one of many to come," Sophie smiled at Fulton as she slipped off the flannel she was wearing that belonged to Dean.
"I'm so excited for this. We're finally doing something together that wasn't forced by dad," Fulton smiled as he adjusted the padding on his arms.
"Ah father kid camping trips. Those sucked," Sophie sighed as she recalled the many camping trips their father took them on throughout the years.
Fulton chuckled at his sister before turning back to getting ready. The entire team was excited but nervous for their first official game as Team USA. Everyone was talking amongst themselves as they continued to get ready before Bombay came into the locker announcing that it was time to get onto the ice.
Throughout most of the game, Sophie was on the bench. It felt weird to her because she was so used to being first line but she wasn't going to complain. She was on Team USA and she wouldn't mess this opportunity up by complaining about not playing as much as she was used to.
Bombay had put her on the ice with a minute left in the game. She was able to pass the puck to Kenny who shot it and made the winning goal for the team. Sophie skated as quickly as she could and grabbed her best friend in a hug, They spun around as Fulton and Dean crashed into them and Fulton slightly lifted his sister off the ground.
"We did it loser!" Sophie smiled as the team walked back into the locker room.
Kenny high fived her as they walked their seperate ways to their individual lockers. Adam, who's locker was on Sophie's left, fist bumped Sophie before turning back to his locker and taking his jersey off.

Once the team was all dressed in their matching tracksuits, they were ushered out of the building and led to where they were having a short press conference. As they walked they admired the buildings they passed and the statues they saw.
Throughout the press conference Sophie stood in the back and zoned out. She assumed that most of the questions were going to be directed at their coach instead of the actual players. What caught her attention was a voice from the back of the audience of reporters.
"Team USA's going down. That's where you're going."
Sophie's head snapped towards the man that she recognized from the NHL. Bombay quietly reprimanded Tibbles for not telling him about Stanson coaching the Iceland team. Upon hearing their coach call the other coach The Dentist, Kenny turned to Sophie and Julie and spoke up.
"That guy's a dentist?"
"It was his nickname. He played one year of pro and punched out more teeth than goals," Sophie began to explain.
Fulton, who had just walked up to the three along with Dean, added onto what his sister was saying.
"He punched out his own coach."
"I heard they ran him out of the league and the country," Julie said as Sophie leaned her head on the blonde's shoulder.
The five looked back over to the Iceland coach and his team and watched as they finally walked out of the stadium. The entire team and their coach's assistant were blonde which made Sophie softly snort.
"That's his team? They're huge!" Kenny said as he finally noticed the players.
"They're also super blonde," Sophie commented.
"Alright guys meet in the school room in an hour!" Bombay called out to the kids as they returned back to the dorms.

As they walked into their room, Julie and Sophie agreed to help pick each other's outfits. They had been informed that they would be having an important visitor and the two wanted to make a good impression.
"I have no idea who this visitor is but I'll be damned if I look a mess and it ends up being someone I've had a crush on," Julie said as she went through Sophie's shirts.
As the two picked out their outfits, they listened to some Spice Girls and danced around. They eventually had their outfits picked out and put them on. Julie put on her baby blue, hoodless sweater and some jean shorts with white tennis shoes. Sophie wore her black jeans, a white spaghetti strap, and Dean's flannel from earlier in the day. She also slipped on her white hightop converse before helping Julie with her hair.
"We should just leave your hair down and add a blue clip on each side," Sophie said as she brushed out Julie's hair.
The blonde agreed and dug through her clip collection before pulling out a few matching baby blue ones. Sophie grabbed one before clipping it into Julie's hair and doing the same to the other side. Julie decided to pull Sophie's hair into a high ponytail using a white scrunchie and leaving her bangs framing her face.
Once the two finished getting ready, they met Kenny and Luis in the lobby before heading to the school room.
"Okay team we have a surprise for you all. We have a visitor for you all who you should be excited to meet. Some of you more than others," Mr. Tibbles told the team once everyone was there. He directed the last sentence at Sophie.
"Watch it's probably gonna be Dominic Lucero," Kenny joked as he looked at Sophie.
Sophie scoffed, rolling her eyes before lightly shoving her best friend. Fulton chuckled at his sister before turning back to the rest of the group.
"Yeah like Dominic Lucero is totally just going to walk through the," Sophie trailed off as she saw the person she was talking about walk through the door.
"Holy crap. Sophie keep talking," Julie grabbed at the other girl's arm.
"He's totally going to walk over to us and talk to us," Sophie said as she grabbed onto Kenny's pinky.
"Hi everyone. I'm Dominic."

Warden of Success - A LitRPG
In the future of Earth humans are no longer the dominant species. Monsters, vampires, elves and all manners of otherworldly threats now threaten the planet and its people. And for one such as Camille, there was nothing she could do. A failed martial artist, Camille swallowed her pride and dreams, all the while sinking into the world of video games. Until she died. Reawakening with newfound power in her very own bed, there's no doubting that she's an oddity. And as the only individual in the world with the body of a video game character, she's ecstatic. No longer will she just be content with playing games in her dark room, taking over fantasy worlds as a great heroine. Rather, she'll do something better. And that'll be to take over the real one instead. Whether it be mages, demons or other supernatural entities that stand in her way, it doesn't matter. Camille may be a level one at first, but dammit if she wasn't going to try to reach one hundred. This is not a crunchy LitRPG and gradually becomes more of a character driven story that just happens to have a main character with LitRPG abilities. There will be a variety of powers/abilities that are explored later in the setting involving magic systems and other technological advancements. The first 10 chapters were written with satirical undertones, but begin to develop more into its own entity after that.

Trial of Champions
It all began with a family trip to an amusement park. How were any of us to expect being transported from Earth to participate in some "Trial of Champions," whatever that was supposed to be? Given only an hour to choose the Classes that would come to define our strengths, we were almost immediately torn away from one another and thrust into a deadly game of survival. It wasn't all bad, though, as terrifying as it could be from time to time. The supernatural and magical powers of the Classes were like something out of an RPG, complete with leveling up by killing monsters and completing so-called "Sub-Trials." And despite the juicy Experience to be gained from killing other Champion Contestants, not all of the participants were bloodthirsty murderers; some could be allied with, or even befriended. Even if it seemed like everyone who had been chosen for this Trial, no matter what universe they came from, was at least a little bit crazy. I would survive this till the end, and I'd make sure that my siblings and parents did as well, no matter how many times we were separated from one another. No matter how long it took. No matter what I had to do. --- A first-person litRPG incorporating classes inspired by D&D and other sources. If you like blue boxes but don't need to have huge lists of numbers to scratch your itch, you should be satisfied on that front. Each chapter is, in my word processing document, seven pages long (approximately 3300-3900 words). The Traumatizing Content warning is there because of discussions of certain topics. Nothing that I think deserves the warning actually happens in the story.
