《Prinxiety One Shots》Karaoke Night

I was so exited! It was the best day of the week! It. Was. Friday!!!

Now I know your asking "Roman what's so special about Friday?" Friday in the mindscape is not only the last day of a school week but is also karaoke night!

As the prince it is quite obvious that karaoke night is my favorite night of the week. I mean I get to sing my favorite songs in front of everyone. Its the best! Who wouldn't love doing that?

All I had to do was wait till 8 pm. Which was hard considering that it was only 5 pm.

I decided to practice my vocals in the mean time. I had nothing better to do. I started to sing.

"How does a bastard, orphan son of a whore

And a Scotsman, dropped in the middle of a forgotten spot in the Caribbean

By providence, impoverished, in squalor, grow up to be a hero and a scholar?"

Virgil looked up from his sketch book. Those were the lyrics to Alexander Hamilton. But who was singing them?

"The 10 dollar

Founding father without a father

Got a lot farther by working a lot harder, by being a lot smarter

By being a self-starter, by 14 they placed him in charge of a trading charter"

Virgil got up from his desk to investigate the singing. Who was singing? They had a beautiful voice the wall mumbled it though so he couldn't place his finger on it.

"And everyday while slaves were being slaughtered and carted away

Across the waves, he struggled and kept his guard up

Inside he was longing for something to be a part of

The brother was ready to beg, steal, borrow or barter"

Virgil opened his door and started to walk in the direction of the voice.

"Then a hurricane came, and devastation reigned

Our man saw his future drip, dripping down the drain

Put a pencil to his temple, connected it to his brain

And he wrote his first refrain, a testament to his pain"

Virgil started humming the lyrics as he closed his eyes and walked to the voices door.

"Well the word got around, they said

'This kid is insane, man!'

Took up a collection just to send him to the mainland

'Get your education, don't forget from whence you came

And the world's gonna know your name. What's your name man?'"

Virgil opened Roman's door at that part and sung the next lyrics.

"Alexander Hamilton"

Roman spun in his chair and stared at Virgil in awe. He smiled and nodded as if telling him to continue. Virgil smiled back and opened his mouth to song the rest of Alexander's part.

"My name is Alexander Hamilton

And there's a million thing I haven't done

But just you wait, just you wait"

Roman sung the part that wasn't Alexander's.

"When he was 10, his father split, full of it, debt ridden

2 years later, see Alex and his mother bed-ridden

Half-dead, sitting in their own sick, the scent thick"

They decided to sing the female and multiple people parts together.

"And Alex got better but his mother went quick"

Roman sung the next part.

"Moved in with a cousin, the cousin committed suicide

Left him with nothing but ruined pride, something new inside

A voice saying, 'Alex you gotta fend for yourself'

He started retreating and reading every treatise on the shelf"

Virgil sung the next part because Roman can't rap

"There woulda been nothing left to do for someone less astute

He woulda been dead and destitute without a cent of restutition

Started working, clerking for his late mother's landlord

Trading sugar cane and rum and all the things he can't afford

Scanning for every book he can get his hands on

Planning for the future, see him now as he stands on

The bow of a ship headed for a new land

In New York you can be a new man"

Roman sung the 'in new York you can be a new man and Virgil sung 'just you wait'

"Just you wait

(In New York you can be a new man) Just you wait

In New York you can be a new man

In New York (New York)

Just you wait!"

Roman sung the next part by himself.

"The ship is in the harbor now, see if you can spot him

Another immigrant coming up from the bottom

His enemies destroyed his rep, America forgot him"

They two sung the next parts together.

"We fought with him

Me? I died for him

Me? I trusted him

Me? I loved him

And me? I'm the damn fool that shot him"

The last part. They were in it together.

"There's a million thing I haven't done

But just you wait

What's your name man?

Alexander Hamilton!"

They looked at each other and laughed happy that they did a duet together.

"Kiddos! Time for karaoke!"

