《This Is Everything I Didn't Say》Sunday Afternoon

Sitting outside my window when the storm is raging

He's cold and I can't keep him in

Wings too tired to fly

Feathers soaked in pain

As my rain keeps him down

I'm afraid I'll just steal his freedom

If I let him in

So I left him there

Cold and soaked

Sitting outside my window when the storm is raging

He might think badly of me right now

But I hope someday he'll realize

In tears I left

To give him the freedom he should get

Author's note:

Shout-out to the dove that sits outside my window as the storm is raging :)

{See the photo I captured a while ago}

I couldn't have the idea of writing this if he didn't stop by at my window.

Don't worry, the dove is now inside my house and I'm keeping him warm (not the kind of warm that I cooked him, noooo! I don't eat dove meat.)

I dedicate this poem to you, lovely dove (though this poem may have multiple interpretations ;D). Hang on, the sun's gonna shine soon and I'll set you free :)
