night or arguing the next. That is what relationships are about. Being with you is a risk but it's one I'm willing to take." He spoke firmly.
"So yeah. Screw it! Because I love you Hyejin! And I'm not leaving you." He argued. She sighed. He pulled her into a hug.
"I'm scared." She said, crying into her chest. He kissed the top of her head.
"You would be a fool if you weren't," He replied. She looked up at her boyfriend, who wiped away her tears with the pad of his thumbs.
"You know when I told you to get me out of your head?" She said. He nodded. She pulled him close for a short kiss.
"Screw it." She whispered, her lips hitting his softly as she spoke. He smiled.
"Remember when I told you that you shouldn't go solo? That you should stay with us?" He asked. She nodded. He, in return, pulled her in for another kiss.
"Screw it"
