The next day in class a lot of kids were asleep. Luis, Charlie and Averman slept in their seats in the front while (Y/n) and Dean slept in their seats in the back. Ms.Mackay blamed it all on the training and totally not because two of the kids didn't go to sleep until three in the morning.

When coach Bombay walked into the changing room that day, all the gear was in its place and the room was empty. He looked around but no one was there.

"I canceled their practise." Ms.Mackay said, causing Coach Bombay to turn towards her.

"What are you talking about? Where are they?" Coach Bombay asked.

"They needed a day off. Trust me." Ms.Mackay said.

"I need them here for practise" Coach Bombay exclaimed.

"Well, they need to rest." Ms.Mackay yelled back.

"You've been running those children ragged. They can barely stay awake in class. They're calling you captain blood." Ms.Mackay added.

"I am preparing these kids for battle. Can you understand that? We win the gold, we go on to bigger things." coach Bombay exclaimed.

"Bigger things?" Ms.Mackay asked.

"That's right!" Bombay exclaimed.

"Please! Gordon, it's a game! You said it yourself. Games should be fun, remember?" Ms.Mackay exclaimed before leaving

"And hold, two, three--"Dean exclaimed as they exercised before Julie interrupted.

"Coach isn't even here. Why do we have to be?" Julie asked.

"We have a game tonight. We have to workout." Dean said as the team continued stretching.

"I say mutiny. Who's with me?"Goldberg said as he stopped stretching.

"Goldberg, I'm too tired to mutiny." Dwayne said as he stood up.

"Come on guys. It's not like we couldn't use the conditioning." Julie said

"Speak for yourself, cat." Dean said.

"Her name is Julie, not 'cat'" Adam said as he stood up and glared at Dean.

"Shit." (Y/n) mumbled as she stretched next to Averman and Fulton.

"Don't tell me how to talk, rich boy!"Dean exclaimed as he pushed Adam back.

"Hey, Portman, chill!" Fulton exclaimed. Before things could escalate (Y/n) tried to push Dean away but ended up caught in the middle.

"Hey, yo, Team U.S.A. what are you going to do today, a million jumping jacks? The same kid from before yelled.

"This kid's crazier than me. Forget about him. Look, Fulton!" Dean said before turning around and pointing at Fulton.

"Hey, chill!" (Y/n) exclaimed before pushing Dean's hand down. With the stress and heat she was done with everybody's shit. While (Y/n) dealt with Dean, Jesse squeezed his way to the front.

"Hey, man, I'm getting sick of you!" Jesse exclaimed.

"I'm getting sick of seeing the U.S.A. represented by a bunch of whining babies!" the kid yelled.

"Well, too bad you can't back up that mouth." Jesse said.

"Man, me and my boys could take you anytime, anywhere." the kid said.

"I don't see no 'boys'" Jesse said.

"I got'em waiting. Grab your gear and let's play some schoolyard puck." The kid yelled before being taken away. Team U.S.A looked at each other before leaving and getting their gear.

Team U.S.A stood in front of a group of street boys.

"My little brother Russ here has been telling me that you've been choking big time." a boy older than russ said.

"Well your brother's got a big mouth." Jesse responded, making everyone go quiet.

"He does, doesn't he." the older boy said with a smirk.

"Anyways we thought we'd call you out and see what we thought." the guy added.

"We know you can talk to the press and sign autographs." Russ said.

"We can do more than that." Luis said.

"Yeah? Well we can teach you how to play like the real Team U.S.A." the older boy said.

"And what would you know about it?"Dean asked. The kids smirked at each other before playing.

As soon as they started playing Dean got shoved into the fence.

"You gotta earn every inch." the guy said before backing off.

While team U.S.A played the rest sat on a bench and cheered

This time unlike at practise Goldberg had to play a regular position not goalie.

The tables had turned, Dean was getting shoved into the fence all day instead of the other way around.

The street boys kept scoring on Team U.S.A. Russ had managed to score before turning to get some water.

"Take a few breaths, slug some water...and get out there and do it again." Russ said as he threw his water at Charlie. Charlie caught it and dranks some before going back into the game.

"Don't just stand there come and get it." one of the boys exclaimed. Luis then popped out of nowhere and stole the puck.

"Don't mind if I do." Luis said before walking skating away. Luis took the puck the other way and scored but didn't stop in time.

"Whoa! Not again!" Luis exclaimed before crashing into the fence and falling on the ground. A hispanic boy then stopped in front of him and picked him up.

"Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey. Use the brakes, baby." he said to Luis before skating away.

Fulton ended up getting the puck and shooting, the puck hit the side of the can before bouncing up and landing on a car windshield. All the kids flinched when they heard the glass break.

"Eh, no sweat. It happens all the time." Russ's brother said.

"Excuse me! Can you throw it back please." Charlie said to the owner of the car.

"Here, kid. Alley-oop." the man said as he threw the puck back. Charlie then took the puck and scored.

Russ quickly lifted the puck before hitting it making it flip in the air before landing in the can.

"What the heck kinda shot was that?" Fulton asked as he skated next to Russ.

"Ah, you like that, huh? That's my knuckle puck. It's hard to be accurate but it drives goalies crazy." Russ answered.

Ken used his size and speed to avoid multiple players before passing the puck to Dwayne who scored.

"Sweet move, kid." Russ's older brother said

"Aw, you done messed up now kid! Come here, I'm gonna get you!" Russ's brother exclaimed as he approached Ken making him back up.

"I'm just messing with you. Okay listen." He said with a smile before stopping in front of Ken.

"When a guy comes at you the way I just did, you do this: stick, gloves and shirt." He said before throwing his stick then his gloves and finally pulling on Kens shirt.

"Yeah, okay. My turn. Stick, gloves and shirt." Ken said as he did exactly that on the other guy.

Russ and his boys stood against the fence as they waved goodbye to the team getting on the bus.

"Go, U.S.A. Go get em." Russ's brother said as the bus left.
