❝ there's one thing you ain't that I'll always be ❞
During their time with Dominic, the team had gotten to know him and vice versa. The team taught Dominic a bit about hockey and Dominic taught a few of them a piece of relativity simple choreography he had choreographed himself. Sophie and Julie were among the few who attempted to dance with the boy.
To say the two girls enjoyed his presence was an understatement. They loved being around him. He was just such a positive person to be around and Sophie and Julie loved that. It also helped that he was majorly cute. But all good things must come to an end.
"Alright team! It's time to go. We've got reservations for dinner," Mr. Tibbles spoke from the front of the room.
The team and Dominic exchanged goodbyes and the team slowly trickled their way out of the room. Before Julie and Sophie could leave however, Dominic stopped them.
"You both are amazing dancers. If hockey ever doesn't work out, you should definitely give dancing a shot. I'd love to work on something with you two," Dominic smiled as he spoke.
"That'd be amazing," Julie said as she attempted to contain her smile.
"We'll be here for as long as we keep winning so hopefully we'll be able to fit something in," Sophie suggested.
"That'd be great!"
After giving Dominic the number to their hotel room, the two girls ran to catch up with their team. They made it onto the bus and sat next to each other softly chatting with excitement.
"What's got you two gals so happy?" Dwayne asked the window seat in row across from them.
"Dom wants to work with us," Julie squealed as she practically jumped in her seat.

"Oh so we're on a nickname basis now aren't we?" Kenny teased the two from next to Dwayne.
"Have I mentioned he's gorgeous?" Sophie pretended to faint across the aisle into Kenny's lap.
"Only every minute of everyday sweetheart," Dean teased, looking over his seat in front of Dwayne.
Sophie playfully rolled her eyes before sitting back in her seat. She turned back to Julie and they spent the ride conversing about their excitement for the rest of their stay.
It was starting to get late when the team left the restaurant they had dinner at. The team was advised to get to bed as soon as possible so they could practice the next day and get ready for another upcoming interview.
“We should get to bed soon. Don’t want to pass out during an interview,” Fulton said as they walked into their dorm room.
Dean agreed and the two got ready for bed. They both grabbed a glass of water before turning on some music and hopping into bed. Meanwhile Julie and Sophie were doing something similar. They both got ready for bed but skipped the music part. After a few minutes and some unbearably loud music, the two girls were annoyed. Sophie took the task of going to her brother’s room and turning it off herself if she had to.
“Fulton open up!” Sophie yelled as she knocked on the door.
“It all started when our father,” Fulton joked from the other side of the door.
In response Sophie groaned and continued to bang on the door. Fulton finally opened the door, still looking at Dean as the two boys laughed. When he turned to look at Sophie he yelled.
“Sophie put on a shirt!”

Dean, who wasn’t even looking in Sophie’s direction, covered his eyes quickly. Fulton looked at the boy and laughed. Sophie rolled her eyes as she looked down at her tank top.
“Ful, bud, I’m wearing a tank top,” Sophie laughed as she made her way into the room. “Also Dean you are a himbo.”
“A what?” Dean asked as he removed his hand from in front of his eyes.
“A himbo. Look it up,” Sophie said as she turned off the music that was still playing. “Alright goodnight you two.”
“Goodnight.”
When Sophie returned to her room, she found Kenny laying on her bed. Julie explained that a few of the boys had pranked Dwayne and Ken was with them. Sophie laughed at her best friend before flopping onto her bed next to him.
“Alright goodnight,” Sophie said as she snuggled into Kenny’s side and Julie turned off her bedside lamp.