Patton was calling them downstairs. The rushed down the stairs still giggling a bit from the duet.

Patton went first and sung Pompeii by Bastille.

"I was left to my own devices

Many days fell away with nothing to show

And the walls kept tumbling down

In the city that we love

Grey clouds roll over the hills

Bringing darkness from above

But if you close your eyes

Does it almost feel like

Nothing changed at all?

And if you close your eyes

Does it almost feel like

You've been here before?

But if you close your eyes

Does it almost feel like

Nothing changed at all?

And if you close your eyes

Does it almost feel like

You've been here before?

Nothing changed at all

Nothing changed at all

We were caught up and lost in all of our vices

In your pose as the dust settled around us

And the walls kept tumbling down

In the city that we love

Grey clouds roll over the hills

Bringing darkness from above

But if you close your eyes

Does it almost feel like

Nothing changed at all?

And if you close your eyes

Does it almost feel like

You've been here before?

Nothing changed at all

Nothing changed at all

Oh where do we begin?

The rubble or our sins?

Oh where do we begin?

The rubble or our sins?

But if you close your eyes

Does it almost feel like

Nothing changed at all?

And if you close your eyes

Does it almost feel like

You've been here before?

Nothing changed at all

Nothing changed at all"

Everyone clapped and I have to say. Patton's song choice made sense.

Next was Logan he sung Oh No! By Mariana and the diamonds.

"Don't do love, don't do friends

I'm only after success

Don't need a relationship

I'll never soften my grip

Don't want cash, don't want card

Want it fast, want it hard

Don't need money, don't need fame

I just want to make a change

I just wanna change, I just wanna change

I just wanna change, I just wanna change

I just wanna

Change!

I know exactly what I want and who I wanna to be

I know exactly why I walk and talk like a machine

I'm now becoming my own self-fulfilled prophecy

Oh, oh no, oh no, oh no, oh!

One track mind, one track heart

If I fail, I'll fall apart

Maybe it is all a test

'Cause I feel like I'm the worst, so I always act like I'm the best

If you are not very careful

Your possessions will possess you

TV taught me how to feel

Now real life has no appeal

It has no appeal, it has no appeal

It has no appeal, it has no appeal

It has no appeal!

I know exactly what I want and who I wanna to be

I know exactly why I walk and talk like a machine

I'm now becoming my own self-fulfilled prophecy

Oh, oh no, oh no, oh no, oh!

I know exactly what I want and who I wanna to be

I know exactly why I walk and talk like a machine

I'm now becoming my own self-fulfilled prophecy

Oh, oh no, oh no, oh no, oh!

I'm gonna live, I'm gonna fly

I'm gonna fail, I'm gonna die

I'm gonna live, I'm gonna fly

I'm gonna fail, gonna da-da-da-da-die

I know exactly what I want and who I wanna be

I know exactly why I walk and talk like a machine

I'm now becoming my own self-fulfilled prophecy

Oh, oh no, oh no, oh no, oh!

I know exactly what I want and who I wanna be

I know exactly why I walk and talk like a machine

I'm now becoming my own self-fulfilled prophecy

Oh, oh no, oh no, oh no, oh!

Oh, oh no, oh no, oh no, oh!"

Everyone clapped and Virgil looked at Roman telling him to go next. Roman playfully rolled his eyes, smiled, and walked on stage.

Roman sung Happily Ever After by Steven Universe.

"Here we are in the future

Here we are in the future and it's bright

Nothing to fear

No one to fight

I can't believe we've come so far

Happily ever after here we are

Once upon a time, I thought I'd always be in my mother's shadow

Answering for her crimes I thought I'd always be in an endless battle

Until I began to own

A power all my own

That I could feel growing stronger every day

And now I saved the world

Not just that- the whole galaxy saved

We did it!

Here we are in the future!

Hey Pearl, hey Dad!

Hey Stchuball!

