"Hey, Lo."

"Oh, hello Remus." Logan glanced up from his book. "Did you need something?"

"I have a new scenario for you." Remus sat down next to Logan on his bed.

"What is it?" Logan asked, placing a bookmark in his book and closing it.

"If..." Remus began, hesitating slightly. "If someone is drunk, and they give you consent. Does...does that classify as rape?"

Logan's eyes widened for a moment. "How drunk?"

"Blackout drunk. Like, can't-remember-shit drunk."

"Then, yes." Logan told him.

"But they gave consent!"

"Yes, but whilst they were intoxicated." Logan stated matter-of-factly. "The definition of rape is intercourse with someone who is incapable of valid consent. A drunk person wouldn't be making good decisions, Remus. I doubt they would be capable of valid consent."

Remus pursed his lips, looking away. "But--I--"

Logan sighed. "Remus, why are you asking?"

Remus snapped his head to Logan. "What? I-It was just a scenario. Something to keep your mind sharp!"

Logan hummed. "Right, like the plan I gave you to break Roman and Janus up?"

Remus' heart leapt in his throat, his eyes widening. "What?"

"I'm literally the embodiment of Logic, Remus. I put two and two together instantly." Logan rolled his eyes.

"How...?"

"Well," Logan began. "You wouldn't talk to me without good reason, so you must've needed me for something. It was easy to tell that you were asking so you could break a couple up. Then, it was just process of elimination."

Remus furrowed his brow. "And you still helped me?"

"Yeah," Logan chuckled. "I did."

"Why?"

Logan paused, seeming to contemplate what he was going to say next.

"I was in love with Patton."

Remus' eyes widened comically. "What?! You were in love with Patton?!"

Logan snorted. "Yeah." He mumbled, shaking his head. "I thought we were perfect for each other. He lights up a room, brought color to my life, I thought I needed him."

Remus furrowed his brow. But Patton was dating--

"When Virgil confessed to him, I thought I would die."

Oh.

"I was so angry. I felt betrayed." Logan hissed, glaring at the floor. "Who was Virgil to take Patton from me? They hadn't been friends as long as Patton and I had been. I deserved Patton more than Virgil did."

Remus frowned, thinking that sounded familiar.

"I felt hurt, and I wanted Virgil to feel the same way I did." Logan adjusted his tie. "So I made a plan."

Remus' eyes widened. "Was it--?"

"The plan I gave you? Yeah." Logan chuckled humorlessly. "I was going to sabotage all of their dates. I scratched up the DVDs they were using, I broke Virgil's presents, I did terrible things."

Logan sighed. "It wasn't until I found myself strangling Virgil that I realized I had stopped doing this to be with Patton." Logan murmured. "It became more about my pride, my greed, my lust. I didn't want Patton as a partner, I wanted him to be mine."

"Yours...?"

"I wanted him as a figurative prize. It was then that I knew I wasn't in love with Patton anymore, but the thought of the two of them apart." Logan crossed his arms.

Remus furrowed his brow, letting Logan's words sink in.

"Obviously, my plan didn't work. In fact, I'm pretty sure it brought them closer together." Logan scoffed. "But, at the end of the day, Patton's happy. So, I'm happy."

"Are you still in love with Patton?" Remus asked.

Logan thought about it, huffing. "I don't think so. He's one of my closest friends, but I don't think I view him like that anymore."

"But you were in love with him for so long!"

"People grow up, Remus. They change." Logan put a hand on Remus' shoulder, giving him a smile. "The reason I helped you, is because I wanted you to learn this lesson yourself."

Remus blinked, stunned.

His face crumpled alarmingly, and he buried his face in Logan's shoulder.

Logan startled, not quite sure what the proper reaction was. He awkwardly gave Remus two pats on the back.

"I've done terrible things, Lo. Unspeakable things." Remus murmured into Logan's shoulder.

"You have." Logan agreed. "But you can't change the past. What's done is done. You have to look foward now."

"How can I ever face him again?" Remus asked, pulling himself away.

"Well, that's up to you." Logan hummed.

"What have I done?" Remus mumbled to himself. "I'm a monster."

"No, you're a side--" Logan paused, before giving Remus another smile. "Then hey, we can be monsters together."

They sat in silence for a bit, Remus thinking about what Logan had said.

"I...I finished the book you gave me." Remus mumbled.

"Romeo and Juliet?" Logan asked. Remus nodded. "Ah, I figured you wouldn't even open it."

"Well, I didn't wanna be rude." Remus chuckled. "You were right."

"About how it's beautiful?"

"No," Remus shook his head. "About how some love isn't meant to be."

Logan smiled sadly. "I know it feels like the end of the world. But in reality, the earth still spins, and the clocks still tick. Time moves foward, even if you don't."

"So, I'll be left behind?"

"If you keep focusing on the past." Logan hummed. "I think for now, you should give Janus some space. But when you think he's ready, you should do your best to apologize. The rest relies on him."

"I don't think he'll ever forgive me." Remus buried his face in his hands.

"He won't forgive you, unless you forgive yourself." Logan told him.

Remus sighed, glancing at Logan. "You're really incredible, Lo."

Logan's eyes widened, before a large smile found its way to his face.

"Thank you, Remus."