Wander West, in Shadow
BOOK 1 COMPLETED A young wizard journeys west, through dark forests and dangerous lands, searching for something. Accompanied by a wild witch who has secrets of her own, they come across terrible creatures, hauntings, cursed villages, and memories from their past. Who else will they meet along their journey, and to find what he is looking for, how far will the wizard have to wander west? NOTE: The above synopsis is intentionally written to be as spoiler-free as possible. If you would like a more in-detail synopsis, one that contains minor spoilers, please check out the "Synopsis" chapter at the beginning of this fiction. If you read and enjoy, please leave a rating or review! FORMERLY TITLED: THE GLIMMERLING This story was formerly titled "The Glimmerling", because the first part was a short story of that title; it has since been expanded upon, thus the title change. Chapters 1-8 (30k words) are the first 'arc', if you want to get a feel for the story. To give some context on the setting: Magic is a bit weaker in this story than you might be used to, and we start off following some relatively new magic users. For some perspective, being able to light a campfire with magic is considered relatively advanced for someone who is the age of the main character. Magic can become very powerful - and there are some examples of powerful wizards within this story - but it's not where the main characters are yet. Part of the story is about following them as they learn more about magic. Enemies are also very dangerous, and running, hiding, or trying to talk their way out of a dangerous situation is often a better choice than fighting for the characters. While I have added tags for traumatizing content, sexuality, violence, swearing, etc. I try to avoid super-explicit descriptions of these things. But they are part of the story.
8 232The Traitor Games
Welcome to the Traitor Games, and congratulations on your invitation to join as one of the races putting on a show for the galaxy. Your species has been judged as too violent for integration into the Galactic Conglomerate and thus the decision has been made to relegate you to a probationary period during which members of your species will be pitted against each other in games of lies and betrayal. Unfortunate, but the great thing about a probationary period is that it can end! How can we do that; you might be asking. Well, that's easy, if those participants can earn enough points through playing the games, they can potentially buy out your probationary time. Of course, other rewards will also be on offer for success in the games, and if none of your species chooses to be selfless, well then it just goes to show that you wouldn't have been a good fit for us anyway. All those on Earth unlucky enough to not be chosen to become part of one of the most popular shows on Galactic Television, fear not. We will be streaming the various games your race is participating in all across the world. Should we run out of participants, even with our most generous three life system, we will draw more from the population. Good Luck! Noah Landry is one of these participants, he just doesn't know it yet. He blacks out while walking to the local bar McCaffery's, and finds himself, somewhere else. He's wearing clothing he doesn't remember putting on and rocking an absolute banger of a headache. Now he needs to figure out where he is, what's going on, and how he can get out of the Traitor Games. [Participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]

8 111Witchbone: The Goblins Winter
Themes found in these stories include friendship, found family, defying negative expectations, trying to figure out how to be a force for good in your corner of the world, doing heroic things even if you don't look or feel like a hero, and that being different isn't necessarily fatal. Summary: A spell of arctic weather. A mysterious death. The reading of a will. Strange tracks in the snow. Eleven-year-old Danny Hallow accepts his life, such as it is. His father is dead, his mother left years ago. His three Keepers are the only people aware of Danny's erratic and not-very-impressive psychic abilities. He has no friends, he's been suspended from school, and he's responsible for the life of a small brown bat that's ended up in his care. When Danny's estranged Uncle Enoch dies under mysterious circumstances, he and his Keepers are called to the town of Eddystone, New Hampshire for the reading of the man's will. Traveling four hundred miles from his dreaded hometown to attend, Danny is happy to get away, possibly inherit something interesting- and maybe find out more about his family while he's there. Arriving at the crumbling family estate of Gnomewood Home, he finds it to be hauntingly familiar, a bit creepy, oddly comforting, and possibly alive. When his uncle's will reveals that he's inherited Gnomewood and everything in it, he's determined to stay and make a happier life for himself in Eddystone, somehow. But at Gnomewood, he finds more questions than answers to his family's secrets. Disturbing old memories come to him in dreams. His psychic abilities begin to grow stronger, and as a result he becomes aware that a horde of cryptic creatures are plaguing the town of Eddystone, seemingly drawn out by the spell of an unusually frigid February. Toothy little goblins that are sneaky, vicious, and hungry. Goblins that take a particular interest in Danny. Will the emergence of the alien, and potentially dangerous, power he's inherited from his peculiar family tree help Danny survive the goblin infested winter, inadvisable attempts to befriend a terrifying boy with silver eyes, and a new school? Only if he learns to control them before they put him and everyone around him in danger. Before they convince some people that he should never have been allowed to exist at all. Before he becomes just another twisted tale in his family's bizarre history, kept hidden for centuries within the ivy-covered walls of Gnomewood Home.