Steven! I'm learning to play the bass

I keep telling her, it's "bass."

Excuse me, B-A-S-S spells "bass."

You're the boss

Heck yes, I am!

Once upon a time

I only lived to be of Pink Diamond's service

Until the day the two of us snuck down to be on this planet's surface

We became our fantasy

And I was sure she set me free

But in the end, I guess I never left her side

And after love and loss and all the tears that I cried, I find that-

Here we are in the future!

Hey buddy

I'm heading into town

See you at the concert tonight?

Wouldn't miss it for the world!

Here we are!

I saved you a seat

Thanks, Garnet!

Hey guys, what'd I miss?

You're just in time for my favorite part of the story

Once upon a time, a Sapphire came to Earth with her Ruby soldier

Sapphire's deadly fate was set until the Ruby rushed in to hold her

Suddenly they were fusing

Beautiful, strange, confusing

And there I was, a bundle of questions, so naive

And if you told me this I never would've believe you then but-

Here we are in the future!

Let me just save this

Hey, any idea what Amethyst is up to?

I have every idea what everyone is up to

You'll find her if you head to Little Homeworld

Take the warp

Woah! Careful dude!

Pew pew!

One, two, three, hah!

Thanks, Amethyst!

Steven! You're just in time!

We're about to install the new warp

Which means Little Homeworld is 83.7 percent complete!

Only 83.7 percent? We'd better get cracking!

I'm on it!

Wow, Little Homeworld's growing fast!

So are you!

"Look at me! I'm a young adult!"

I love that all these Gems wanna make their new home on Earth

Wish I'd had this when I first emerged

Once upon a time, I burst to life inside of the Kindergarten

A product of a war that I had no idea I had a part in

I came out late and alone

Knew nothing but my home

But I know now exactly who I'm supposed to be

And It's a part of this family!

So, whaddya think?

If I could just stop right here and be

Finally done

Finally us

Finally we are in the future

Here we are in the future and it's bright!

Nothing to fear

No one to fight

I can't believe we've come so far

Happily ever after

Happily ever after

Happily ever after

Here we are!"

We all clapped and I blushed remembering how good of a singer he was. Virgil had a big time crush on Roman. But it was his turn. Virgil sung Holiday by Green Day.

"Hear the sound of the falling rain

Coming down like an Armageddon flame (hey!)

A shame

The ones who died without a name

Hear the dogs howlin' out of key

To a hymn called faith and misery (hey!)

And bleed, the company lost the war today

I beg to dream and differ from the hollow lies

This is the dawning of the rest of our lives

On holiday

Hear the drum pounding out of time

Another protester has crossed the line (hey!)

To find, the money's on the other side

Can I get another Amen (Amen!)

There's a flag wrapped around a score of men (hey!)

A gag, A plastic bag on a monument

I beg to dream and differ from the hollow lies

This is the dawning of the rest of our lives

On holiday

"The representative from California has the floor"

Sieg Heil to the president gasman

Bombs away is your punishment

Pulverize the Eiffel towers

Who criticize your government

Bang bang goes the broken glass and

Kill all the fags that don't agree

Trials by fire setting fire

Is not a way that's meant for me

Just cause

Just cause

Because we're outlaws yeah!

I beg to dream and differ from the hollow lies

This is the dawning of the rest of our lives

I beg to dream and differ from the hollow lies

This is the dawning of the rest of our lives

This is our lives on Holiday"

Everyone clapped but Virgil looked at Roman. Roman was blushing faintly and clapping.

Virgil walked over to Roman.

"Hey Roman do you want to go on a date? Maybe? Sometime soon?"

"Virgil are you asking me on a date?"

"Maybe~"

"Well then maybe I'll go~"

"Kiss! Kiss! Kiss!"

Roman and Virgil looked over and saw Patton chanted 'kiss' and Logan smirking at them. Roman and Virgil blushed. They forgot the other to boys were in the room.

This was going to the best date ever.
